He isn’t a freak, he isn’t the freak…
He is FREAK
The camera fades in on the man from the previous segment, driving in his Dodge truck. Thunderous bass, guitar, and drums submerge the cab, as the man taps on the steering wheel. Jon Davis's fiery voice sings…
Let’s get this party started, I’m sick of begging you
You make me dead inside, which I gave to you
Let’s get this party started, you make me feel inside
I want to be the one to make myself sane
The man rolls down the window, simultaneously making a crisp left turn. The music continues to flow within, and out of the truck, catching the attention of some children walking on the sidewalk. The man sticks his arm out the window, acknowledging the children as he continues down the road. He slowly approaches a school. It seems to be after regular school hours as just a few older children are shown playing basketball. The man reaches for the stereo knob and turns it down as he pulls into a space. He reaches into his console, and pulls out his phone. He sends a quick text, and places the phone back into the console. The man turns the stereo up slightly, as he sits, and waits…
So I fall face down in a rut I can’t get out of
Please wake me, please give me some of it back, the feelings I had
The man looks to his right, at the front entrance of the school. The front door opens, as a thin, short, red haired woman begins to walk down the sidewalk. She is dressed professionally, wearing a black skirt, and a white long sleeved blouse. She swings a brown briefcase in stride, and a black purse is slung over her right shoulder. The camera turns to the man, as a smile creeps onto his face. A quick glance back at the woman, and she grins as well. Her pace quickens as she approaches the truck. He clears a few papers cluttering the passenger seat and places them in the back as she opens the door and hops in. A quick kiss as she enters the vehicle, and she puts her purse and brief case on the floor board. The camera fades out as he drives away from the school.

The camera fades back in as the couple are conversing. He glides down the road, paying as close to attention as possible to the road, yet engrossed in the conversation…
… So yes, long story short, little Billy was sent home. His parents told Dr. Fredrick they were going to appeal. So, yeah…
She pauses, and lightly groans…
…fun day.
The man flashes a quick grin. The woman shifts her direction towards the man…
So, you’re day consisted of
Quickly the man speaks up...
I signed.
Only the passing wind through the open window is heard for a moment. The woman shifts back fully in her seat. Glaring out of the window. She turns her head to the man, and he looks at her as well. Simultaneously, their heads turn back towards the road ahead. The man speaks first…
It’s a one year deal, sort of a developmental thing. I start this Monday.
The woman quickly interjects…
Where?
Houston
He quickly states, as their heads both turn back, glaring through the windshield. Staring at their future ahead the man speaks up, hesitantly…
I have to. For us, for them. I promise it will be different this time.
He pulls the truck to the side of the road, and she looks at him in a somewhat disbelieved look. The two stare at each other, as he reaches for her hand. Their hands intertwine as she cracks a half smile…
O.K…
She pauses, and then swiftly moves towards him saying sternly…
But I swear, LeRoy, if…
While in mid-sentence, he reaches for her, pulling his face towards his, and the two quickly, yet passionately embrace. After the kiss the two stare for a moment into each other’s eyes. Talking, yet not speaking. The moment passes and the two return to their respective seats. He puts the truck in drive and pulls away. More calmly she asks…
Who?
The man sends her a quick glance, then eyes back on the road. He states…
Brian Braxton
She looks in his direction, in a bit of confusion. The camera fades out on the truck driving down the street as the woman again questions…
Who??
