“Mr. Gorbachev, Tear Down This Wall!”

27 years ago next month those words were said by President Ronald Regan. The Berlin Wall, which divided an entire city and an entire culture. The Wall served to prevent the massive emigration and defectionthat had marked East Germany and the communist Eastern Bloc during the post-World War II period. The wall was a punishment of sorts. Germany had been the aggressor in both WWI and WWII and this was a precaution put in place to make sure it never happened again.

But people are chaotic creatures. They don’t want to be held down, they don’t want to be told what to do, they don’t want to be told NO. People will rebel against any of these, it is pure human nature. Chris Chaos has been told no constantly, and he has ALWAYS rebelled.

Before the Wall's erection, 3.5 million East Germans circumvented Eastern Bloc emigration restrictions and defected from the GDR, many by crossing over the border from East Berlin into West Berlin; from which they could then travel to West Germany and other Western European countries. Between 1961 and 1989, the Wall prevented almost all such emigration. During this period, around 5,000 people attempted to escape over the Wall, with an estimated death toll ranging from 136 to more than 200 in and around Berlin. Chaotic, to say the least. One side of the wall was essentially “free” and one side was part of the “Soviet Union”---so the Russians came in and set up shop. They took over.

–-Chris grinned, breathing a breath that could be seen in the chilly German air.

Chris had done the same. He had come in and put up a wall—a dividing line—with the top tier superstars on one side and jobbers on the other. But Chris had a choice, unlike those people, to travel between the two. If he wanted to kick a nobodies head off, he would. If he wanted to beat the top guys in this business…..

….He would.

Following World War II, Soviet leader Joseph Stalin headed a union of nations on his Western border, the Eastern Bloc, that then included Poland, Hungary and Czechoslovakia, which he wished to maintain alongside a weakened Soviet-controlled Germany. As early as 1945, Stalin revealed to German communist leaders that he expected to slowly undermine the British position within the British occupation zone, that the United States would withdraw within a year or two, and that nothing would then stand in the way of a united communist Germany within the bloc.

---Chris smiled again, his breath still visible. He was Stalin. He has come in and made this company—this country that was minding its own business and wallowing in their own mediocrity for years---and set up shop. This was now his company. He was a wild card holder and he WOULD become the supreme ruler once he took the Universal Title off the “king”. Standing here, on a location where the wall once stood (obviously a small portion of it), and he felt so alive. He felt like this was the most chaotic of all the places Warfare has been. Nothing like that boring ass Norway he beat Doc in.

Many people would question if this was the right way to be. Many people thought that perhaps the Soviet’s were the evil ones, and were doing something just as bad as what the German’s were accused of. Chris was a lot like Stalin. He was keeping those on the other side of his “wall” at bay. He was keeping them on a short leash. The major task of the ruling communist party in the Soviet zone was to channel Soviet orders down to both the administrative apparatus and the other bloc parties, which in turn would be presented as internal measures. Property and industry was nationalized in the East German zone. If statements or decisions deviated from the described line, reprimands and (for persons outside public attention) punishment would ensue, such as imprisonment, torture and even death.

Indoctrination of Marxism-Leninism became a compulsory part of school curricula, sending professors and students fleeing to the West. The East Germans created an elaborate political police apparatus that kept the population under close surveillance, including Soviet SMERSH secret police.

---So far this was dead on. It was like the story was set. He did torture those in the ring. Those who tried to “rebel” and stand up to him in the ring. Those who tried to stand up to the way life was. He killed off careers in that ring. The careers of those who stepped into it with hopes and dreams of a life different than what was reality. Jayden Thunder was no different. He was just another one of those who wanted to have a better life and didn’t want to play by Chris’s rules. Chris would squash that soon. He was keeping an eye on everyone in the dark match division and if they got out of line he would handle his business the only way he knew how to….with ruthless aggression. He did it with Doc. He did it with everyone before. Look at Benito Angelo. He tried to stand up to the Chaos Theory and he is out of action for a month. Chris was going to take Jayden Thunder to school on Wednesday Night and teach him a few things---obedience being one of them.

–-Chris didn’t care who he was, his “TV SHOW” or what he accomplishments were here. He was a doormat, and he would be walked over like one. Chris wasn’t playing around. With a dream match coming up next week vs. Brett Hart, he knew he had to focus on handling business now and not look too far ahead. He didn’t want to get pulled into who Jayden was, just that he was a victim and another one on the list of those who tried to question Chaos Theory. He was just another punk that was going to have to learn the hard way.

---Chris took a step in one direction, and he was in the old West Germany. Then a step back and he was in the old East. This was his territory. Regardless of East or West it didn’t matter, this was now HIS turf. Like a dig marking his territory with urine, he was going to mark it with blood. He was going to spill it in droves at Warfare.

“Jayden Jayden Jayden”

Chris was now walking down the line where the old wall once stood.

“You have no idea what you are stepping into. You are getting into the ring with a bad, bad man. Now you have to learn the hard way. Sure, IF you do decide to respond you will probably try to out wit me with “well, the wall did fall and eventually order overtook chaos”, because here is what you do not understand…….chaos is everywhere. I am not ONE entity. I am several. I am the chaos that was the wall and I am the chaos that tore it down. I am the one who creates chaotic situations and thrives in environments when most people can’t. The more dangerous the better. The more reckless, the better. I love to draw blood but I also like to bleed. I want you to challenge me, even though I know that you can’t. You can’t compete on my level and basically by being put in this match someone is throwing you to the wolves. Someone wants you out of this company. I am a glorified hit man. I have no qualms with that.”

His work boots crunched on the leafy concrete below him. Germany was much different than he pictured in his head. Germany was actually somewhat nice.

“I get to go into the Mercedes Benz arena and whoop another mans ass from pillar to post. I get to go in and spill someone’s blood. It must be my birthday. It must be Christmas. It must be some sort of holiday. I have already put this entire roster on notice—this win does me no good. The only thing a W gives me here is one more W in the column and brings me one step closer to that Elimination Chamber for the Universal Title. This win does nothing for me other than expand my resume of dominance here. In fact I am putting a goal out. I am making a bet against myself. I bet that I can beat you in less than 1 minute. I will give you 30-45 seconds because I am a nice guy but realistically it will probably be less than that. So go ahead, show up. Come to Germany. I will even pay for your plane ticket. You will come to Germany, MY GERMANY, and you will step over that wall into my territory. I will kick your head off your shoulders and send you packing to the nearest German medical facility……..

…….Prove me wrong.

Jayden Thunder this beating should be honorable for you. You should open your eyes that until today you were a nothing, a nobody, a joke…..and after tomorrow night’s event you will be…...Equalized.

Bet on it.”
