Zak doesn't have blood flow. He doesn't have a beating heart...the blood you and he feed from is a barrier from the venom. Without the blood, the venom would feed off what remains of your muscles before moving to your organs. Our natural blood remains dormant until the venom weakens itself and just becomes apart of your natural system.
I reached over, after Nova set the slides, and placed his hand against my throat. His eyes widened as he felt a very soft pulse.
It's taken me almost 6,000 years for my venom to set itself right within my body's natural system. I can't survive on anything but blood, human food is utterly disgusting and it's still just as hard to kill me as it is for any other vampire.
I smiled up at the childe vampire and placed a hand on his shoulder, You can dilute the venom by either draining the one who changed you about 10 times or going on a feeding frenzy. I'm not sure about your kind but each time you feed, your giving the venom food. Now, let's find a cure for this stigma before it kills your Demonic Prince.
I'm sure if he could blush, he would have. His eyes snapped to the floor and his body started to shake.
I heard you at the park and while I am attracted to you, short of one night...nothing will ever happen. Your heart, beating or not, will belong to him just as his belongs to you. A love like that only comes around once in your life. Regardless of how old your are and how old you will become...I know personally. Once you've had that...another never feels the same. Find your cure then see if it's still there. Don't let it slip from your grasp just yet.
My lips brushed against his cheek softly before I started working on finding a cure.
