The scene opens up to a man walking, but only from the neck down. Making sure not to reveal his face. When he stops walking the camera shifts forward to find a jaguar mask set on a mannequin head on a what looks like a dresser of some sort. The camera stays focused on it for a few seconds, signaling the possible return of world renowned wrestling star El Rey.
While the camera is still on a continuous shot of the mask. When The Guide's voice can be heard. His voice almost sounds like it's been spoken from someone's conscience.
Guide: What does the mask mean to you? Yes, it has been passed down by your mentor, which meant a lot to him, but what does it mean to YOU?
RECAP FLASHBACK
Recap: El Rey who use to be called by his english translation 'King'. A wrestling name given to him by his mentor King after he retired to continue his legecy. El Rey then went to Japan to make a name for himself but found serious trouble in the mafia that owned the major wrestling companies in Japan at the time the Mishima Zaibatsu.
Within his first week there(back when he talked), he caught the attention of Mishima Zaibatsu's hand-picked wrestler/killer. As he worked private deathmatches for the world's richest gamblers, and was undefeated obiously. His name was Marduk and he loved to 'shoot' and permately cripple his opponents.

After Marduk challenged King (El Rey) to wrestling match, that was obviously going to turn into another infamous Marduk shoot matches. El Rey shot back. And defeated the monster by redering him unconcious. That win gave the monster his first loss and The Mishima Zaibatsu wasn't happy their meal ticket was defeated on free tv. So King (El Rey) was called into their offices, only after to be attacked by Marduk in the hallway, leading a future deathmatch to be made between King (El Rey) and Marduk.
REAL FLASHBACK
King (El Rey) decides he'd rather leave Japan and be made a mockery out of than kill somebody in a deathmatch.
DING
Speaker: Flight 133 now boarding.
King (El Rey) Still masked and back when he actually talked, is about to board his flight when the man next to him throws his local newspaper into the already overfilled trash bin next to El Rey. Within a birds eye view, King (El Rey) peeks at the newspaper and sees a part of a picture, It's either a wrestling or a boxing ring. To early to tell at this point, so El Rey picks up the newspaper.
The Headline in Japanese reads:
MARDUKS FINAL MATCH?
King (El Rey) reads on:
After Marduk the Monster lost his first match a few days ago. Bringing shame among his whole family. the decision has been made by upper-management that Marduk will take on the Japan World Tag Team champions, the undefeated, Katayanagi Twins.
In a handicap match, and if Marduk loses he will be fired and probably never seen in a wrestling ring again. It will certainly be an interesting show. Check your local cable provider for listings.
King's (El Rey's) cat senses is tingling. He smells a setup. They are teasing Marduk's last match before they kill him in a deathmatch later on. Now King (El Rey) has a serious decision to make. So he decides to go to a nearby payphone, those were a big box of glass with telephones attached to them where you could make phone calls. King (El Rey) puts change in and begins to dial...
King (mentor): Hello?
King's (El Rey's) mentor the first King answered his phone in his rarely heard Mufasa (James Earl Jones) voice. Always his father figure, King (El Rey) turns to his wise mentor for advice.
King (El Rey): Hey, it's your favorite student. I've got a real dilemma here.
King (mentor): What happened?
King (El Rey): Long story short... They wanted me to wrestle a unaired deathmatch here in Japan. I don't want to kill anybody. So I'm at the airport, ready to go home. But I'm reading a newspaper here that basically says the guy who was going to fight me in the deathmatch, could be fighting his last televised match this week. Sort of giving the hints they will kill him in a deathmatch after the show. And I don't know what to do.
King (mentor): You're in a real tough spot here. Let me ask you this, Do you know why I passed my trademark mask and character on to you?
King (El Rey): Why?
King (mentor): Because I knew, at the end of the day, I could live through you. And that includes the decisions you make... in and out of the wrestling ring. I'm afraid you're going to have to make the call here. And I will respect whichever decision you make.
The camera outside of the phone booth starts to pan out , not hearing the rest of the conversation between mentor and apprentice. The camera keeps panning out until it eventually fades to black.
We return with the heir to the Mishima Zaibastsu fortune, owner of this Japanese wresting company, and just so happens to be the undefeated World Champion of the company, Kazuya Mishima. Everybody there speaks in Japanese, luckily for you, English subtitles have been added to the bottom. Even with the language barrier you can tell by this man's tone of voice that he is pure evil.
Kazuya: I hope you all have enjoyed the show I've put on for you, but now it is time for our main event. Where if the monster Marduk loses, he will have to fight me in an "untelevised" match after the show. Place your bets now. Hahaha. (He meant that as an inside joke, for the gamblers that will be betting on the untelevised death match after the show) Now let's get this started.
DING! DING! DING!
Kazuya: First, The world tag team champions! the future of this company! And the best tag team in the world! Ken and Kyle Katayangi! The Katayangi Twins!
The Katayanagi twins come out to the best lightning and techno japanese music for it's time, and the fans love them. Holding their tag titles high in the air.
Kazuya: And their opponent, The monster Marduk!
Marduk comes out to no music, in shackles and chains. Getting boo'd every step of the way. He gets in the ring and starts asking around to see who is going to remove his shackles. Nobody responsed. Just as King (El Rey) predicted, it was a setup. That's when King's (El Rey's) music hit. And he runs down to the ring and he came with a microphone.
King(El Rey): Excuse me if I don't think this is fair. YOU! Kazuya! I demand you make this tag team match!
Marduk looks shocked! The guy he wanted to kill a few days ago is coming to his aid? Kazuya quickly grabbed a microphone. Talking from a pressbox platform he got to rather quickly after making the ring introductions.
Kazuya: First and foremost, Don't you ever demand anything from me! Second, you want to assist your foe in losing? That's fine with me! Then I will also add you to the 'untelevised' match when you two lose! Ring the bell!
DING! DING! DING!
FAST-FORWARD >>
We are near the end of an epic tag team encounter, even though Marduk is still in chains, he is still one of the most durable guys around. He has kicked out of everything the Katayangi Twins had in their arsinels!
TAG TO KING (EL REY)!
King (El Rey) cleans house!
But the Katayangi Twins keep coming! They are relentless! King (El Rey) kicks Kyle in the mid-section and throws him over the tope rope!
NO! He's going to skin the cat, back into the ring!
NO! MARDUK just threw his massive shoulder into the ribs of Kyle Katayangi! Forcing him to let go of the ropes and hit the ringside floor!
In the ring, counter after counter after counter! King (El Rey) is finally able to get the upperhand and irish whips Ken.
MARDUK WITH A CHEAPSHOT!
Referee didn't see Marduk use part of the chain that was supposed to stop him from winning! Now it assisted him. Ken is dazed on his feet.
JAGUAR LARIAT!!!
(Clothesline from Hell)
King (El Rey) covers!
1....
Kazuya can be heard screaming from the press and luxury booth.

Winners and NEW Japan World Tag Team Champions!
KING (EL REY) & MARDUK! |
The show ends with Kazuya looking on in disbelief as The new tag team champions celebrate in the ring.
El Rey slowly snaps out of it...
We go back to where the story started except the mannequin head was completely visible. The mask was gone from where it was placed. The last thing the camera sees from a mirror behind the mannequin head is El Rey leaving the room with the famous mask now on his head
What does the mask mean to YOU?
