It had been almost two months since the incident in Perth. Two months of hiding, two months of not being allowed to do anything. Everything was deemed too dangerous by Gaea and Azoth. The two had been hiding out in a Cemetery In New Orleans for months now. And Now they had brought Aliza and Jessalyn there.

While here Aliza and Jessalyn both found solace in the simple things. With Gaea being the Primordial of Life she had begun to grow small plants and bushes from the underground tributaries near where they were. Both of the girls had found that the simplicity of taking care of plants had brought them some sort of peace, especially after the last year they both have had.

Jessalyn and Aliza sat in a patch of dirt tilling soil and planting seeds. Gaea came out form her room in the build. She seemed furious and she was heading towards Jessalyn and Aliza.

We have had this conversation too many times Jessalyn!!

Her voice was different this time, it was filled with anger and worry. She seemed disappointed on top of all of this. She for some reason had a tablet. In her hands and there was a video on repeat. Jessalyn seemed confused as too what Gaea was talking about. She threw the tablet at Jessalyn.

I have told you numerous times that we have to stay hidden. We have to lay low and regroup. I can not stress this enough, We can not risk ourselves let alone the rest of the people we are associated with for your vanity and stupidity.

Jessalyn looked down at the tablet. It was a video of her attack on Hannari. The one from last weeks Savage on loop over and over again. She watched as Gaea became more and more upset.

Jessalyn nervously did as she was told and she closed the video. The video itself was an attachment in an email sent to the Ravens. It came from an email she had never seen. The Message in the email said

Jessalyn looked up at Gaea as she threw the tablet on the ground. She stood up and knocked the dirt off of her knees and started to walk towards the entrance of the catacombs.

I am going to find Cortessa and kill that bitch myself. I am done hiding from them. I am a goddamn Raven, my job is to rid of people like her. To protect humanity from assholes like her and Micheal. Jessalyn stood there for a moment. Collecting her thought, she didn't expect Gaea to find out about it. Now she had to figure out a way to justify risking everything.

I did it in the hoped that they would come for me. I was hoping that they would send some goons after me and I could get info from them. I didn't do it because I don't care I did it because I am tired of acting like some weak child while they are out there doing whatever they want unchecked.

Gaea stared into Jessalyn's Eyes as if she was trying to find the truth in her words.

How many more Ravens have to die before you wanna start fighting back. What about Emanuel or Abigail? What about them? Emanuel is dead and Abigail is missing. How many more people we care about have to die before we start to fight back? I am not doing this anymore. I did this same song and dance with Mezian. I am not doing this again with you. I am ready and more than willing to take the fight to them. The question I guess here is are you willing to take the fight to them?

Gaea's stance and facial expression changed in an instant from rage to a more somber one. Her shoulders slumped slightly as the weight of what Jessalyn was saying sank in.

FIne, You win you can go but I need you to speak to someone before you go. We have to go to a place in the city. Its a bar on Bourbon Street, he is an old friend. Maybe he can give you some advice on what your next move should be.

Fine, we can do that. But once I am done there I am leaving for Minnesota.

Gaea and Jessalyn vanished from the depts of the catacomb to wind up in front of this Jazz bar. The sounds of music and the smell of cheap whiskey came billowing from within. The two opened the door to enter. The dark crowded room was filled with smoke and body heat. Jessalyn and Gaea made their way back towards a door.

The closer and closer the two got to the door the more and more uneasy Jessalyn became. She felt as if she had been here before but she didn't know how. She had never been to New Orleans. Somehow she knew exactly what as behind the door. But this time she didn't know who was behind it. The only person who could be back her would be...

Her thought process was interrupted as her eyes came to focus from the bright light in the back room. They entered the room and closed the door. It was a well-lit room full of random pictures from the Jazz scene here n New Orleans in the twenties. There was an odd smell of blood and gin in the room. The room had a large mahogany table in the cent with a black leather tall back chair. Whoever was sitting it didn't want to be bothered by them entering the room.

Gaea spoke first

Jessalyn hears a faintly familiar laugh. The Black chair swung around and faced them at the doorway. She couldn't believe her eyes

You seem to think that beating Mastermind makes you important. It does but only to a point. It means that you are the XWF Television Champion but it also means you beat up and over the hill middle-aged man who should have stayed retired.
