Coming off a huge win at PPV, Christine and Matt head to the hotel in Chicago and head up the the room. They get to the room and finds that it had one king size bed in it and a sofa. Christine looks at Matt.



Christine: Hmm well I guess there is only one bed. Ok, well I am going to take a shower. You go change and then we can go get something to eat.

Matt: Alright.

Christine: You stay good... I might take that collar off tonight.

Matt nods and then smiles when she turns her back. She grabs her clothing and heads into the bathroom. Matt scurries around picking out something to wear. He dresses with 5 mins to spare as Christine comes out dressed real nice. She looked just like he remembered when they were together. He walks over to her.

Matt: You look beautiful tonight.

She smiles at the complement sense it has been a while sense he had given her on. She looks him over and smiles in approval.

Christine: Thank you and you look very nice too. Now I know they will frown on that collar on you. So for now, I will take it off. But I will not promise that it will stay off. But we will see.

She walks behind him and unlocks the collar and takes it off. She lays it on the table next to the luggage. She then looks at him.

Christine: So I guess you can say, your reward is a offical date. You deserve one night without me calling or treating you like a pet. Now I know you know this place like the back of your hand sense you are from here and I know we could have stayed at the house... but tonight, I promised a treat. I didn't do it after the PPV, so tonight we have this lovely room and the date.

For this moment... she seemed normal, like her old self. The Christine that Matt fell in love with. Was this a chance that he wanted to get her back or was this just a one night thing and he goes back to the pet by morning. Whatever it was... he was going to take advantage of being free for the night as long as she would let him. He extends his arm to her and she takes it as they walk out of the room.

While Christine and I are walking out of the hotel room where this was the chance that i needed to prove to her that what happened in UWR was in the past. As we get out of the hotel we walk across the street to the rain forest cafe so we can go to dinner. While walking across the street i started to speak.

Matt Ward This feels good to be with you with no kids and no stress when it is just us.

Christine looks at me then i start to speak.

Matt Ward Do you remember the reason why i brought you here?

Christine looks at me then she starts to speak

She looks at Matt as she thought back. Then it hit her.

Christine: Wasn't this where you took me back when we had our first date, way back after what Jason did?

Matt nods.

Christine: Wow! You still remember that?

She looks at him in shock.

I look at Christine then i start to speak.

Matt Ward Yeah i still remember. Do you remember where we went after that?

Christine looks at me then she starts to speak

She looks at Matt a moment and shakes her head.

Christine: No, sorry. I was pretty messed up back then. What are you up to? Are you reliving that night?

She was confused at what he was up to.

I look at Christine then i start to speak

Matt Ward Yeah that is exactly what i am doing, because after we had dinner we went bowling at Lucky Strike Lounge then after that we took a horse drawn carriage ride around the city that leads us back to the hotel.

Christine looks at me then she starts to speak

She smiles as she looks at him.

Christine: Sounds nice. I guess I have blocked some of it cause I can't remember it all. But I do know... I suck at bowling. Always have.

Matt: Don't worry about it. You will and always have been just fine.

Christine: Only cause you can beat me.

She laughs. She was quite relaxed and quite normal at the moment and to Matt, it felt like the old days.

I look at Christine then i start to speak.

Matt Ward There were times that you have defeated me.

Christine looks at me then i start to speak.

Matt Ward Yeah i know you have phased out moments from after that happened. But now we have to start to phase out UWR.

Christine looks at me then she starts to speak as the waiter starts to walk up.

She looks at the waiter.

Christine: Yeah, I can't remember those days... I do know that first date was fun and you kick my butt in bowling.

She smiles.

Christine: I would like a sweet iced Tea with lemon please.

I look at Christine then i start to speak.

Matt Ward I would like a Sweet Tea with no lemon.

The waiter leaves then i start to speak.

Matt Ward Yeah i know, but i remember after that date, we had to embrace court for the trail. I still remember how you broke down on the stand.

Christine looks at me as she starts to speak.

She looks down as tears comes to her eyes.

Christine: Yes I remember. I had to tell the whole story and relive it. I hated it. It hurt like hell reliving that over and over until the trial was over. I remember they had you and James and my brother on the stand too. Simon couldn't hardly talk.

She looks up.

Christine: Then do it all over again after Scotty was born. Glad that part is over.

I look at Christine then i start to speak.

Matt Ward Yeah i know, i am just glad we don't have to go through that now since Varsity was born.

Christine looks at me as i put my hand on top of her hand interlocking our fingers then she starts to speak.

Christine: Yeah, and Simon has Scotty, Addy and Varsity. I don't know who has the others. All I know is Simon thought it was better this way sense I have been totally nuts.

The waiter returns with the drinks and places them down.

Christine: You know... this is the longest I have gone without getting all... well crazy.

I look at Christine then i start to speak

Matt WardYeah i know, maybe this is what you needed.

Christine looks at me while the waiter brings our drinks then i start to speak

Matt Ward I will have a steak well done.

Christine looks at me then she looks at the waiter then she starts to speak

Christine: Same but med. And a side salad.

The waiter writes it down and then leaves.

Christine: I don't know... maybe. I can't garentee it will stay like this, like I told you back in the room. I never know exactly when I will snap again. Right now, you caught me at a normal moment. But, when and if I do... just be prepared. SHE is still pissed. So when SHE takes over... no telling what she will do to you. The Twisted one I think like to have the... you know. I said I wouldn't talk or call you that tonight.

She looks down.

Christine: Right now... I just feel me as me... I am a screw up. Me as her... I am a loonitic. Bad ass nutcase.

She sighs while still looking down. At least for now... things felt normal... but were far from it. She had a few tears in her eyes as she tried to keep control. This was his hometown and she wasn't going to humilate him. She didn't want one of his brothers or a friend to walk up and see what she had done to him. She had been a jurk but she wasn't that mean.

Christine has tears wanting to come out while i use my free hand i wipe the tears off her face then i start to speak.

Matt Ward I know, i guess i am getting lucky dodging the demon side of you. I wonder what the demon was thinking when i helped you get the victory, even though i know you would have won with out my help.

Christine looks at me then she starts to speak.

She grins.

Christine: Yes you have dodged her for the most part. I am not sure and I don't want her to come out to find out. I don't think the owner of this place would appreciate that. I am trying to keep the others locked away for a few reasons. One... this is your hometown, don't want to embarass you. What if James or Jeremy or one of your other family members walked up. Or one of your friend. I'm not that mean.

She looks at their hands. She hadn't pulled her hand away as their fingers were enter wound.

Christine Second, I don't want HER to distroy anything. I remember what you said your demon did in TMWF. I don't want this one to do the same. Nor do I want to scare anyone. I ain't saying I completely trust yet... but I knew the collar would draw attention and tonight, don't want that kind of attention. All the voices in my head are saying a million things and it is really hard do focus. I am really trying to be normal for one night at least. Just bare with me.

She look up at Matt as he speaks.

I look at Christine then i start to speak.

Matt Ward You know my demon still sense when yours is still in trouble, that was another reason why i helped you.

Christine looks at me then i start to speak again

Matt Ward I know you are going to do great on for this week show, i have a good feeling that you are going to be the next contender for the US title.

Christine looks at me then she starts to speak.

She was surprised he was supporting her so much... even after everything she did to him sense they both showed up on the scene here.

Christine: That makes one of us.

Matt: Trust me... your 2 for 2. You can do this.

Christine Yeah, but I am a little nervious about it. I mean two matches in one night?

Matt: You will do fine and I will be there with you just like I was at PPV.

She nods still not feeling great going into the next show. She starts to look down but Matt lifts her chin as he speaks.

i look at Christine then i start to speak.

Matt Ward Christine you are just going to have to train harder that means if i have to spar against the demon i will do it to help you get ready for the match.

Christine looks at me then she starts to speak.

She looks surprised.

Christine: You sure you want to do that? She could really hurt you?

Matt: Yes, I am sure.

She sigh as the food was brought out. She looks at the food and then at Matt.

Christine: Looks good.

She kinda picks at it for a while. She had a lot on her mind and the voice weren't helping. She was trying to keep them inside but it wasn't easy. Matt had let go of her hand to cut his meat when he noticed she was just picking at her food again. The question was.... what was bothering her. It had to be more than just the match.

i look at Christine then i start to speak.

Matt Ward Christine what the matter, come on spill it.

Christine looks at me then she starts to speak

Christine: Spill what?

Matt: Come on Chrissy. I know when something is bothering you. I should after 7 yrs.

She nods.

Christine: Yeah I guess you would.

Matt: Spill it.

She looks down still playing with her food.

Christine: I guess it is cause all this stuff I buried is coming back... and.... I...

Tears fill her eyes again.

Christine: I don't know how to... to handle it cause I buried it... instead of dealing with it.

I tear runs down her face as the holes Matt made earlier were a little bigger and more of her heart was showing.

i look at Christine then i start to speak.

Matt Ward You need to face them, i am here to help you Christine. we need to let go of what happened in UWR and focus on us here right now.

Christine looks at me then she starts to speak.

Tears still running down her face.

Christine: Easier said than done. I didn't want to feel this pain again. I didn't want to hurt. burying it made it easier but at the same time... more crazy. I don't think I will ever lose the craziness... I just don't want to hurt anymore. Opening the old wounds... that is what is starting all this.

She covers her face as years of pain from Jason all the way up to UWR starts to surface. Emotions she surpressed all rising. Tears still running down her face as she closed her eyes trying to get a grip and failing.

I grab Christine as i pull her close to me since we were in a both as i start to speak.

Matt Ward Christine if you need to let it out then let it out i am going to be here for you. You have a shoulder to cry on.

Christine looks at me as i passionately kiss her after the kiss she starts to speak.

She looks up at him as the tears still fell.

Christine: You... you really care?

Matt: Yes it is what I have been telling you. I let you do all this to be able to help you.

Christine: But I have been so mean to you. The collar, locking you up... everything. Why you doing this?

Her make pretty much ruined with the tears that had stained her face as she look at him, confused and broken. Tears still falling, he held her close as he could feel her trembling under him.

i look at Christine then i start to speak.

Matt Ward You weren't being mean, your demon was testing me to see if she could trust me again, i know that what it was, that why i wasn't putting up a fight over it.

Christine and I get up as we go pay for the dinner at the register as we leave the restaurant as we go to our next stop. Once we got into the limo i look at Christine as i put my arms around her while i start to speak

She shrugs.

Christine: I don't know. Right now... I don't know much of anything.

He looks at her as she looks down.

Christine: I probably look like a total mess.

I look at Christine then i start to speak.

Matt Ward Even when you are a total mess you still are beautiful.

The Driver turns down the street where the bowling alley is location on while Christine starts to speak.

Christine: I don't remember a limo back then... but then again, I don't remember a lot about that night. I do remember you were upset that Jason had hurt me. I don't remember or don't know why you were. But there are a lot of gaps in my memories now.

He holds her a little tighter.

Christine: When we get there... I will go clean up and try to fix my mess.

He kisses her forhead.

Christine: Was I this bad? I mean back then. Was I this messed up?

I look at Christine then i start to speak.

Matt Ward I don't have the car i had back then now, so that why i got the limo, to answer your question, yes you were like this after Jason happened. I even remember when you told me you were pregnant with Scotty, i knew how scared you were.

Christine looks at me while the limo driver pulls up while she starts to speak.

Christine: Yeah, I didn't want his kid. But Now I am glad I kept Scotty. Glad he don't act like his dad.

The Limo stops and and the driver opens the door and helps Christine out as Matt follows. They walk up towards the door as he had his arm around her.

Christine: Remind me... why were so so upset then?

I look at Christine then i start to speak

Matt Ward You want to know why we were so pissed? he took something from you that you were not ready to give up yet. That why i was pissed that he didn't take for an answer so he took advantage of you.

Christine looks at me as we enter the bowling alley then she starts to speak.

She looks down as Matt lift her face.

Christine: Longest weekend of my life. Don't know how he got away with it for 3 days.

Matt: Yeah, when we found you Monday, it was hard to see the shell he left.

Christine: Hard recovering. Just when I put it all behind me... I found out he got me pregnant. You, James and Simon talked me into keeping the baby.

Matt: See talking about it... it is helping. Your letting it go.

Christine A little.

He takes her hand and starts to lead her to the desk.

Christine: I will go clean up. You know the size shoe I wear. I will be right back.

She slowly walks with her head down to the bathroom to clean up alittle.

I go and get the bowling shoes while Christine comes out of the restroom as she comes by me as i give her the shoes she wearing then i grab her free hand with my free hand then we start walking while i start to speak.

Matt Ward Sometimes talking about things does make things less painfull.

Christine looks at me while she starts to speak

Christine: A little. Being 16 and getting pregnant... not something you really want to go thru. Wasn't something I was prepared for.

We get to the lane and sit down and put our shoes on and they find some balls.

Christine: Who's first?

I look at Christine while i start to speak

Matt Ward Your up first sweetie.

Christine looks at me while i starts to speak.

Matt Ward i know you weren't ready for it, but you had help to get you ready tho.

Christine looks at me while she starts to speak.

She gets ready to take a shot while she talked with Matt.

Christine: Sweetie? Now there is something I hadn't heard in a while.

Matt smiles as she sets up her shot after he types the names in for the score. She walks up and throws the ball as it hits the gutter.

Christine: Told ya... I suck.

She waits for the ball to return and sets up her second shot. This time she hits 3 pins.

I look at Christine while i go up to bowl as i hit a strike before i start to speak.

Matt Ward Maybe you just need some help this time.

Christine goes to grab her ball as she goes to bowl while i come up behind her helping her with her form as she bowls a strike then i start to speak.

Matt Ward See what i tell ya.

Christine looks at me then she starts to speak.
