Steve Sayors sat patiently in Erik Black's office. He'd finally taken the hint that Erik would have him killed if he showed up unannounced again. Steve may be a man who things himself more important than he actually is, but he did value his life..atleast a little. He'd arrived early to make sure the cameras were all set up. He wanted this interview to be perfect. He wanted everything to go exactly as he had planned. The last time, things got a little messy. He'd arrived without notice for the interview. Erik had given him one...Well..He'd some what given him one.

This time, however, Steve was ready. He'd read up on fish tanks and was one hundred percent sure that the large shark swimming around in Erik's fish tank would not eat him.

It was a quarter past nine when Erik Black arrived at the large double doors that led to his office. He's in there, right? He got here early?", Erik asked his secretary Jennifer.

Erik hadnt had the best of mornings. He'd spent all night trying to find out where Drache had taken Jason Cash and his family. He'd actually been up for days going through the papers that he'd brought back with him from New Orleans. Nothinig mentioned Jason Cash. Nothing mentioned any other properties. There was no paper trail.

Erik's eyes had dark circles around them. His hair was a mess and his suit was wrinkled. Jennifer noticed. The more this went on, the more worried she got. She hated seeing Erik this way, but knew that there was nothing she could do. There was no way she could help. She could only offer her support.

"Mr. Black....If I may..", Jennifer started. Erik looked to his right. This was where Jennifer's desk was. "You know that Jason is a very tough man. I'm sure he's ok. He's always been able to handle himself, right?", She finished with a smile.

Erik managed a weak grin. She was right. Jason was one tough bastard. If anyone would survive whatever ordeal he was going through, it would be Jason Cash. "You are correct, Jennifer. Thank you." , Erik said as he pressed the button to open the large double oak doors that led to his office.

He sighed loudly. He hated interviews. Why would he have to anyway? He had cameras following him at all times. If he had something to say about XWF or any of his matches, they would be aired. They would be heard. It would be ON XWF Television somehow.

The two large oak doors that led into Erik's office swung open without a sound. Erik sighed loudly again. He couldn’t even begin to fake it. He was tired. And he was angry. This interivew might go south rather quickly because of it.

Erik walked into the his office where Steve Sayors sat behind the desk. He'd made himself rather comfortable and had fallen asleep. Erik closed his eyes in an attempt o clear his mind. He'd hated it when Jason Cash had sat in that chair. He hated it even more now that he saw Steve Sayors doing it.

."Excuse me, Steve..But I do believe that is my chair." , Erik Black said in disgust.

The voice shocked Steve. He lept up from the seat and had a look about him that made is seem like he didnt know where he was.

He managed a grin when he saw Erik Black standing there, with his blood red suit, staring a hole through him.

"I'm very sorry, Mr. Black."

Erik rolled his eyes.

"Steve. Do you not understand the simple concept of anger? You do understand that things happen when I get angry..Though I do try to keep from getting to the point of anger, something I simply can not help it. And when things do get to that point, pictures end up on milk cartons. Missing persons reports are filed. It's simply a big mess.", Erik said flatly, hoping that Steve got the memo.

Steve scrambled to the white leather couch that sat on the other side of Erik's large mohogany desk. It was a bit too close to the large shark tank that Steve liked, but he seemed to have gotten the hint. And that hint? Well, Erik would have the man killed of course. It had been a while since Erik had gotten to that point however.

"Mr. Black, I first want to thank you for giving me this time. I know that things are not exactly great for you right now.", Steve said in a manner in which it was easy to tell that he was being a little too nice. Perhaps he didnt want to anger Erik. Erik, himself, simply nodded in agreement.

"Well, Mr. Sayors, I do have to say that these interviews you do are needless. If you look around, I have an entire camera crew that follows me everywhere I go. There is no need for you here. There is no need for the camera you brought here. I assure you that, in the event that I speak about XWF, It will be heard. It will be aired. The XWF world will know my thoughts. They always do", Erik said matteroffactly.

Steve wrote this down. It wasn’t often that XWF wrestlers actually had camera crews following them around. Zero Tolerance was different. They didnt hide their personal lives like most. They put it all in the open..illegal..or legal..It didn’t matter. Zero Tolerance always put it all out there.

"Either way, Mr. Black, I thank you for your time. Now, if you're willing, we can go ahead and start the interview.", Steve said. Erik nodded.

"How do you feel about these extreme matches? They are well liked by the participants. What are you real thoughts on the matter?", Steve asked.

Erik acted as if he were thinking on the matter. He kicked his feet up on his desk and leaned back in his chair.

"Well, Steve, I do have to say that I'm not fond of them. I'm in XWF to test my skills. How am I to test my skills when I’m thrown into a match consisting of a nobody? Answer that question for me, Steve.. The simple fact is that I cant. there is no way for me to test my skills against those who are no challenge to me.... Those who would not even make a man like myself break a sweat.", Erik said in his always emotionless tone.

Steve wrote the answer down even though this was being video recorded by the camera he'd brought in with him. "That is true, but Chris Chaos is a noted veteran. He's a hall of famer. He is a man you've faced before at War Game.”, Steve said

.Erik sighed loudly.

"He's also a man who I destroyed in my ring. I took out half his team. Maybe a few years ago he would have been quite the challenge. It maybe would have been quite exciting to face him... But now? Now he's simply just another man trying to relive his glory days. He needs to realize that those days are over... They're done.. They're in the past. He's nothing but a shell of the man he once was. And that’s if he even ever had any semblance of fighting skill.", Erik said with disgust. He closed his eyes in an attempt to calm himself.

"So it's safe to say that you're confident?", Steve asked. Erik nodded and turned his chair around to look down upont the people who walked down the sidewalk beside ZT Tower.

”Steve, I look down there at those people walking by. And I ask myself... Would they have the skill to challenge a man like myself in the ring? The simple answer is no. I am the most skilled man this world has ever seen. I can predict my opponent's movements. Things move in slow motion for me. I look at Chris Chaos.. And I feel the same way as I do now. I'm looking down on there, wondering if any one of them could possibly challenge what I bring. So, yes Steve, I am confident. When you have the abilities that I have, it would be stupid to not be confident in them.", Erik explained.

Steve thought this over for a second. Erik was comparing professional wrestlers to ordinary people. Was he really this cocky?

"Mr. Black, Forgive me if I’m being too forward here, but were you just comparing professional wrestlers to ordinary people?", Steve asked.

Erik, who was still staring out of his windows, turned around in his office chair.

"You arent exactly a smart man..Are you Steve? I ask because your question was already answered when I compared those people down there to professional wrestlers. If you want to call them that. Chaos? He's no wrestler. That guy barely knows how to throw a punch. Am I supposed to look at him any different than I look at a random person on the street....just because he has the title of professional wrestler? He's nothing. He has no more fighting skill than the old man I just watched buy a bagel from a street vendor.. He is, indeed, ordinary people.", Erik said with a smile.

“Many would argue that your opponent is, indeed, dangerous. Chris Chaos has held most of the championships here.", Steve started.

He was quickly cut off by Erik

" That’s my point Steve. He held championships in a place where fighting skill is nowhere to be found. They’re simply ordinary people who think they’re tough. They aren’t. I’ve been proving it since I debuted, Erik said with a sigh.

"Erik, Many would think you’re too full of yourself with those words.”, Steve said. Erik sighed to himself once more. He was really growing tired of these questions.

" I am above everyone else, Steve. A man of my skills is simply above everyone. That includes men like Chaos who can barely tie their shoes in the morning", Erik answered.

"But he is a legend in XWF”

Erik rolled his eyes. He couldn’t fight the anger anymore.

"That’s what I said, Steve. Do you not listen? Do you ask these questions and then not pay attention to the answers you're being given? I’ve said that he is a legend. He is top fifty all time. It doesn’t matter, Steve. Chris Chaos is nothing. He is a talentless man with a chip on his shoulders…a chip that was put there by winning against other talentless hacks.", Erik said, his voice raising.

Steve's eyes began to grow wide as if he were afraid.

"this interview is over. I've had enough. Please find your way from the premises", Erik said before turning around to stare out of the window.

He didn’t hear Steve get his things to leave. He didn’t care. He had far too much on his mind to deal with that man anymore.

Erik stared out of that large windows for what seemed like hours. Thoughts rushed through his mind. It was something that Erik had never liked. He'd always been the epitome of calm. And now he was reduced to worry.

"Mr. Black! Turn on the news!"

Erik was shaken from his thoughts, but he didnt know if that was particularly a good thing. Jennifer always used the intercom if it wasnt an emergency. The fact that she'd ran into the office made Erik nervous.

"Whats wrong?” Erik asked as calmly as he could. ONe of them had to be calm after all. Jennifer's face was red and flushed in her white dress. Erik knew that it couldnt be good.

He couldnt sit down in his chair, but he did turn toward the large TV that hung on the far right wall from where Erik stood. Jennifer turned on the news. Erik patiently watched.

“Zero Tolerance stocks are down ten percent due to rape claims against would be Zero Tolerance CEO, Erik Black. This makes it the third day in a row with a drop in stock prices."

Erik sank into his chair and turned the TV off. He couldnt believe it. He'd forgotten all about the rape case against him. He'd thought it nothing more than a rumor, but it didn’t seem to be. He'd forgotten all about it. Not only had Drache taken money from Zero Tolerance outright, but now he was taking money from them another way. Or atleast it seemed that way. After all, Erik would never rape a woman. He hadnt done such a thing. He was a ruthless man who had blood on his hands, but he did have morals.

“ I cant believe this, Jenn. For the first time in my life, I don’t know what to do”

He slunk back into his chair and put his head down. "You guys will get through this, Erik. You always do.", Jennifer said softly.

Erik managed a weak grin. They'd been through alot, but nothing ever like this. The Clawz came the closest, but that was more of a physical battle. Erik and Jaymz had raided their head quarters and destroyed them that was in a single night. That war was nothing like this one. This time the enemy seemed to always be one step ahead of them.

"I'm not so sure, Jenn...But thank you for your kind words.”, Erik said with a weak smile.

He then closed his eyes. “ Would you cancel my appointments for the day? Call Jaymz. Let him know the news. I'll be here...Thinking of a way to get us out of this.”, Erik said.

Jennifer looked at him for a few moments. Feelings came rushing over her that she'd never felt before. She'd known Erik for years and had never seen him vulnerable like this. Her eyes teared up and her face felt flushed. She nodded to Erik and left the office.

……….

Chris Chaos. This week has been full of “I know you are but what am I's”. I, quite frankly, have had enough. No more. I’m done. It is now time for things to get physical. I’ve never been one for speaking on things. Sure I warn my opponents. I do not do it to hype a match or make myself feel better. No. I do it as a warning.

You see…Far too often fighters think themselves great. They’ve beaten quite a few opponents. They get on a winning streak. They think themselves unbeatable. They lack any semblance of skill and can simply take a punch. That is you, Chris. You’ve won titles. You’ve taken down legends. But it was all due to the immense lack of skill.

Youre going up against the most dangerous man in this world..and the next. I have terrifying skills. I will be the best you’ve ever faced. Your career may be ended. Your life. Everything you know and love….could be over. At..my…whim. That is where this goes. The question isn’t “Can you beat me?”. No. It’s “Can I survive?”. Answer? No.
