Damien knew he would have to carry this match. Damien wasn't going to waste time playing around and spending time getting drunk at the bar like his partner had been. If Gunner didnt want to carry his half of this match, then so be it. Damien would see to it that He, Christine, and John all went down. Gunner, play your little game... in the end, you'll get punished all the same.
Damien and Alexandra sat on the hood of her black 1967 Chevy Impala, watching her kids playing in the grass at the park. No words are spoken between them for a few moments and finally, the discussion about Damiens match is started.
"Damien, I know this match wont be easy on you. I know that for a while, you cared for Christine."
"That was a long time ago Ally. Things are different now. Hell I'm different now. The man I was back then, isn't the man I am now."
"I know Damien, I'm just saying it's not going to be easy. But I trust you will do whatever you must to win."
"You know me better than anyone Ally. I dont go out there planning to lose. But either way, if my partner doesn't pull his weight, there will be bloodshed. I will see to it that he never does it again. When it comes to John and Christine, I will defeat them both, by myself from the looks of it."
"You are never fully alone out there Damien."
"Ally, please... Don't get invovled. I can't let you risk yours or the baby's safety. It's better if you stay in the back and wait for me to win this. Christine, she's not stable. She's not the friend you knew a few months ago. As for John, well, you know he's been out for your blood since you asissted Griffin in that win on Shove It.. or at least that's how he views it."
"I dont give a shit about Shove It. That's in the past, and if John can't move on from that, then he's wasting everyone's time. He needs to just accept what happened and move on. If he holds you accountable for what I did. Then when I return, and it will be rather soon. He will know that I am gunning for him."
"Ally, right now, all you need to focus on is taking care of yourself and that baby. Leave the heavy lifting to me. I've got this match, with.. or without my partner."
Damien looked out across the park. His family was important to him. They ar the reason he continued to fight when he wanted to give up. What did his opponents have to fight for? They claimed to be the darkness, team evil. But evil men need not brag, their actions speak for them. There was nothing they could do, absolutely nothing. Damien would have to drag his partners dead weight. Which is prtty sad considering he is a Layfield. Pathetic excuse for a professional wrestler. Gunner Layfield, another name to add to the list, another victim of jutice. The two of them laugh it off and head over to play with her kids. The sound of a motorcycle rumbles in the distance and they all turn to see someone arriving.
