“I honestly think this is the best decision to make for your career.”

The start of 2024 has not been kind to Centurion, who not only enters without the Anarchy Title, but enters on a three match losing streak, including to Madison Dyson, a nemesis Centurion has yet to take down. This, coupled with the actions taken by General Manager Jett Sterling, has caused Team Centurion to evaluate all options in front of him.

We open up inside Centurion's luxury cabin in the Poconos. There, sitting in a leather chair next to the fireplace of his living room, is Centurion in a smoking jacket. He is reading over a document handed to him by Nellie, who stands in front of him. Centurion's eyes arch in confusion as he reads each line.

“A letter of resignation?” Centurion asks as he looks up at Nellie.

“It's time, Dad.” Nellie says, confidently. “At least for now. There's nothing more for you to do on the brand. You've won the belt three times. The GM is actively starting to screw you, and now you're being booked against comedy acts.”

“Won't this be seen as giving up?” Centurion asks as he folds the letter.

“I'm sure some people will accuse you of that.” Nellie quickly answers. “But they're going to talk shit no matter what you do. If you leave, you're giving up. If you stay and lose, you're broken down and terrible. If you stay and win, you're padding your resume. There's nothing to win here anymore.”

“I don't like leaving unfinished business behind.” Centurion says as he looks at the side and his voice trails off.

“What unfinished business?!” Nellie says, almost annoyed by the statement. “What, you're afraid the general public is going to miss out on those great Centurion/Rickinator matches?!”

“You know” Centurion says with a slight chuckle, “you can be a real bitch sometimes.”

“Yeah, well, it runs in the family.” Nellie responds rather dismissively.

“I don't give a shit about Rickinator.” Centurion responds back. “I don't care about Dick Drizzle or Roddy Diaper or any of those other bullshit wrestlers that seem to pop up on the Anarchy roster every couple of months. If Jett wants to keep them around so he has something to laugh at, then fine. It has nothing to do with them.”

“It might have nothing to do with them, but those are what is in your immediate future.” Nellie says. “Jett sent you back to the bottom of the ladder. That's what that three count was. It wasn't just him costing you a shot at the title - it was him sending you back down the ladder…”

“Then I'll climb back up the ladder!” Centurion angrily yells back. “And I'll do it as often as I need to! I don't know if you've noticed, but I'm getting pretty good at doing that.”

“And what's the end game, Dad?!” Nellie yells back. “What is the final goal of all this pain and frustration, because from where I'm sitting, all you're doing is hurting your credibility…”

“You think I give a damn about my credibility?!” Centurion yells as he stands up from his chair, tossing the letter down onto the end table next to him. “Type my name into Twitter. I don't HAVE any credibility. In the eyes of the losers on that app, I'm nothing more than a burnt out old man, and I'm sure there's a lot of people in that locker room and in that crowd that think the EXACT same thing, and you know what? I honestly don't care. If I'm old, boring, and washed up, then I'll live with that. I'll beat the shit out of Rickinator over and over and over again if I have to if that's what it takes to get what I want.”

“And what you want is…”

“DYSON!” Centurion screams, causing Nellie to back up. There is a few seconds of silence before Centurion explains. “I will face a thousand Dick Drizzles and a million Rickinators if it means I get another shot at Dyson.”

Nellie sighs as she hangs her head. She walks over to the end table and grabs the letter she gave Centurion earlier, and tucks it back into its envelope. She walks over to Centurion and calmly talks to him.

“It is your career, and it is your decision. I just know what I see, and facing The Rickinator is beneath you. These struggles against wrestlers you would have crushed 15 years ago is hard to watch sometimes. And I know you have all the pride in the world, but before you embark on this journey, you seriously need to ask yourself…”

Nellie taps the letter against Centurion's chest before Centurion grabs it. 

“Are you even capable of beating Madison Dyson?”

Nellie says nothing after that. She just turns and walks away, leaving Centurion in sort of a stunned silence. He is used to doubting his own abilities, and he is used to the general public thinking he no longer has it anymore, but to hear the words come out of his daughter's mouth sent a shock to his system. Centurion looks at the letter one more time before sighing and pla
cing it inside his pocket as the camera cuts.”
