Was he in over his head? He had gotten a copy of each of the upcoming cards. On one, he faced off against Joey Hawkins. On the other, on which his name was not spelled correctly it was a triple threat against Oxley Ryback and Mastermind. He sat there, in his hotel room with Shelly, and he looked over both cards. The silence was deafening as he gathered his thoughts. Shelly just leaned back and watched some show on Lifetime called "He Was My Neighbor". He shook his head, eyes darting between both cards. He laid down the card for Warfare and focused his attention on the one for Madness.

"I suppose my services are more valuable than I had anticipated."

Shelly shrugged.

"You don't remember calling J eff Fairfield and requesting a match? I remember it quite clearly."

He shook his head, hair swaying back and forth.

"Nope. Don't recall it. I mean, I have to be there for Madness and then fly straight to Liverpool for Warfare? That's crazy. But then again, so am I."

On a night stand beside the bed, there sat a cup. In said cup was coffee. Two sugars, three creams. Shelly reached over and grabbed the coffee, then sipped it.

"Well, you did call him. I think it was one of your episodes where that evil guy was un control. Said something about wanting competition to destroy or some junk."

Tick tock. Tick tock. Darkwynd just stared off into space with a vacant look. He gave Shelly a second look, sipping on a water.

"Really?"

"Yes. Really."

"And he gave me Joey Hawkins?"

Yes. That Joey Hawkins. Not Joey from Friends. Not Joey Lawrence. Joey Hawkins. He had awakened one night and looked up Jeff Fairfield's number online. Of course, "The Red" was in control. The Red was a mysterious voice that inhabited the mind of Darkwynd, along with "Jimmy" and "The Red" was far from a good guy. Darkwynd sighed.

"I'm not scared, you know."

"Of who? Joey Hawkins? I doubt anyone is, James."

He shook his head, and sipped his Deer Park.

"Noone is. You know what? There's someone worse than Free Win Flynn out there, and his name is Jackass Joey Hawkins. Who has this guy beaten?"

"Umm...who have you beaten?"

"Noone yet."

It's true. He didn't have a stellar record. Well, zero and one, but he had not been pinned. He knew that people would most assuredly bring that up. They always do. They always looked back at the past and never what they had in the future. That wasn't Darkwynd. No. He looked toward the future, and he KNEW that future would be bright. He wasn't as polished as his murderous creator. But he was determined. He had the fire.

"Then maybe you should change that. You want to be successful, right? You want them to chant your name?"

"Not necessarily. I just want ro be good at this like my father. Err...without having to murder people."

"Who IS your father?"

We all knew the answer to that question. It had been made obvious but wasn't so obvious to a blonde like Shelly. Long ago, genes were collected from the notorious Cain. In turn, those genes were mixed with a holy person's. For twenty three years, he grew. He was taught by the best teachers of the Vatican. His OWN wasn't in question here though. He simply looked at Shelly, and deciding to let her stew, answered simply.

"Noone important."

She whined.

"Awwww, come on!"

He rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"I don't want to talk about him. Please Michelle, I just want to enjoy my time before I head to Madness."

"But you're up against Joey Hawkins. Are you worried?"

"Worried? No. Professional, yes. I just want to be in the top condition when I face off against him. If I win, I want there to be no question. I don't want it to be a bunch of rest holds like a Randy Orton match. I want the fans to be completely entertained. Five star match. Hands down."

Suddenly, Joey Hawkins' promo is played.

Summary: "My name Joey Hawkins. Me call Darkwynd names. Me think he spelt name funny. Him must be goth kid. Derp. Him beat me get respect. Derp.

Darkwynd sat there quietly for a moment. Hold on. He's thinking. Hmm.

"So let me get this straight. Joey Hawkins set the bar for respect? By the way, that picture looks just like him."

"Ummm...no...that's Derpy Hooves."

"Oh so you see it too?! I'm rubbing off on you! Yay!"

Darkwynd hugged Avery uncomfortable Shelly, her eyes buldhing.

"Yeah...guess... (coughs) so. But you need to take him seriously, James. I think he's got a little experience here. You don't. You need to watch his matches."

"Oh, if I ever have insomnia then I will."

Shelly gasped.

"That was mean!"

-Indeed-
