He bounced his head from side to side, carefully thinking of his next response, as opposed to his boyish nature of simply blurting out his awkward thoughts. When he had finally come to a careful conclusion, he interlaced his fingers amongst Alexandra's and spoke.

"It was a combination of my morality...seeing someone so pure about to be subjected to a punishment not suited for a creature of your innate being...and of course, of my own emotion.
