I had to tell the Master of the city that another dead vampire was found. Normally if it was a hunter there would be a good reason. You see, everyone knew vampires were real as well as werewolves and other things that went bump in the night. So the US States of America passed a law saying vampires were "alive". Which meant just like if a human killed another human, It would be murder, So say if a vampire killed a human, It would be murder and when that happened, The U.S. Marshals came out and hunted down the vampire, But like with any other type of murder, You had to have a warrant to kill the vampire, which meant you had to have evidence but the dead vampire I found wasn't done in by US Marshals. They always made sure the body was burnt. Some vampires were powerful enough to deal with crosses or holy water. The body I found was ripped apart. If you didn't have I years of experience like I did, You'd think it was a werewolf, But the body didn't have teeth marks. No, It was just ripped up. So that meant another vampire. This was the sixth vampire killing and four of them were The Master Of The City's people. That wasn't good. It could mean a lot of things. One being that some other Master vampire was moving in on the territory, It would end in bloodshed if that was the case.
I sighed deeply as I made my way to my master's home. It was a giant plantation. The Master Of The City was a Southern Bell, Well that's what she wanted you to believe. Really she was French, She was older then a thousand years old. She was the master of the city for a reason. I walked into the large house and was met by a butler. He bowed to me.
Butler
"Mister Kane, Please come with me. The Master has been waiting for you."
I followed him, We walked down a long hall before we came to a door. He opened it and showed me inside. We were in the library. It had books beyond books. I was sure the master had read them all. She was sitting at a desk that stood in the middle of the room. She was beautiful, Long raven black hair, pale white skin, ruby red lips. She was reading a book but had shut it as I walked in. Her name was Nicolette and she ran the City of New Orleans.
Nicolette
"So, I hear there was another one of my vampires were killed. Is this true Vincent?"
She may have been beautiful but she was scary when she needed to be and right now. She wasn't happy. Not good.
Vincent Kane
"Yes, It is. I found the body tonight. How did you know about it already?"
Nicolette
"I'm the Master of the city, I know everything. What did you find at the scene?"
Vincent Kane
"The body was torn up, but it was a werewolf. It was another vampire. It had to be. no human could do that. They use guns or stakes."
Nicolette.
"Do you think someone is moving in on my city?"
Vincent Kane
"I'm not sure yet, but I was thinking we could use some outside help."
She looked at him and raised an eyebrow.
Nicolette
"What do you mean outside help?"
Vincent Kane
"Another vampire.Miss Callaway."
Nicolette
"Do you think she will be able to help?"
Vincent Kane
"Yes, I do. Then we can stop this from happening and move on with our lives."
She looked calmer now. Good, I didn't need her to be angry. Things happened when she was pissed off. Bad things.
Nicolette
"Very well. Go to her. That will be all."
I bowed and left. I didn't know for sure if Miss Callaway would help but I might as well give it a shot.
