Steve was on a high. He is the Xtreme Champion for fuck sake, of course he's on a high. His beard wasn't out of control for a change, and his hair was rather tame. He was on his way back from a long walk, and as he got to the house in which he and Lacey had been staying at, he noticed Mark's car parked outside. Steve was a little confused but also excited to see his long time best friend. His blue jeans were tight against his ripped legs, and his grey jacket covered up his white Volcom T-Shirt.

Davids walked up the pathway and opened the door that was already unlocked. This was eerie to him, he had locked Lacey in on his way out earlier. As he stepped into the lounge, his jaw dropped. The two of them lay naked on top of one another on the sofa, panting. His happiness had turned to rage in the matter of seconds, Lacey climbed off of Mark and stood bare in the living room.

“It's not what it looks like,” she cried.

Mark climbed to his feet and put his boxers on.

“The two of you have ten seconds to grab your clothes, walk out of that door and never come back. I forgave you two once before, it is obvious that trust and honour are something the two of you do not stand by.” Steve spoke, boldly. They both tried to apologize but Steve grabbed Mark by the throat and pinned him up against the wall before flinging him across the room. Mark roared in pain as Lacey began to scream desperately.

“Stop, please Steve. It meant nothing,” she cried once more.

Steve kicked Mark in the head, and grabbed him by his hair. Lacey ran to the outside, crying and whaling as Steve threw Mark behind her. Lacey cradled Mark's head outside of the estate home that was out of the way from any main road. Steve picked up the side of the sofa and threw it out with them. Steve grabbed oil from the garage and covered the sofa with it before setting alight with a match. The flames roared fiercely.

The Xtreme Champion went straight back inside and sat on the one remaining chair in the lounge, cradling the Xtreme Championship in his arms as he did so. 'What would Blaine think?' That was all that ran through Steve's mind. Steve's uncle whom had died last month put his faith in those two to keep Steve sane but it was now evident that they would drive him in quite the opposite direction.

Glancing up, Steve saw a photo of him, his best friend and his former girl friend stood together on the beach, Steve grasped it and threw it at the wall. It smashed and cracked as Steve dropped down to the floor. He cradled the championship and his knees and began to weep sadly.

Steve's phone began to vibrate against the side table. He stared up at it, a withheld number.

“Hello...Hello?”

A deep, dark, intense voice responded after a few moments.

“Steve Davids, the psycho sensation. The Xtreme Champion. You have fought many battles, and escaped many wars alive. How will you do now that you're on your own though?”

Steve gasped. He looked left and right, he appeared to be alone. A gust of wind slammed the kitchen door shut, it was as if the wind appeared out of nothingness. How did this mysterious person know that Steve was now entirely alone?

“Who are you?”

“Oh but Steve. You know exactly who I am. Well at least you will. You see, the thing about you Steve is you have never been able to make sure that you got the job done. Yet again, you failed. Do you think the flames could really suffocate me? I do not bow down so easily, you should know that.”

The phone crackles for a moment.

“All men must fall Steve, you're the one who preaches that.”

“Yes, but death will not be taking me before it takes you. I will happily burn in hell if I get to drag you down to the fires with me.”

“I am sure you being burned in the flames can be arranged my son. Though, I still question whether you were really mine. My other two are so much stronger than the self proclaimed psycho sensation.”

“I am done proving my strength to you, Father. I am done proving my strength to anyone. It's just like Sebastian Duke said, the only person I need to prove my strength to is myself. I have done that. I am now a champion. What have you done Dad, you live in my shadows... stalking me. Hunting through the blackness for a prey that does not care about whether he dies. Your purpose is a mission that has no meaning. You cannot accept that because you feel defeated. This isn't about Mother any more, this is about your ego. You know I did nothing wrong during birth....”

“You ripped your Mother apart and this family whilst you were at it. That's what you did Steve. I didn't leave you in the flames for no reason you know.”

“Nor did I leave you in the flames for nothing. It is clear that there's not enough space on this Earth for the two of us is there?”

“Evidently. I do not plan on leaving any time soon.”

“Nor do I.”

Steve hung up the phone and laughed to himself. From happiness, to sadness, to a sick and twisted rage. Steve's emotions were all over the place... His eyes lit up like a burning torch and his grin was as devilish as the Joker's.
