Hello Ara-Om.

The sun beats down on the 1968 Mercedes-Benz W113 as it zooms by with it's top down, while Arville La'Donis places his left hand back onto the steering wheel, after activating his blu-tooth. Arville's expression was a mixture of concern and slight annoyance as he listened to his younger Mormon brother, list off all that had gone wrong on his trip to speak with a classroom of high school students. He listened and could almost picture Ara-Om standing outside that high school, looking a sweaty mess and the part of Arville.....that residue of the man he was before he found the way to true enlightenment through Mormon, wanted to laugh. However Arville wasn't that man anymore. Arville was a man touched by Mormon. He wasn't the guy who enjoyed fast cars and loose women. The guy who made a quick buck by hustling people in The Big Easy. He was now an enlightened man....a changed man and he was going to redeem his soul, by spreading the powerful words of Joseph Smith.

Well now Ara-Om, I don't think Satan was in the classroom with you.

Arville spoke the words interrupting the now frenzied sounding whimpers of his Mormon brother.

No, what I think happened was, you ran into a poor child who hasn't quiet embraced the right path. His blindness to the light and purity, of all things Mormon just means he's a confused young soul. Now I told you, you were going to run into individuals of this nature when you and I discussed this before. You can't let these types get to you.

The truth was Arville La'Donis had seen what could be considered the true devil incarnate. That beast resided in him every time he committed a wrong deed, or a sin. Every time he shot up with dope, or swallowed down a glass of bourbon. Then one day an angel in the form of a book, slapped him in the face. That book was the book of Mormon and it fell down from the heavens and literally smacked him right in the face. As Arville lay in the gutter on a lonely street in New Orleans. Drunk and high from the night before. Reeking of piss and cheap prostitutes. Someone tossed their copy of the book of Mormon, out their window and it hit Arville in the face as he lay passed out in the gutter in front of their home. When he opened his eyes, he felt the pain of redemption and suddenly.....he knew what must be done. He rose from that gutter a changed man. A new man. From then on he followed the ways of Mormon and his life and soul were saved.

It would be five long years after that spiritual awakening, that Arville would meet Ara-Om and they would take on the plight of spreading the word of Mormon state wide. Life was good and simple for Arville. As long as he had his faith and the unity from his Mormon brothers and sisters. He knew everything would be okay. Just like he knew Ara-Om would be okay, after his awful experience trying to pass the word of Joseph Smith, to a bunch of ungrateful and unruly high schoolers.

Listen Ara-Om. Do not let this bad experience get you down. Look to your heart and to the teachings of Joseph Smith. There you will find the answers you need. One bad experience is but a test of faith and devotion. Don't let it steer you from the path. Look at it as a test that you overcame. It's made you stronger and now, you know what to expect. This makes you all the more ready to spread the word and spread it you shall.

We shall not falter our step, nor shall we change our course The message of Mormon will be given and those who accept Joseph Smith's teachings into their lives, will be forever changes for the better. You will be the cause of that change Ara-Om. Your words will have caused that spiritual revival and revolution, unto that soul. So fret not, dear Mormon brother. This is simply the first step in a staircase of divine intervention. Your words will guide the power of Joseph Smith and the ways of Mormon, further than you think. You just must have faith.

Ara-Om sounded like a changed man. Who wouldn't after a pep talk like that from Arville. He was in fact the cheerleader of all things Mormon. With his calm voice and easy going nature, few argued with what Arville said. It what made him such a good hustler in the past and what sold the book of Mormon now. Arville's demeanor coupled with his looks, sold whatever he was selling.

A satisfied smile crossed Arville's face as he realized he assured his brother Ara-Om's doubts and comforted him, in his time of mental duress. Ara-Om sounded more sure and determined than ever, when the call ended and Arville was pleased. That kid was going to be okay! As Arville slipped the blu-tooth device out of his ear and tossed it into the glove compartment, he found himself rolling up on a stop light. A car full of young ladies pulled up alongside Arville's car as Arville turned his head and nodded a friendly greeting to the women. His smile was unfaltering and there was a gleam in his eyes as he leaned over and passed a card to one of the women.

Hello ladies. Can I interest you in hearing about the glorious, rapture that is the book of Mormon?
