Despite her in-ring reputation as a daredevil, Alex didn’t see herself as an impulsive person. So far as her wrestling career was concerned, she had been rattling the idea of returning to the ring around in her head for quite a long time before biting the bullet and signing an XWF contract.

As the Christmas festivities ended, Alex drove her parents to the airport and bade a tearful farewell before boarding a flight herself and ending up at the offices. Sure, she could’ve probably done that online but Alex loved the opportunity to travel and given the last couple of years, any excuse was a good one.

She’d just signed her contract, Chewie napping in a papoose on her back and a smile across her face. She missed wrestling so much. That smile grew even wide as she saw someone walk towards her.

Alex: Hi! What’s up!?

Tommy simply watches the new breed coming along, with him reading a newspaper sitting on a chair.

"I pray for these rookies to be ready for what's to come..."

He then continues to read his newspaper, until something happens.

Alex was taken aback by these two gentlemen. Their style of hair and tattoos wasn't exactly her thing but live and let live.

As for their way of introducing themselves to her...it wasn't exactly the height of charm but looking at these two guys diffused the situation somewhat. They looked more like unrefined dimwits than anything legitimately threatening. Silently cursing herself for seeing them in such an unkind light, Alex began to smile again.

Alex: I'm living fine....I think......I don't quite know how to answer that question. Are you guys internet celebs or something?

Politely, Alex put up her hand whilst grinning at Vinnie. If there was one thing she liked about XWF already, it was that she had a nice boss.

Alex: it'd be nice to catch-up if you're not too busy. I haven't seen you since Malibu and-

Alex suddenly felt something rub against her back before Chewie started climbing up over shoulder and sniffing the air, as Alex stroked his thick fur.

Alex: Rise and shine, sweetie! Boy, that flight made you sleepy, didn't it? *gasp* And look! It's your friend, Vinnie!

Alex picked up the squirming but contented rodent and held him towards Vinnie.

Tommy hears the commotion around, so he knocks on the door.

"Hey everything alrigh---"

Then he see's Alex holding her pet, and he was scared for a moment.

"I had no clue this place lets animals run free here, um... I hope I wasn't interrupting anything just checking into this place. Um, you must be Vegan Yin?"

Then he see's her with a some sorta head nod.

"Well I am Tommy Wish... THUG extraordinaire... i'd personally like to welcome you to Vinnie's asylum... i mean company, and I hope you excel here in this place coming 2022 and beyond!"

He then stands there with an awkward smile on his face, as the day progressed.

Alex puts Chewie back in his papoose and awkwardly shuffles.

Alex: I hate to correct you but it's Alex Minett-Vega-Yin. No worries, though. It's an odd name with a long story behind it.

Alex suddenly smiles again as she bounces slightly on her feet.

Alex: You seem rather sweet for a thug!

Tommy then gets a bottle of water to drink, then looks from her head to toe, especially to her toes then he looks into her eyes.

"My bad, I'm not really good with names so please forgive me, I'll simply call you Vega so I don't embarrass myself. I guess i'm a low key sweet guy, and I think you are a rather a sweet lady yourself. I mean, i'm kind of like a low key type of thug with some heart of gold or something like that... anyways, what let you be acquainted with Vinnie and partake in this company?"

Alex had to take a moment to think, since she and Vinnie didn't have the most direct relationship. They were friends...kind of...but the backstory was a bit bizarre.

Alex: Well...we sort of met through his girlfriend, Roxy. Her friend Kenzi and I....well, we almost married eachother a few years back...mega drama...Chewie, my little chinchilla buddy, is good friends with Vinnie and Roxy....but Roxy would deny it. We also used to be neighbours when I lived in Malibu but now I live in Florida and...I'm...rambling, aren't I?

Marf, doing his usual unnecessary rounds in the 24/7 hallways, stops as he hears part of this strange interaction. Poking his head into the doorway, Marf eyes the newcomer speaking with Tommy Wish and smirks.

Sweet? Ms Yin, ole Tommy boy is the same kinda sweet towards women that Ted Bundy was. He’s a real gentleman until that Yuletide fire log caves in the back of your skull…

Alex, however, was paying attention to Marf's words. Were they to be heeded? Possibly but both men were strangers to her. No reason to trust one more than the other. Regardless, the mental image Marf had conjured up was less than pleasant.

Alex: Ummmmm...thanks for the warning...I guess...

Marf simply smiles as Tommy passes him. He even gives him a slight nod, acknowledging their past. Marf glances over at Roxy and her Gillberg sized “flame thrower” as she starts a small fire in the trash can. Finally he rests his eyes back upon Alex Minett Vega Yin. He tips an invisible hat towards her.

More fact as opposed to warning love…but in all honesty, the only one around here you should be warned about is that dude right there.

Marf slowly points directly at Vinnie Lane who looks at him both surprised and offended.

He reaches into his pocket and tosses three dollars worth of quarters and a crumpled piece of paper with half the recipe for banana baked pie over to Schism.
