The police station is massive, the capacity of the building was passed 150 people ago and now is just over flowing with more people than problems. Along one side of the entrance there is a wall covered in "Have you seen this Man/Woman/Child?" type of posters some of the last seen dates going all the way back to 1987.
But Vellore is currently only 5 in the year 1992. Along the other side of the entrance is a wall full of either escaped convicts or wanted criminals bounty posters. They all leave a name, have a picture of the criminal and a bounty placed at the bottom for anyone who has information or can help bring the person in.
The most noticeable bounty poster is a man named Mauricio Sousa, his picture shows a strong man who has only just turned eighteen years old. His description follows as "Abordagem muito perigosa com cautela, Líder da gangue pária. Procurado por 15 + sequestros & assassinato do pai e da mãe" The brown belt that had brought the child to a hospital for his head wounds now stands reading this poster he is able to translate the poster.
"
Very Dangerous... approach with caution. Leader of the "outcast" gang.... Wanted for 15+ kidnappings & murder of his own mother and father.... This is one sick human being."
Finally his number is called and the man is able to walk up to the desk to present his problem, typically not the way this happens but with such an oddly crowded day it is the only way the police see themselves able to keep order. The brown belt in jiu-jitsu shows the child and tells him to tell her what it was he had been saying... The brown belt's Portuguese still was not the best only able to read it not speak or understand someone speaking it.
The small child begins to cry while talking to the female police officer who looks very startled after the story and rushes to find her superior officer. The lady comes running back with a tough looking Brazilian who has probably seen more in his life than anyone else in the entire station. The hardened officer looks over at the child and the man accompanying him before he approaches them any closer. He looks down to his younger female officer and speaks
"
Se isso não é importante você está demitido." The tone of his voice makes the brown belt cringe and know that the officer isn't in a good mood. "
Você fala o menino branco português? ........ Let me try again, how about English can you understand me now?" The police man is obviously in no way shape or form enjoying speaking to an American.
"
Oh yes i'm sorry I am still trying to fully understand the Portuguese lang-" He is cut off in the middle of his sentence.
"
Yeah whatever, so is it this boy who brings you here today?" It almost seems as if the officer doesn't even really care about their problem.
"
Yes officer he has been crying like this for a few days now. All I could understand was "Mae" he kept saying something like "eles levaram minha mae". But i'm still only learning Portuguese so I don't-" The man is cut off and the police officer's eyes open up wide. He looks over at the boy who is all bruised up from the impact with the speeding car.
"
"THEY TOOK MY MOTHER!?!?" And you are just now bringing him here?!" The police officer is infuriated, his eyebrows like big bushy check marks hanging over his angry green eyes. He is very intent on striking the man that has the child, and if they pair were not in a police station he would more than likely do just that. But he would more than likely get taken down and submitted due to the immense amount of knowledge from the Brown Belts jiu-jitsu game. "
What is your name?!" A final question before the angry eye browns and red face of the police officer disappear into concern for the young boy.
"
Derek Shrout!" He seems very confident when saying his name, even shouting a little catching the officer off guard. The officer jumps somewhat at the yelling and shakes his head as he is filling out a police report.
The officer quickly signs the bottom and hands the paperwork off to some officer in training who is using a computer. The officer in training looks exausted already but the elder officer just smiles and continues walking
"
How about you go make the kid stop crying i'm going to assemble a search team and start the look. We have 48 hours before we can no linger look and must assune the worst." The burly officer walks off, down the hall and takes a right into another hall way finally out of the sight of Derek and Vellore.
Derek, the brown belted jiu-jitsu player, looks down consoling the young Vellore.
"
Don't be scared, they are going to find your mother! She is going to be alright! I promise you!" Derek begins to tear up thinking of his own childhood and how he wish his mother was kidnapped for what she had done to him. But he knew not wasn't the time to be selfish he was attempting to give all he had to show the kid how to be tough.
He gives Vellore a quick hug and stands right back up ensuring Vellore that the officers would find his mother.
"
S-s-scared?" The boy questions the word, he has heard English before but he was unable to understand it. But the word brings light to Derek's eyes making him think he will be able to comunicate with the child. Derek has a slight smile across his face as he begins to talk to the young boy.
"
Yes, are you scared? Don't worry I'm here for you little buddy. If the police don't find your mom then I will!" Again with such confidence in his words he could sway anyone to believe what he said. If only the young boy could fully understand English then the team would be perfect!
Vellore and Derek decide that they have spent enough time sitting around and they walk towards the exit ready to go on the hunt for Vellore's mother.

Cold Trail
Ssssssss...
The sound of an incoming message on the police officer's radio crackles in before the paniced voice of the computer opperator sounds clear. The squeal makes the officer rush back to the car, ready for action after hearing of the 16th kidnapping this month.
"
Officer Eduardo, please respond.... Multiple calls on suspicious activity over at the abandon wear house off of Rodao and Castelo Branco...." The radio cuts off with the hissing sound again.
"
What did I tell you about the English? No I don't even want to hear it. Você é um fracasso para todos nós [/color]" The disapointment in the officer Eduardo's voice cant be felt a mile away and makes the computer opperator feel awful about himself, which seems to be a casual occurance working under Eduardo. Who then turns off the radio to the opperator and begins to make his way to the abandon warehouse.
On the way to the warehouse officer Eduardo witnesses many illegal driving actions but forces himself to stray away from them in order to find the man he assumes to be behind all of the kidnappings, the man who's bounty for having him alive is over $10,000,000, Mauricio Sousa. This is more than enough money to have anyone in the country looking for him.
Unfortunatly for the money hungry bounty hunters the elusiveness of the criminal has been unmatched. There have been man rumors of men that have had the 18 year old Souza handcuffed to metal bars cemented to the ground and yet the criminal always seems to have escaped. The mind of the young man is corrupt and with the ability he has it seems impossible for him to be captured by anyone, let alone police officers who chase with the sirens blaring. For this exact reason officer Eduardo left the sirens off, not only that he took the undercover car to not alert anyone in any way giving Souza the time to escape yet again.
Pulling up to the warehouse Eduardo first notices multiple skid marks indicating cars leaving the scene. He quickly parked his vehicle out of the way of the evidence and made he way inside of the building. Upon entering the stench of death found its way into his nose and instantly had the hardened officer gaging.
He knew there was a body and another person to add to the death count of Souza's record. The maniac already killed his parents and now somewhere inside of the building lay another soulless, lifeless body. The vetran officer drew his pistol instinctively and continued through the warehouse moving towards the basement door, being the last area for the officer to search.
The door creeks open slowly with the pistol of Eduardo pointed down the stairs. The darkness causes the officer to click the flashlight attachment of his pistol on and he continues down the stairs finding the body of a man dressing in gang like clothing. The man has been mutilated from punches and kicks, obviously from the look of his bruised and swollen face and tattered clothing. The officer reaches for his phone, dialing 9-1-1.
"
Este é oficial eduardo pedindo de volta!!!!"
