Quote:OOC: I apologize for this embarrassment, but time got away from me due to some personal shit and I didn't get around to finishing this. I'm sorry to Heyman and Radio for my poor performance.

|-| War Games. It was a war. And the good guys .. the bad guys .. somebody won. Team Angelus walked out of War Games victorious, with Griffin MacAlister and Tony Santos getting their shot at John Madison’s XWF Crown. And due to her impressive performance, Alexandra Callaway was awarded a match with Eli James IV for his XWF United States Championship. And while he may not have a Championship match coming his way .. yet .. Shawn Steele was instrumental in making sure his team was on the winning side of War. His performance inside of the cage .. and frankly his performance simply getting INSIDE of the cage, was impressive. And, one could say, he was single handily responsible for the failure of the plans of Extreme Revolution. In fact, LJ Havok himself is placing the blame on the broad shoulders of Shawn Steele. But it wasn’t about winning. Or keep Havok or his Extreme Revolution from getting one over. No. It was about punishment. It was about destruction. It was about annihilation. It was about carnage. It was about victimization. And there were plenty of victims at the hands of “Sadistic” Shawn Steele. In the end, Steele wasn’t awarded another match thanks to his performance. But there’s no time to dwell on that. Because now, Shawn Steele finds himself entered into the Fall Madness Series. This tournament awards the winner a chance at becoming the new XWF European Champion. But that’s not why Shawn Steele is in it. No. His reasoning is simple enough though. Everyone .. every single member of the Monday Night Madness roster, is entered into this Fall Madness Series. And that means Shawn is going to get his opportunity. Not his opportunity at the XWF European Championship. No. His opportunity at carnage. His opportunity to wreak havoc on Monday Night Madness. And that’s just what he’s set out to do. The face of Madness is about to be changed forever. Carnage is coming to Monday nights. And it starts inside of the Kemper Arena. And it starts .. with Mr. Radio.

And now .. the X-treme Wrestling Federation brings to you .. The Ballad of Mr. Steele .. Act I

The year is 2013. Because this isn’t a fucking time travel adventure series. No. This is professional wrestling. And in this world .. in the year of 2013 .. in the month of September .. on the day of Monday the Second .. in the city of Kansas City, Missouri .. There is nobody better. Nobody better than “Sadistic” Shawn Steele. This is something that the X-treme Wrestling Federation has begun to understand. Slowly but surely, Mr. Steele has been returning to form. The form that made him a monster. And not the type of monster that Mr. Radio likes to tell you all about in his fictional stories of wonder. No. The type of monster that your mother warned you about. And as the year of 2013 begins to draw to a close, that monster is going to be unleashed. Unleashed upon the XWF. Unleashed upon Mr. Radio.

And just who is this Mr. Radio? Perhaps the better question would be, WHAT is Mr. Radio? A psychopath? A sociopath? No. In fact, those diagnoses are probably descriptions better suited for Shawn Steele. But back to Mr. Radio. What Mr. Radio is, is a schizophrenic. A paranoid schizophrenic. A paranoid schizophrenic with a Napoleon Complex. He’s a little man in a world of giants. A little man who suffers from some massive delusions of grandeur. It’s just like when you’re a child, and you feel the need to create an imaginary friend. But we all grow out of that phase. Don’t we? Well not one Michael Radio. No. He hasn’t outgrown it. Instead, his schizophrenic delusions have only increased in their level of absurdity. In the mind of Mr. Radio, he’s a supernatural being. But he’s not. He’s a simple mortal, just like everyone else. And, as a mortal .. a mortal who’s stepping into the ring with Shawn Steele, Mr. Radio’s mortal life is on the line.

Out of the darkness emerges a figure .. that of Richard B. Riddick. His eyes glimmering with the light as he lifts his shaded goggles off of them. A sudden loud crashing sound is heard from behind Riddick, causing him to drop the goggles back over his eyes and turn around quickly where he’s confronted by .. by .. well we’ll never know was the scene has frozen. Holding still on the image of the back of Riddick’s bald head for a moment, finally the angle begins panning back slowly to reveal we’ve been looking at a large flat screen television, apparently adorning the wall of Shawn Steele’s Portland, Oregon condo, because finally we see Steele himself standing across from it, small black remote control in his hand. Turning away from the television, Shawn turns to face the camera before speaking, lifting his arm to point towards the television.

Shawn Steele: That’s Riddick. One of the last remaining Furyans. A once great warrior race that was all but exterminated when his home planent, Furya, was invaded. He was one of the few to escape extinction. Riddick is one of the most superior warriors of his race. An Alpha-Furyan, if you will. I mean, have you seen this dude’s eyes? He can see in the dark. That’s pretty fuckin’ awesome, don’t you think? But here’s the thing .. it’s not real. It’s a fictional story. A story that someone has written to entertain the masses. Is any of this sounding familiar, Mr. Radio? It should, because it’s the very same thing that you do. Week after week. You entertain us all with your tales of the future. Tales of your death. Tales of being brought back to life thanks to the Nexus Program. That’s very original, by the way. Well done, Radio. So you just keep on serenading us with your “ballads”. And while you write up your next piece of award winning fiction for us all to marvel over, I’m going to explain something to you.

Turning off the television and tossing the remote onto a coffee table, Steele turns his attention back to the camera.

Shawn Steele: What’s going to happen on Monday night in Kansas City isn’t one of your little fairy tales. There’s going to be no happy ending in the ballad of Mr. Radio at Madness. This is real life. This, is life and death. And there is no coming back to life in the X-treme Wrestling Federation.

End
