We're looking at what seems to be an old abandoned church, suddenly we hear the noise of a vehicle which is revealed as a pretty luxurious sports car that makes it's way onto the rock filled space which is supposed to be a parking lot. The front door opens and it's revealed that it's Lang himself, he looks up at the top of the structure and advances to the front door... he goes to open it and it nearly opens before he makes contact with it, in fact the door flies wide open with startles Lang a little bit but he proceeds to enter the building. The benches still fill up the hall, Lang looks around as he observes his surroundings, a podium still lies in place as well as an old piano off to the side, and finally Lang eventually sees the statue of Christ which he goes to touch what appears to be marble.
I once lived a life where this man was my lord... he was my saviour. I had dedicated my life to him, I had put my life in his hands to charish for eternity because I thought it would help.
It didn't do a damn thing.
That was a long time ago, the fact is Eli I grew up in a very religion based life. Church was a big part of my life, Jesus was a big part of my life. Looking back on it now, I guess I would be a Mystica, or I'd be a Casey Jones... hell I'd even be an Elisha. I gave all my will power and faith away to this dead man who I thought could magically solve my every day problems.
I did what a stereotypical good Christian would do, I thanked Jesus for everything I had, I followed various rules and principles set by the holy bible, many of the things and words I speak of I wouldn't even of fathomed doing these things years ago.
But I woke up Eli.
I might of broken a few family bridges, but I fucking woke up. I can't put my faith in someone that isn't with us, I can't put my faith with anything that isn't on this earth. My faith lies with three different groups.
One, the very few close relatives that I have left... Two, the Extreme Revolution...
Lang walks over and takes a seat at one of the front benches, making another observation of the chapel.
But most importantly Eli, my faith resides within my own body and mind. If there's anything I've learnt in my life that can relate to both wrestling and personal matters it's that at the end of the day, the only person you can fully trust is yourself. With that being said, I'm very surprised at how good of a manipulator you truly are, I must say you have fair following.
However, there's something I heard you say Eli... you appear to think that outside of the world you live in is full of ''darkness'' right? Many of us people that I like to call ''somewhat sane'' would disagree with that, and I use the word somewhat because if you didn't know already I can flip my lid sometimes, I can get pretty fucking pissed off.
Lang laughs to himself afterwards, kind of random but I'm sure he has his reason...
I cannot believe we're back onto this, I didn't know that you can have these random bursts when you become mentally challenged Eli so let me let you in on something. You can say I didn't accept it as many times as you want, and since you like the truth I tell you the truth like I always do. Before I could officially respond to this challenge, the triple threat steel cage match was already booked. In that case, I think that's something that works out for both of us... wouldn't you agree? You can technically get this handicap match, that is if you think myself and Jason will truly be in this together?
Me and Jason have spoken ONCE since Warfare, and I can say this for the both of us that we aren't on the best of terms. Yes, after this I still assume he'll still be down with Extreme Revolution and we'll go onto our next challenge but like I also said we're both going in there to take that championship away from you. Other than that, in regards to a future handicap match... Eli, I think this has been a good chance to get to know one another and if you know me by now there would be nothing I'd like more than to beat the hell out of you on more than one occasion. If you ever actually want to go with a handicap match, I will gladly ACCEPT this challenge. I hope that issue is cleared and you can have some closure regarding that.
Lang stops speaking for a moment and goes to retrieve something out of his pocket, he takes it out and it's revealed to be a necklace with a separate cross attached to it.
At one point in my life I gave everything up for this cross. Everything I said, every action I committed, it was all protected by this cross. Do you know what I say now?
Lang removes the cross from the necklace and simply chucks the cross onto the ground, not looking at it whatsoever.
What I've done for years, everything I say, every action I commit... I have more than a cross to protect me. I have more than religion to protect me, I have two things that will protect me and one of these things will come into play during our steel cage match.
All I need..... is myself.
