Nightmare is quickly making his way down the winding stair case from the tall tower in the castle that houses the demons-chamber. He is being followed close behind by the person who we have known as the apprentice but has now been revealed as former XWF superstar Chris Macbeth.

They reach the bottom of the stair case and exit into the court yard so they can get to the main gate that leads to the garden at the front of the castle and there eventual escape. Just as the step out Nightmare quickly pushes Macbeth back inside and follows him in.

”The powers.”

Nightmare points out of the window that they are ducked behind. Macbeth raises his head slowly to peer out. The three robed men are walking around the giant gargoyle fountain that stands in the centre of the courtyard.

”Shit what we going to do now?”

”The one thing we can do, go round.”

Nightmare leads Macbeth down the great hall which will take them all the way around the castle until they reach the main gate out of the courtyard. Nightmare knew this would not be an easy task, he thought back to his induction to the order of the night-demons years before and all the rooms he had to pass through with all the traps and hidden exits, this would be no different. This is the very same hallway but he knows the rooms will be different. It was the one thing he never understood, how and when did all the rooms change, he knows that when his apprentice Chris Macbeth did the same route into the castle a few months ago the rooms were different and what he had to do was different, who did change them?

”As long as the powers remain in the courtyard our escape will be successful.” He said to ease Macbeth's mind.

Macbeth nods and continues after Nightmare looking out of the windows and doorways that lead into the courtyard as he goes, trying to keep sight of the powers. The castle looks different without the mask on he thinks to himself as he keeps on after Nightmare, it looks lighter and less menacing but right now it may look less menacing but this is the most menacing time Macbeth has spent in this castle. Before now he had powers on his side, he was one of them, now though they want him gone, banished, finished for all eternity is what Nightmare had told him as the where leaving the demon-chamber earlier.

The way Nightmare was helping him made Macbeth feel that not everything was ok with his master and the powers, what had they said to him, was he in for the same treatment that he was in for.

Macbeth suddenly stops.

”WAIT!!”

Nightmare stops and turns back to Macbeth who was intently looking out to the courtyard.

”There gone. The powers are not in the courtyard anymore.”

Nightmare approaches to have a look out of the doorway himself. He cannot see them either. That means the coast is clear.

Nightmare and Macbeth run out into the courtyard and straight over to the giant doors. The doors are made of big heavy wood and there is a mechanism to the side that needs to be wound to open them up. Nightmare approaches the mechanism and begins to wind, the doors slowly begin to open.

Macbeth looks up just in time to see the cloaked powers that be dropping down from a balcony above. He dodges out of the way and crashes into Nightmare who upon impact lets go of the mechanism thus closing the door again.

Nightmare and Macbeth are backed into the giant solid door pushing themselves against it but its no use it will not budge. The three powers are slowly moving in towards them, there eyes glowing under the large hoods of there cloaks.

Nightmare now realises that his time as a night demon is over and his and his apprentice’s existence will be ending. Both men look to each other then back to the approaching powers. Suddenly like a flash Macbeth launches himself towards the powers but they simply dodge him causing him to fall to the ground behind them. The powers turn and slowly approach the grounded Macbeth.

Macbeth is staring up at the closest power the glowing eyes almost blinding him. As the power reaches down to grab at him he closes his eyes waiting for his fate to be bestowed upon him. But there was nothing.

He slowly opens his eyes to see the power still leaning above him but the glow in its eyes had faded. Macbeth looked down from the powers head to see a spear sticking out of its chest. Macbeth rolls out from under the power and see’s Nightmare stood holding the spear that he had taken from a statue that was stood near the door.

Nightmare drops the spear which is still passing through the body of the power to the ground and just stairs at hit. Macbeth who is out of breath looks around and can see the other two powers already on the ground. He approaches one of them and can see that its head was almost completely turned around the wrong way, the other had blood coming from it’s eye socket and the way its body laid limp on the ground it looked as if its back had been completely snapped in two. One thing is for sure as Macbeth approaches his master Nightmare is that the powers are dead.

Nightmare had killed them all, to save him and his apprentice.

“They were his masters, his mentors like he was mine” The Apprentice Chris Macbeth thought to himself as he stood next to Nightmare who was just looking down to the ground towards the final power, his final victim. Nightmare reached down and pulled the spear out of the powers back where he had ruthlessly inserted it previously. Blood sprayed out of the wound and onto the ground covering Nightmares hand slightly. He throws the spear to the side and just turns and walks towards the mechanism to open the giant door. Macbeth waits for a moment then follows him over. Nightmare begins to wind the mechanism causing the door to open, Macbeth just stands in silence until the door is open wide enough and he passes through it followed by Nightmare.

The two of them begin to walk along the path that wind’s through the gardens between all the stones of the night demons victims. The two do not speak but The Apprentice Chris Macbeth looks towards his master for any sign of emotion, but there was nothing the demon just walked on.

They stepped out of the gates of the castle grounds and continued to walk for a few more minutes. Macbeth stops when they are about 200 yards away from the gates and turns and looks back at the castle. “I don’t think we will be seeing this place again” Macbeth thought to himself. He turns and can see Nightmare has just continued walking away into the mist, what he doesn’t know though is that although he did not stop and turn to look or show and kind of emotion Nightmare was thinking the exact same thing.

The two of them continue walking into the mist and the darkness until they are completely out of sight and the castle has vanished behind them.
