Mastermind has just finished getting changed after his Triple Threat Match between Ghost Tank and Hero Xtreme 7.9. He grabs his bag, and heads for the door. As he opens it, he hears a very familiar voice behind him.

Hello, my friend.

Mastermind gulps and turns around. On a bench directly across from where he changed, sits Doctor Louis D'Ville. Mastermind closes the door and walks back to the middle of the room.

"Hey Doc."

I see you're the same old you.

"I feel much better thanks Doc, thank you for helping by the way."

No thanks is necessary, Mister Mastermind. Favors are kind of 'my thing', remember?

"Well I appreciated it all the same Doc."

You know, after our little situation a week or so ago, I figured I'd be hearing from you eventually. I shouldn't have to track you down, my friend. That's not how this works. Now the question still lingers if you're even still loyal to the Higher Power.

"I am Doc, I am, but I wasn't even sure you wanted me back."

I accept all who pledge their loyalty, my friend. You continue to be consistent in your ways around here. You look tough in the ring and play the part. If you wish to stay, we have much to discuss in regards to your match next week and the contract signing I have with Mister Loverboy.

The Doc reached out and touched Mastermind's shoulder, Mastermind looked at it.

"I'll be there next Wednesday to support you in your contract signing."

Doc smiles.

"I just need to get back to NZ to do something, but then I'll join you in preparations for next week."

I'm looking forward to our next meeting.

Mastermind smiles and exchanges nods with the Doc. The Doc smiles, and then opens the door, and walks away. Mastermind leaves the room after a couple of minutes.

Mastermind makes his way out of customs, and sees Maria waiting for him. He smiles and walks up to her.

"Hey baby. You didn't have to come meet me, you could have waited at home."

MARIA: "I missed you. I wanted to see you. Plus I have some news for you."

They headed to the baggage claim section of the airport.

"What news have you got for me, there's nothing wrong with the baby is there?"

MARIA: "No, no, the baby's fine. It's just that my Mum and Dad, and your Dad, and his wife would like for us all to get together and discuss us."

Mastermind stops dead in his tracks. Maria stops after walking a few feet, and turns around and smiles at him.

"By discussing us they mean?????????????"

MARIA: "Our wedding.... They are all old fashioned baby, they don't believe we should be engaged still by the time the baby comes. They want us to get married."

"What do you want?"

Maria walked back up to Mastermind and grabbed his hand.

MARIA: "I believe in their beliefs Babe. I want us to get married before we have our baby."

Mastermind sighs.

"If you want that, then so be it. I'm all for making you happy. I have a question."

MARIA: "Fire away."

"Who told my Dad about you being pregnant?"

MARIA: "Hello, it was all over the XWF promos this week, and you know how your Dad is an avid fan of yours. He just called me to clarify. He then called my parents to congratulate them, and one thing led to another and they then asked for a family get together."

"Why the hell did he not call me to clarify. His own son. I know we still have a strained relationship, but it's about mending fences."

MARIA: "He did try, but you were too busy talking to Sir Peter Jackson, and Sir Richard Taylor, and he couldn't interrupt. By the way that would have been cool talking to them."

Mastermind smiles, and they continued walking.

"It was.... He just needs to keep persisting, my father does."

MARIA: "He needs to hear that from you."

"Okay let's get this Family Get Together happening for Friday night, I need to get back to the Asylum compound by the weekend.

MARIA: "Oh goody, the Asylum."

"Now, now, don't be like that."

Mastermind led Maria to the Baggage Claim to collect his things, and then they headed home.

Mastermind walked into his bedroom, and placed his baggage on the bed. He looked at the end of the room towards his closet. He looked back at the door to see if Maria was coming, which she wasn't. She was too busy organizing the family get together for the next night.

He walked to the back of the room, to the closet and opened it, and turned on the light. He had a shocked look on his face when he saw the box with the mirror in it was not there. He couldn't remember if he had returned it there after he recovered. He grabbed his cell phone, and sent a text.

A few minutes later his personal assistant Julian Andrews walked into the room.

JULIAN: "You called sir?"

"The box with the mirror, where is it?"

JULIAN: "Didn't you put it back in the closet?"

"I can't remember if I did or not, but it's not here."

JULIAN: "Give me a couple of minutes."

Julian grabbed his phone and walked out of the room.


Two minutes later Julian walked back in looking worried. Mastermind had closed his closet, and was sitting on the bed.

"What's wrong? What is it?"

JULIAN: "The Doc and his buddies took off with it. They sneakily took it away when Maria was attending to you. I confirmed that, from the video surveillance."

"The sneaky bastard. He didn't even tell me when we talked after Wednesday Night Warfare. I wonder what he's up to. Thanks Julian you can go."

JULIAN: "Yes sir."

THURSDAY NIGHT

Mastermind was in his gym, getting some training in before the Family get together which was to start very soon. He was working over a punching bag, when next minute he heard:

JACK: "You are working pretty hard son I see."

Mastermind stops and turns around. He looks at his father Jack, and gives him a semi smile.

"Hey Father."

JACK: "I just wanted to see you before everyone got here. Maria said you were in here."

"Well I've got a big match next Wednesday, a contenders match for the Hart Championship, the winner gets a shot at the Hart Title at the next Pay Per View."

JACK: "Yes I know son, you don't need to tell me, I follow all that don't forget. You're taking on L H Harrison."

Mastermind started taking off his gloves.

"No, I haven't forgotten Father."

JACK: "It sounds like you have another issue with me?"

"Gee what gave that away?"

JACK: "Do you want me to leave right now? Just say the word and I'm gone."

Mastermind sighs and takes off his other glove. He looks back at his father.

"No Dad I don't want you to go, I'm just angry because you tend to ring Maria all of the time, instead of me, your own son."

JACK: "You do know that you are busy whilst on the road, I just can't call you. I've tried a few times and never gotten through."

"When have you tried Father? Tell me that? When?"

Jack held up his hands.

JACK: "I'm not here to fight. I'm here to celebrate Maria being pregnant. I'm here to support my son for all the wedding talk. But if you're not happy, I can leave."

"Enough with the wanting to leave speech Dad, yes I got it. You are unhappy at the way I treat you, and rightfully so. Anyone would be the same. I need to get my anger, sorted I am sorry. But this won't stop over night. But I'll do with it. Is Susan here?"

JACK: "I made the decision to bring her, yes. She wanted to stay home."

"What about Mac did you bring him too?"

"No but he was chomping at the bit to be here. We said not this time."

Mastermind felt bad for his step nephew.

"Maybe next time you can bring him."

JACK: "That would be nice. You better get changed, everyone has turned up."

"Okay, then, I'll see you inside."

JACK: "By the way nice Gym that you have here. Real big and fitted out. I've always wanted to see this place."

"Well here you are. I'll see you in the house soon Dad,"

JACK: "Okay."

Jack turned and left, and Mastermind headed for the showers.
