We are less than twenty four hours away now. Less than twenty four hours until Monday Night Madness takes the air live from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The opening match will see ten XWF Superstars stepping into the ring for an Over the Top Rope Battle Royal. “The Pulse" Kim Kommando. Steve Fitch. Joshua Micks. Shady Robertson. Shawn Steele. Lord Malichi. Heath Mason. “The Tornado" Andrew Morrison. Swift Ion. Jonathon Thomas Cross. Only one person will be left standing in the ring, the lone survivor. For the winner of this match, a big step up in competition. For the rest.. back to the drawing board.

The screen begins to fade up slowly, showing an empty section of seating in the Bell Centre, the arena mostly empty. Just a few workers milling about, getting things in place before tonight's big event. As the camera begins to pan slowly, we see more arena workers cleaning the seating areas, a few men with “XWF Crew" shirts on wiring up the announcer tables. In the ring is one lone figure, sitting perched upon the top turnbuckle, camera crew recording him. Panning still we see the X-TRON slowly being moved into position, workers taking care to make sure it's centered just perfectly. Moving along we see more empty seats until finally we see a lone figure sitting in the fifth row, watching the ring.
Shawn Steele: I have to wonder .. I have to wonder just how long this match is going to go tonight. On the one hand, there's a bunch of filth in this match that doesn't even belong in the same ring with me. Lord Malichi. Steve Fitch. Shady Robertson. Heath Mason. Joshua Micks. Kim Kommando. They'll all be gone in a matter of seconds once that bell rings. If they even bother showing up tonight. I know I haven't seen them around yet. But then, once the trash has been thrown away, then it'll get good.
Swift Ion .. Swift has some issues. Yeah, I saw his last little interview. It's a little odd that there's a camera crew for a newspaper article, but I guess Ion didn't see it that way. If one were to dig a little deeper, I don't think you'd be able to find any interview in any paper. That poor little Swift Ion, so gullible. I mean .. that reporter, Jenny Walker? She called him Jason. Did anyone else pick up on that? Kind of odd, isn't it? And he didn't even flinch! Why is that, Swifty? Some woman from a respected newspaper calls you by the wrong name, and you just ignore it? Well, I guess you get what you paid for, don't you? The fact is, you're in over your head here and you know it. You know you can't compete with me. You can't compete with Morrison. Hell, you can't even compete in that ring with Jonathon Cross. And that realization has finally set in. And so has the panic. You don't know what to do. So you hired some random woman, probably a street walker, based on the look of her. I'll bet you hired her before you got on that plane. Set it all up. Even gave her the questions to ask. What better way to prepare for an interview, than to ask yourself the questions.
But what about me, Swifty? Why so silent? You'll talk at lengths about Andrew Morrison and Jonathon Thomas Cross. But me .. I'm just one of “The Rookies"? And you act like “The Rookies" is just one guy. You .. you're not real bright, are you Swift? But that's okay, you don't have to be a genius to have success in this business. Cross is a perfect example of that. But you Swift, you continue to ignore me. No matter how many times I address you, directly, you still ignore me. But tonight, tonight you can't ignore me. Because tonight we're going to be in that same ring. And I'm going to find you. And I'm going to make sure that you never disrespect me again. Tonight, I show you why I'm to be respected. Tonight I show you why I am to be feared.
Standing from his seat, Shawn begins to move throw the row slowly, the camera following his movement as he begins walking up along the isle.
Shawn Steele: I really have nothing left to say about Jonathon Cross. This guy .. this guy is a loser. Plain and simple. You can't bring your family, your entire family, into this business and not expect them to become part of your battles. Was a line crossed? Maybe. Probably. But that's what happens. It's all about how you deal with it. And how did Cross deal with it? Did he find out everything he could about Andrew Morrison, every little personal detail, even the stuff he's tried to bury? Did he find out that deepest secret and then expose it? Did he go to extremes to make Morrison pay for his attacks? No. Instead he started to whine like a little bitch. Complained to everyone who would listen to him moan for hours on end about how offended he was. Hell, he even has his wife and his annoying sister fighting his battles for him. You're pathetic, Cross. Fucking pathetic. Go away. Just .. go away.
Coming to the top of the isle just before leaving the actual arena, Shawn turns on his heels, staring down into the camera.
Shawn Steele: Last man standing. That's what it's going to come down to. One last man inside of that ring. And I can promise you, it's going to come down to Shawn Steele and Andrew Morrison. We will be the final two inside of that ring tonight. As I've said since the beginning. None of the other eight so called superstars can stop him. That much is plainly clear for everyone to see. At least everyone except for Swift Ion and Jonathon Cross. But let's be honest with each other Andrew. Those two are fucking morons whom need to be dealt with before the real fun can begin.
You tell me to be careful what I wish for. But trust me, I know what I'm getting myself into. And I look forward to it. I signed that dotted line on my contract because I was looking for a good fight. And while I may have been unhappy with being tossed into a random Battle Royal for my debut, I've changed my mind. I can admit when I'm wrong, and I was wrong. Tonight is going to be fun. After you've dealt with Cross and I've had my fun tossing a bunch of nobodies over the top, and that includes you Ion, then the real fun begins. You and me Morrison. Toe-to-toe. I don't expect it to be easy. I don't want it to be easy. Tonight, I want to get into a fight. Get into a battle. And I'm fully expecting that tonight. But make no mistake, it's going to be me getting my arm raised tonight. Not you. I give you all the respect in the world, because you've earned that. But what you won't earn is a victory in tonight's Battle Royal. Only one man can do that. And you're lookin' at him. Tonight is the dawning of The New Age. The Age of Shawn Steele. Enjoy it. I know I will.
With a quick smirk, Shawn turns on his heels again and walks out of the picture as the scene begins to fade.
