His father, Hector, owned and operated his own training gym, The Coliseum, and with the help of his uncle Anton maintained a successful business. At the age of 10, Hector traveled to Japan for reasons unknown to Dionysus, and at the age of 12, he had lost all contact with him, leaving him and his mother, Silvia, to fend for themselves. He chose on that day to follow in his father's footsteps, hoping to find him one day. During his schooling, he participated on the wrestling teams, including when he enrolled at the University of Minnesota. While studying there, he earned a Bachelors degree in History with a minor in Exercise Science.

His father, Hector, owned and operated his own training gym, The Coliseum, and with the help of his uncle Anton maintained a successful business. At the age of 10, Hector traveled to Japan for reasons unknown to Dionysus, and at the age of 12, he had lost all contact with him, leaving him and his mother, Josephine, to fend for themselves. He chose on that day to follow in his father's footsteps, hoping to find him one day. During his schooling, he participated on the wrestling teams, including when he enrolled at the University of Minnesota. While studying there, he earned a Bachelors degree in History with a minor in Exercise Science.
Dionysus' in-ring debut came in the summer of 2016, when he joined the Wrestling Championship Federation (WCF). During his time, he joined a faction called The Brotherhood, a group of misfits with the common goal of building each other up led by the enigmatic Kevin Bishop. When his friend and fellow faction member, Lester Parish, passed away suddenly, Dionysus vowed that he would become stronger. He went on to compete in the 2017 Trilogy Cup, where he bested longtime rivals Zero Tolerance to win the tournament and earning a shot at the WCF World Heavyweight Championship. His time would come at the Blast PPV, where he defeated Jared Holmes, David Sanchez, and Jason O'Neal to win not only his first world title, but his first title as a whole. An injury after the match forced him to take time away from the ring.
He returned in February of 2018 as part of the inaugural roster for Action Wrestling (AW). His tenure in AW has been one of many classic matches, but very little in the way of success. That is, until Havoc 2021, where he campaigned to be the number one entrant in the Havoc Rumble match. During the match, he turned his former rival, Downfall, into a helpful ally, and the two formed The Vanguard, winning the AW Tag Team championships and holding the title for a record 288 days, the second-longest single reign in the company's history. He has also been a part of the Level Up Wrestling (LU) roster, winning the Courage Championship, in Absolute Power Wrestling (APWO), where he was a finalist for their inaugural world title tournament, and a participant in the World Series of Wrestling, where he took 6th place.
Dionysus strives to bring the best competition he can, whether he wins or loses. He won't allow anyone to think he is a slouch in the ring. He is focused, determined, and ready to win. ...That said, he also enjoys a nice Merlot from time to time.
The Story So Far:
Dionysus debuted in XWF at the 2023 Snow Job PPV, who teamed with fellow newcomer Blondie and formed Chardonnay. He also participated in the 2023 March Madness tournament. He left his mark during March Madness 2023, where he made it to the semifinal round in his first appearance in the tournament. He defeated Isaiah King to win the XWF Television Championship, his first singles championship in the company. His efforts helped his team during War Games reach the final round, though he was eliminated early on. During War Games, Dionysus traveled with his team to Cairo for "team building." According to the team, they met a genie named The Wishmonger who granted them any wish they desired, and Dionysus wished to be anywhere he wanted to be, resulting in him "being split into four distinct personalities." Referring to the group as The Many Faces, Dionysus is now attempting to help establish the lives of his "brothers/cousins/clones:" Daniel, who has yet to accept his current status, Devin, who is happy-go-lucky if apprehensive, and Wide Dio, who is also there.
Soon after he lost the Television title to Angelica Vaughn, only to win it back from her two months later. He held the title for 57 days before dropping the belt to Bulk Logan. Opportunity knocked once again, as he defeated BOB D for the Xtreme Championship at Fire and Ice 2023. Now, having bested legends such as Centurion and Hawaiian Hardhead, Dionysus looks to a brighter future, hopefully with a briefcase in hand, to usher in a new era in XWF.

Ring Entrance (PLEASE write one out for use in match/show writing): The lights dim as multiple spotlights rotate throughout the arena. As "Zenorus" begins to play, the spotlights all point to the stage, illuminating a velvet red curtain. As the orchestra dies down, vines creep from around the edges of the curtain, and rose petals begin to fall around the arena. Then, on the entrance of the choir in the music, the curtain is drawn open, revealing the imposing figure of Dionysus, holding a Thyrsus in his right hand and a shield on his left arm. He clashes the staff against his shield to rouse the crowd to clap with him, then roars, raising the Thyrsus above his head.
"Making his way to the ring, from Minneapolis MN, weighing in at 270 lbs; he is The Catalyst, DIONYSUS!"
Dionysus sets the Thyrsus and shield next to the ring apron and rolls inside, running to one of the turnbuckles and climbing up to rally the crowd behind him. He then hops down and limbers up, awaiting his opponent.

Additional Notes (What are some things that they would ALWAYS do? Or would NEVER do?):
Dionysus carries a spartan shield and a Thyrsus (a staff with a pinecone on one end, symbol of the greek god) as part of his entrance. In hardcore matches, he will attempt to use these as weapons. While decorative, they are very much real.
((Also, as an OOC note, the Pentagram Choke Hold is basically a Triagle Choke Hold, but uses five points to choke instead of three. The Death Star variant of that is a little weird to explain in text, so DM me if you're planning on using that in a match and I'll make sure to get you a video of it.
Regarding the entrance music, the song title and the artist are one in the same.))
