I feel the need to point out, that the wording of that quote isn't very solid. Knowing history and understanding it are two different things. Take for example, Peter Gilmour. He acknowledges his past failure to Andrew Morrison and will do the exact same thing he did in that loss, and will no doubt feel the sting of defeat once more, no matter who it is that defeats him. In his case, knowing history will do him no good.

Not a knock on you for repeating it of course, but I felt the need to insert my own opinion.
