So how many bags sir?
Two please.
Alright, head down that hallway, and it will be at gate twenty-four.
OK, thank you.
I had managed to get checked in at the airport, and not spend forever getting through the first part of security. Of course, to get into the gateway of the airport, was the belly of the beast. I remember back in the day, you could get through within ten to fifteen minutes max. Now, your lucky to get through within an hour. Of course it has gotten a little easier in recent years. I would hate to go back to those post-9/11 trips to the airport. Those were all day events. Even when your flight left at nine at night, you would have to be there no later then noon to make sure you made your flight.
Sir, please place your bag on the belt, remove all metallic items and place them in the bowl. Then, please walk through the detector.
No problem.
I had managed to find an express line, only because I was just carrying on my backpack. I placed it on the belt, as I was reaching into my pocket. Pulling out an assortment of changes and keys, I placed them into the bowl along with my wallet. I proceeded to walk through the detector to the other side. Once there I was met by another security guard. He was standing there with my backpack, standing by a table.
Sure you have been selected for extensive clearance.
Are you serious? You make it sound like I won something.
Sir, please step into this room.
I guess.
I didn't want to voice my extreme displeasure with the situation. Of course, had I done that, I would be spending the night in that damn airport all night. As I entered the room, there was merely a table and two chairs, with one on either side. One of the officers motioned me to one of the chair as he continued back out the door.
This is just great.
After a few moments, two different men walked into the room. One of them appeared to be a supervisor of sorts. He was in a casual button-up shirt, slacks and had a badge around his neck reading Captain. The other individual looked like the previous officer who had shown me this comfortable seat I was in. The Captain sat down in the chair across from myself and dropped a manila folder. I will have to give these guys credit, since they already had a file on me. I mean I really didn't fly that much, but never expected to have a file on me.
Do you know why we have called you in here?
No really, I figured you guys wanted autographs. Then again, I am pretty sure you see me as a potential threat?
Your name is Kyle Scott, currently employed by Xtreme Wrestling Inc., living in Columbus, Ohio with your wife and daughter, correct.
Yes.
Currently, scheduled to face Ricky Desmond at Shove It in a no disqualification match?
Yes? Why does that...
Sir! I am collecting information.
Sorry.
So, why have you decided to face this individual in a no disqualification match?
Really?
Answer the questions, or we will be taking you to the local authorities.
I was starting to wonder why they were asking me about my match on Saturday night. It's not like this has anything to do with security, unless the next person to walk through that door...
*KNOCK* *KNOCK*
Come in.
Hello. My name is Archie Lawson, attorney at law. I'm here to represent Mr. Scott.
WOW, that sure was fast. We will give you a few minutes with your client.
Thank you.
I knew who it was, and I think I wanted to jump across the table at this guy. I would love to know how he knew I was here, and was able to convince these stupid airport security personnel he was actually my lawyer. Especially since I didn't call anyone while I was in here...since THEY had my phone the whole time.
Now, let's get one thing perfectly clear. If you try anything, you won't be making it home tonight. Let alone make it to Night of Payne on Saturday.
What do you want Desmond?
An manic smile came across his face as he looked at me.....
To be concluded....
When there is a storm...Lightning strikes!
