OOC: Continued from this RP: http://xwf99.com/showthread.php?tid=16306

I silently waited with batted breath as the elevator made it's way down, down, down to the research wing. I watched the lit windows sliding up past us as we continued to make our way through. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Jason spoke.

"We're here."

The elevator door opened, and out to greet us was the Research Wing. My breath caught in my throat and failed to come out, I was so awed. It was a technological wonderland. Dozens, maybe even hundreds of computers, tanks, tablets, workers, and all minds of other stuff ambushed me as soon as I took my first step in, and demanded my attention and gaze. As Jason led me and Frank down these corridors, a number of projects caught my eye. They were working on everything, from enhancers to boost your physical ability, to working on cures for cancer and AIDS.

"As I'm sure Sam let you know, this place is top secret," Jason said. "If we let this place out to the federal eye, they'll want direct involvement in our projects. And they may or may not dislike our methods."

As if on cue, I saw a man get electrocuted in a suit of armor, no doubt they're testing on an electric- proof suit. I grimaced as I passed by, and as if like clockwork, they saw me and quickly draped the curtains over the experiment room. As much as I may not have liked seeing that image, well, the ends justify the means, right? Right?

"Ah, here we are. I do believe you wanted the top- secret superstar we have here, not to mention that project. Now then, I ask that your cameraman turn off his camera. As I have just said, this stuff is top- secret."

"Sorry, but no can do," I retorted. "Frank documents anywhere and everywhere I go. When he signed that contract to become my cameraman, the contract contained a 24/7 rule. Thus, if we are in the same area, he must document where I go."

"Mister Solomon," Jason says. "I like you, I really do no matter what that promo says-" There's that damned promo being mentioned again. What did Evertrust do?- "so I'll let you off with a warning here. Just tell your cameraman to turn off that camera, and we can proceed."

"It's fine boss." Frank sighs, turning off his camera- little did Jason know, Frank always had a hidden camera on his cap in case something like this happened. So therefore, once Jason turned the other way, Frank switched the camera on.

Jason led us to a steel door, with the words, 'SECRET SUPERSTAR PROJECTS' on it. Jeez, they look like they were written in blood! We walked inside, where we came across something that resembled a fork in the road, but instead, having two splitting paths instead of three.

"This is the newest section of the Research Wing here," Jason began. "So we only have the parts you heard about- the superstar and the project."

"Fine by me. I only wanted confirmation about that superstar anyway- just killing two birds with one stone, since I'm mostly here for the project." I responded.

"Very well."

Jason, myself, and Frank walked down the dark corridor to the left. Jason opened the door, and I peered inside to find-- DERRICK SILVA! THAT GUY WHO GOT SHOT BY PROXY?! It's Derrick Silva alright. He's floating in a containment tube filled with multiple unknown fluids.

"I knew it. How'd you bring him back?"

"We've been implanting cybernetics into his body, and trying robotics to bring him back to life. When we've failed, we just clone him, and we try again. We've modeled each copy with Greek numerals. Right now, this is Model Epsilon."

"I thought this wing just opened recently? How'd you manage--"

"We may not look the part, Mister Solomon, but we can work VERY fast. We've also made huge breakthroughs on that top secret project. Come now, I'll show you what it is."

Jason led us out the door, and into the corridor where the paths split. This time, we went to the right. On this door at the end of the hallway, this door said, "TOP SECRET! DO! NOT! TOUCH!" All in that same creepy handwriting.

Giving but the slightest shiver, we all walked in. The room was as dark as the midnight sky. There was only a blood vial, put in a syringe.

"Excellent. Evertrust's blood. But jeez, what a medical room! Wow! So many 'ground- breaking advancements' here."

"Make all the jokes you want. We only prepared for you by removing all of the equipment. We don't want you to know our secrets, after all."

"Why do that, when you left the equipment for dealing with Silva out in the open?"

"Silva is in a medically induced coma, being brought back from the dead with the cybernetics. Without the medical fluids, Silva would die once more, electronics or no electronics, and then we'd be forced to clone him again."

I gave a hard stare into Jason's eyes, trying to see if he's telling the truth. After two minutes, I made up my mind.

"Seems legit. Now then, time to do what I came to do."

I walked up to the syringe, pressed it to a vein in my forearm, and pressed the syringe in.

I felt like I was receiving a rush of emotions. Anger, joy, sadness, excitement, and all kinds of other things rushed through my mind in my body. Then, all of a sudden, the feelings became replaced with pure, unadulterated PAIN.

"GUAAAAAAAAH! HNNNNNNG! IT BURNSSSSS!!!!"

Frank watched on in horror, while Jason, mock curiosity. I hunched over on all fours, trying to block the pain. It spread like poison through me, slowly, diabolically, making it's way through my bodily systems, like it was out on an attempt to kill me. The pain seemed to be travelling to two places, my heart and my brain, to climax the pain there, and leave me as a broken, shriveled up corpse.

Miraculously, as soon as the pain entered my heart and brain, my pain subsided. My eyes warily opened. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, except I felt, well, powerful. Cliche, I know, but no other words come to mind since I nearly just died.

"Interesting," Frank said. "It seems as though Evertrust's blood goes through a harmful synthesizing with the blood of the person who injects it into them, such as displayed. You are quite a good guinea pig, Mister Solomon."

"Guinea pig? GUINEA PIG? I NEARLY DIED ABSORBING THAT BLOOD, AND YOU CALL ME 'GUINEA PIG?' YOU PLANNED THIS, DIDN'T YOU?"

"Why, as a matter of fact, I did."

My eye twitched. Pure venom seeped into my very soul. I felt a small flicker of heat enter my hands. Curiosity approaching, I looked at my hands. Little fireballs sprouted up, ready to burn something. And since the anger and adrenaline was leaving my system, I noticed that it was draining my mental strength to keep it up.

Okay. My new powers seemed to sprout up when I was angry. Maybe focus on happy thoughts to cause them to recede?

I tried to focus on something happy. Beating John Samuels and Michael McBride. Knocking that smirk off of Gein, Evertrust, and Hysteria. SOMETHING!

All of a sudden, it left.

If my powers can't recede when I'm thinking of happy thoughts or feelings, perhaps angry thoughts or feelings didn't cause my powers to sprout up either? Okay, maybe think of something new. Hmmm... I was determined to hurt Jason when my powers sprouted, so maybe determination makes my powers sprout and relief causes them to recede?

I entered the dreamscape of my mind, trying to think of something to make me determined. I settled on me facing Gator for the Television Champion, a dream match for me currently out of reach. Gator had me on the ropes, and I was in trouble. All of a sudden, i was mounting a comeback. Double axe handle! Dropkick! German Suplex!

All of a sudden, the heat entered my hands again.

Okay, you caused them to sprout, now cause them to leave.

I hit the Lights Out Spinebuster on dream- Gator, and was feeling pumped up. I beckoned Gator up, and took his legs. It wasn't too long until I had the Pure Perfection locked in on him. From there, he tapped out. The sense of relief washed over me, and my powers left after a little bit. Okay, so before, the relief from finding out what caused my curiosity caused my powers to recede, and the relief from beating Dream- Gator also caused my powers to recede. Seems legit.

I almost forgot about Frank and Jason, who were just watchin me as I was starting to master my powers.

"Well done," Frank said. "You seemed to have figure out how to cause your powers to sprout and recede. Though, I'm willing to bet there's more powers you have learned now, knowing Evertrust's large arsenal of powers. Come on over to the Training Field, and you can figure out these powers."

A little warily, I said, "Okay then. Lead the way."

Frank led us out of the Superstar Projects part of the Research Wing, and led us to a large metal door, with a much smaller foamed door to it's left.

"The foamed door is the spectators room, or the room where any employees can enter the Training Room. The metal door is where any non- employees can enter the Training Room."

"Hold up. I thought Sam told me you all kept this place hush- hush. Why would any non- employees enter the Training Room?"

"We sometimes have... guests... who wish to use the Training Room. Now then. Frank, step into the spectator's room with me. Mister Solomon, I do believe you know what to do."

Before I could even speak, they were gone. I entered the Training Room's metal door, which automatically slid down to greet me. I stepped into the door, a small white corridor with a metal door beckoning me to come over. Obliging, I walked forward, before Jason's voice on a loudspeaker stopped me.

"Excuse me, Mister Solomon. Security protocol, I'm afraid you must have a sample of your blood ejected. Please hold out your arm."

Obeying for now, I held out my right arm. A small syringe appeared from the ceiling and took a small sample of blood. I followed the needle as it went up into the rafters, where a glass wall caught my eye. A small, grey creature was in there, and he seemed to be licking blood with vampire- like fangs. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to find out who's blood that is.

"Ah, forgive us, Mister Solomon. A biology project is merely right next to this room. We've been sampling different types of blood with this parasite, and decided to take a small portion of your sample and test it."

Something doesn't seem right here. But I have a feeling if I do rebel, they'll probably have some secret nuclear weapon or some shit that can take me out. Not wanting to see if my new- found powers could take a nuke head- on, I pressed forward into the Training Room.

A large, white, padded room greeted me. A large window was right behind me. When I looked at it, I saw Jason, with Frank hogtied.

"Apologies, Mister Solomon, but the fact you infused your blood with Evertrust makes you invaluable to me. Stay here now, so we can do experiments and tests of all kinds on you."

A wave of fury washed over me, and fireballs sprouted from my hands.

"Go to hell. In fact, I'll send you there myself. I mean, you must be , thinking I'll stay here and be your guinea pig."

"Ah, I was afraid you'd say that. RELEASE UN!"

What I saw next rocked my world.
