Emotions play an important part in our memories. You remember the birth of your son? How happy and proud you were upon holding that child...even when you were unsure about him being yours? How proud you were of my sister when she pulled through such a painful labor? It's not remembering those emotions...that causes me to lose the important memories.

I turned and gently dropped behind the counter, throwing Damien a bottle of scotch.
