(Centurion had plans today.

Centurion was going to grab a nice lunch, and do some cardio. He was then going to finish off his Peter Gilmour research. He was going to call Nellie and check in with her. He was going to do quite a bit of his normal routine today.

But he can't. Because now he's glued to the TV.

Flashbacks of 2003 roll in his mind - when the United States were amped up for war with Iraq. He was a staunch Republican back then. He supported the war, the president, and everyone involved. He believed it was necessary to remove Saddam Hussein from power. He believed an invasion of Iraq would make the US safer, and would help bring peace to a chaotic part of the world. Centurion flew that war flag high, because he believed it was what was best for everyone.

Now? Now he's just so damn tired. He has seen the results of war - the men and women coming home to a world they don't understand anymore. Now he knows the devastating effects of PTSD. Not only that, but he's traveled the world, and he has seen beautiful cities reduced to rubble and ash in the wake of war. War doesn't help everyone - it helps no one.

One click of the remote sends the TV to another news station, where the journalists are discussing the current wildfires in Australia. The world is quite literally on fire - Australia, the Amazon, so much devastation as a result of climate change. How nieve Centurion was so many years ago - to think the world's problems could be solved with a wave of a hand. That everything would be alright, if we just threw a little more money at the problem.

Centurion reaches over next to him a grabs a highball glass filled with Scotch. A lovely beverage to have at 10 AM. He takes a swig, continuing to watch the horrible news unfold in front of him.

Finally, after a few minutes of watching the death and destruction of the world, he turns the channel again, this time to an episode of Ridiculousness. The serious sounds of the voices reporting on the issues of the world is replaced by the mind splitting sound cancer that is Chanel West Coast's laughter. And just like that, Centurion does what every other American is currently doing - distracting himself from the madness.

Except this time, he can't distract himself. The thoughts of the destruction and devastation stay with him. Those thoughts slowly turn into thoughts of his past misdeeds. He sees Nellie storming away from him. He sees his argument with Allison. He sees his betrayal of Jocelyn.

Centurion grabs his head as the sound in the room begins to fade and become replaced by white noise. Centurion's eyes grow wide as he looks at the TV - he sees people talking, but he can not hear them.

Centurion stumbles from his chair, knocking the chair over and spilling some of his drink in the process. He sees another memory - he sees Nikita, the woman he loved, and Isabelle, the woman he used to mess it all up.

The noise and the images cause Centurion to let out a loud grunt before he takes his highball glass and throws it against the wall. The glass shatters, and the remainder of the Scotch splashes against the wall, with the shards of broken glass hitting the floor. Centurion looks at the wall, shocked at what he just did.)

Athena: Mrow!

(Centurion slightly jumps as he looks down behind him at his cat Athena. The sound is gone and the images are gone. Centurion glances back at the TV to hear the audience in the show laughing. Centurion sighs as he walks over to his cot, with Athena following behind. Centurion plops down on the cot, and Athena jumps up, sitting on the edge of Centurion's sleeping arrangement while looking at him.)

Centurion: I'm not ok.

------Summer Days, Lost My Mind------

I've done a lot of Peter Gilmour research over the past week.

It's something I do from time to time. I'll watch promos or shows from old XWF shows, especially ones I wasn't here for. There was a long stretch of time, during the Shane Era, where Gilly was seen as an "elder statesman". He was given a certain level of respect, especially by the owner of the company. I mean, hell, the dude won the Universal Title in that time period. He was clearly seen as a top guy.

So I watched a lot of Peter Gilmour, and let me tell you...I immediately regret my decision. The idiotic, mindlessly ramblings of Gilmour haven't changed throughout the years. In fact, I would argue they were even worse when he was seen as kind of a "legend". After watching all these promos and contemplating blowing my own head off, I only have one question for the Gilmeister.

Why are you obsessed with me?

Now, before anyone accuses me of being conceited - again - allow me to explain. Sometime post 2012, Shane purged the XWF of it's legends. He wanted them erased from the history archives forever. He wanted to take the assets of what he purchased and turn it into his own shit smelling fuckfest, and he didn't want any of the old folks - the folks who knew better - around. It wasn't just a new era - for better or for worse, it was a brand new federation.

Of course, he kept some of the jobbers of yesteryear around - your Gilmour's, your Chasm's, and what have you. This was an effort to "build them" as new stars, or at the very least, have some people with some name recognition to be fed to 's handpicked superstars.

Why do I bring this up? Remember, so much as saying the names of former wrestlers was considered taboo back then, and Shane was really high on Gilmartin...so it was odd when he said this in 2013:

Good riddance! Have fun at the old folks home getting your dong sucked by the old ladies with dentures. Have fun with Nick Ryan and Centurion too while you're at it.  In the immortal words of Shao Khan, beating you was AWWW.... TOO EASY!!

It's strange how, in an era where the very talk of past wrestlers could get you banned for life, Gilberg decides to name from me...and Nick Ryan, of all fucking people. But, you know, he was facing Chasm, someone I had history with, and maybe I was just on his mind that day. It happens - I'm pretty memorable. Besides, one comment doesn't mean anything, right? All kinds of weird wrestlers from the past have been named dropped. Remember Gravy? That guy was a hoot.

So, one mention doesn't mean anything. The second shout out, though? It gets a little weird. Have a listen for yourself.

You say we're not in a Centurions cartoon. Heh, funny. I used to wrestle a man named CENTURION in another shit fed worse than the XWF. I think it was the SvO, I don't recall. My memory isn't what it used to be thanks to all those chair shots to the head. But I'm still smarter than the entire roster.

What an odd aside. The person he is talking to, Jack Cain, never once mentioned me. In fact, he likely had no idea who I even was. He was clearly referencing some other Centurion, and Gills took that as an opportunity to bring me up again.

That "shit fed" he's referring to was the WGWF, the place he got tossed from because he's a total dickhead. This was still during the time when the letters "W""G" and "F" weren't allowed to be spoken on air. Either that, or Gillibrand was completely off his rocker. I don't know if the SvO was a thing or not, but I certainly wasn't a part of it if it was.

Also, "smarter than the entire roster"? Either the roster was dumb as shit in 2017, or Gilburger is talking out his ass again. How did anyone let this go on for so long? How was he not mercilessly mocked into oblivion at this point?

Still, two mentions? Ok, that can happen to any legend. Hell, Chris Chaos rants about James Raven twice a week. Nothing new there. But a pattern has started to emerge. These aren't "random", as you'll see by this final clip:

Quote:Peter Gilmour, 8-26-2017
Heh, another old fossil who wants to talk shit. Why don't we dig up Hunter Ryan, BIG SHANK and Centurion. Been a while since we've seen those old farts. But it won't matter if they came back to the XWF. I already own them and I'm much better looking than them. But I digress.

Are you catching the pattern yet? Do you understand what's going on? Gillicent was using me as an accomplishment! He was boasting to all the new fans and wrestlers about how he fought in the old times, and lived to tell the tale. He talked so much shit about me because, hey, it's not like I'm ACTUALLY going to come out of retirement and hear all this.

...surprise!

Therein lies the biggest problem Gildago is going to have moving forward. He was a fun sideshow that was here in the old days, and therefore he got a ton of respect from people who didn't know any better. But the moment I walked in that door? Well, now there's someone here to tell everyone what a fucking loser he really is.

Like, those 14 Xtreme Titles that he boasts about? The ones that make him the "Xtreme Icon"? Ask him how many of them he won in actual matches, and how many he won is random backstage attacks with the champions back turned. Ask him what the combined total of his reigns was.

Back in the Jon Brown era, Gilmour was that era's Kid Kool. He won a bunch of useless titles and was unable to hold on to them because he would lose every damn match he entered. He would pad his stats with useless shit so when new kids signed up to join the XWF, he could say he's a multi time champion, and they'd blindly follow him, thinking he's hot shit. That explains how he was able to get Michael McBride to go down on him. It explains why that Nazi whore Madison has the hots for him.

Unfortunately, GillFill is going to run into a rough stretch of matches, as he faces me before facing Chris Page, Robert Main, and the other guy on Saturday. And while he's all by himself in his match against me, he will be teaming with two people who will stab him in the back and throw him to the wolves if it means they get out alive on Saturday.

And this dumb fuck would still go crawling back to if that happened, because having shitty friends is better than having no friends at all.

Don't worry, Robert. I'll make sure there's enough of Gilmour left to make sure he makes it to the ring on Saturday. Can't vouch for what condition he will be in, though.

They dug me up, Gilbert. The old fossil is back in the ring. Now, let's see if you can actually "own me".
