A Look Into the Past of Adrian Storms

Adrian was born into a rich family. Nice cars, nice house, the usual for a family with a good bit of wealth. He had a sister & no brothers, though he almost had a brother when he was 6, though he tragically died in the womb. Adrian was sadden for many months, sitting silently in his room a lot, laying and thinking. He refused to ever go anywhere besides the places he had to go like school. Eventually, Adrian got over it and began being happy again, but was always a little depressed and it was at the age of 8, tragedy struck again.

The Tragic Past
Part I

A normal autumn morning, with the wind scattering the leaves all throughout the acres and acres of the land they had owned. Adrian had awoken and began look out his window as a leaf landed on the outside windowsill. He eventually got dressed and went into the kitchen, got the cereal, a bowl, and some milk. As he was pouring the milk into the bowl full of cereal, his parents walked out the room, all dressed and looked ready to go.

“Where you guys going?” Adrian asked.

“We’re just going to run up to town, get some groceries & other stuff.” his Mom replied.

“Alright, when you think you’ll be back?” he asked.

“Really, no idea hun,” his Mom replied, “Hopefully soon.”

Adrian nodded and got the wooden stool off the counter as he placed it down and sat. His mom hugged him as they walked out the door as Adrian sat and began eating. You could slowly hear the 1989 Chevrolet Corvette pull out and drive away. As they got farther and farther away, the sound began to become faint and fade out. As the pulls out, his sister walks into the kitchen as Adrian gives her the cereal & milk.

“What time is it?” she asks.

“Bout 8:00,” he answers, “Pretty early for you.”

She fixes a bowl of cereal as Adrian finishes and puts his bowl into the sink. Adrian walks back into his room as he puts on a pair of jeans, long sleeve t-shirt, and some tennis shoes & goes outside. Adrian had always loved to go outside and into the woods, making traps, cutting trees, really anything. Though, when he was 6, he was in the woods more than anything due to the depression that overcame him when his little brother had died. It was the only thing that could calm him and he could take his anger out on. Adrian had made an objective though, he was going to make a little house in honor of his brother and it was where he went to anytime anything or anyone bothered him. It took him until he turned 8 but after about year and a little more, it was finally complete. He had used the tools he had gotten from his dad’s toolbox, due to him being a carpenter/construction.

Adrian begins walking down the mile-long trail to his little cabin. He’s cleared out a pathway with again took a while. He cleared out the weeds and tall grasses while trees are carved with arrows pointing to the direction to get the cabin. After the long walk, he opens the door to the cabin and steps inside. He doesn’t have any electricity in the cabin because he wouldn’t be able to hook it up and he’s the only person that knows about the cabin. He just tells his parents he’s going out for a walk.

He pulls out a box of matches from his pocket and lights one, lighting all of the candles he has around the cabin. Once he’s done with that, he walks over to a drawer and pulls out a box of Twinkies, his favorite snack. After about 10 minutes, the box is empty. Though, he has two whole drawers completely filled with Twinkies.

Adrian walks out of the cabin. grabbing his cup and axe off of the shelf and heads to the river that’s a little farther down the trail. Once he reaches the river, he checks the traps as he’s caught a fish, a largemouth bass. He scoops up a glass of the river water and chugs it down. Once he’s finished with the mug, he scoops up another begins heading back to his cabin.

Once he reaches the cabin again, he sits the mug on a table on the outside. He grabs the axe and gets ready to hack away at the tree laying on the ground, but suddenly a siren can be heard in the distance. A police siren to be exact, Adrian immediately puts the axe back in the house and blows out the candles.

Adrian runs out the door, slamming it in the process, and sprints to the beginning of the mile long trail. Hopefully, it wasn’t at the house, he thought, though, I don’t know where they could be if they aren’t. After about 5 minutes of sprinting, Adrian reaches the end of the trail and crouches into one of the bushes. He peeks out of the bush and sure enough, there’s about 3 police cars in the driveway of the house.

Adrian begins to walk out of the trail, hopefully no one will notice. Without even taking 10 steps, a cop pulls out a pistol, pointing it directly at Adrian, not hesitating to pull the trigger at any moment. Though, he’s a good distance away and Adrian could make a run for it, though it’d be a risky move.

“Stop and put your hands up!” the cop shouted.

Adrian froze and put his hands in the air as suddenly about 4 other cops bust out of the door, 2 with more pistols and 2 others holding Adrian’s sister. Adrian immediately realized that his sisters had tears rolling down her face. Adrian had no idea what had happened or why she was crying, and the cops moved closer and closer. His sister was walked to the back seat of the cop car but they keep her there as they watched the other officers that were nearing toward Adrian.

They got point blank range away and one walked behind him while the others kept their guns directly on him the whole time. Suddenly the officer grabbed his arms and pulled them behind his back, which would begin to hurt after a while, and put handcuffs on Adrian. The officers then began to walk Adrian towards their cars as the other officers and his sister looked on.

Eventually, we reached the cars as the officers asked his sister if they knew him. She said it was her little brother as they proceeded to uncuff him. They then shoved both of them in the back of the car and took them downtown, for apparently, questioning.
