The scene opens up to see the arm of Shawn Steele as he’s pulling back, having just flipped on a camera sitting atop a tripod. As he takes a step back from the camera, it can be seen that he’s holding the very same crowbar that was brought to the ring by John Austin this past Monday night on Madness. The very same crowbar that was then slammed into the heads of both Austin and Andrew Aldway before Steele dragged Evertrust on top of Aldway to cost The Connection member his shot at the XWF European Championship. He lifts that very same crowbar into the air, effectively splitting his face between two screens as he begins talking, his eyes focused on the crowbar as he speaks.

Shawn Steele: I told you what was coming. I gave you fair warning but you chose to ignore it. You all chose to ignore it. Maybe you really did think that you had gotten rid of me with that beating last week. And with most men, you may have driven them right out of the organization with what you did. You sent a message. You made an impact. To put it bluntly, you beat the living shit out of me. It’s been a lot of years since I’ve been tossed around like that. I can admit when I’m over-matched. When I’m in over my head. And when it’s four on one, I’m in way over my head. But thanks to you, Johnny, I’ve got an equalizer.

Shawn smirks, beginning to spin the crowbar in his hands slowly.

Shawn Steele: Not that I really needed it, but since you saw fit to bring a toy down to the ring last night John, I figured I may as well put it to good use. And I can’t think of a better use than cracking the skull of every member of The Connection. I’ve got to admit John, it felt good smacking Aldway in the back of the head. Fuck, it felt even BETTER costing him that match. But do you know what felt even better than making sure Aldway didn’t win last night? What .. honestly, what felt better than anything in my X-treme Wrestling Federation career? That exact moment when this steel made contact with your skull. That sickening thud that echoed throughout the entire arena just before your limp body hit the canvas. I can’t even try to deny the pleasure that brought me. Yes .. this little toy of yours John Austin, it’s pretty great. So I can imagine the distress you must be feeling right now. Knowing that it’s lost. Forever. In the hands of another. But, as a show of good faith Johnny, I’m going to give you an opportunity. The opportunity of a lifetime. The opportunity to get back what, I will admit, was blatantly stolen from you. That’s right John, you can have your little crowbar back. All you have to do is pick it up personally. After all, we wouldn’t want someone else stealing it now would we? So just meet me .. well wherever, and I’ll be happy to give you back your crowbar. More than happy.

Reaching behind and to the left, out of the picture, Steele sets the crowbar down on something before turning his attention back to the camera.

Shawn Steele: I think I’ve proven by now, that I’m a man of my word. I said I wasn’t going to be in that tournament last night. And I wasn’t. But I also said I was going to play a big part in it. And I think we can all agree, I did. I did exactly what I set out to do. And that was ruin any chance The Connection had of obtaining XWF gold. And that is exactly what I’m going to do. What I’m going to continue to do. Because unlike last night when I bowed out, in six days at Madness, in Brooklyn, New York, I’m all in. I will be in that Rumble. But just like last night, I’ll be hunting. I’ll be hunting The Connection. And one by one, I’ll destroy them. All of them. And I won’t stop until The Connection is extinct.

And that brings me to .. Andrew Morrison. Because I thought we had an understanding. And understanding that we both wanted the same thing. A test. We wanted to go one on one. See who the best man was. But based on recent events, I see Andrew Morrison for who he is. Who he really is. A coward. A coward who knew that eventually, I’d come back for him. Come back for the first goal I had set for myself in the XWF. So instead of being the man, the competitor I had thought that he was, he took the coward’s way out. Instead of facing me, he joined his little Connection buddies and tried to take me out. I don’t forget Morrison. And I sure as hell don’t forgive. Monday night at Madness, you’re going to be the first man that I send flying over that top rope. And trust me, I’m not going to use some trick with your momentum like Swift Ion did. No. I’m going to make sure that you end up in the front row.

I know what’s at stake in this match. A shot at the biggest prize of them all. The true Crown jewel of the XWF. A chance to be the King. But that’s not what I’m interested in. I’m interested in making sure that every single member of The Connection never forgets that the day they trade to make an impact at my expense, is the day that their careers came crashing down!

After delivering the last line, Steele leans forward again, his arm obstructing the view before the scene cuts to black.
