Deja Vu
Walking into the arena in Atlantic City, a surreal feeling washed over Chris. It was this building that defined all the hard work he had put in, this building where he became a wrestling legend.
As soon as he made his way through the doors, he could swear the goosebumps could be seen from a football fields distance. His Puma tennis shoes walked on the old concrete floor, a familiar crunch from a few months ago. His duffel over his shoulder with jeans and his AX3 tee on, he opted not to make the turn to the locker room but head out towards to the ring. He made his way through the curtain and out onto the ramp. Looking around he saw all the empty seats. The light fixtures above the ring area. The old, classic sort of look. The type of feel that the old ECW used to have.
This was independent wrestling. XWF was big business, they booked big venues, and this was a bit off from the norm. But this was by far the biggest, at least to him. It meant the most. Walking down to the empty ring....it felt so surreal. There was no giant cage this time, it was just a lonely boring ring. But this lonely boring ring was going to be the lonely boring ring that defined AX3 as a stable. This ring made him, now it will make them.
Walking around the ring, he set his bag down and grabbed a mic off the announce table. Climbing the steps he got into the ring. He could hear "Let's Go Chaos, Chaos Sucks!" echoing through the arena. Visions from that night ran through his head like a movie in fast forward.

"None of you have any idea how important this building is to me. This very building is where my life and my career changed forever. This is the very building where I became---immortal. The very building where I took on 5 of this company's top superstars in a demonic structure known as the Elimination Chamber and came out holding the most precious gold this business has to offer. This is the very building where I stopped being a star and became a legend.
It is only fitting that I walk out of here with gold again.
But before you use this against me, let me clear the air about what happened on Savage. That little debacle was the screwiest screw job since Montreal. Our assholes are pinker than Brett Hart's pants were on that fateful night in 1997. But that is the past. Stacking the deck is nothing new here. I of all people should know that. I dominated that match and had it won on more than one occasion. Th kings can enjoy their little belts for the time being, because we have moved on to bigger and better things.
The tag division is looking a little loaded right now, isn't it? AX3 vs. The Kings is going to be a war that is long and drawn out and should make this summer very, very interesting. But when you look around the tag division, something sticks out like a green hat with an orange bill doesn't it? Something doesn't belong. That is "The Revival" and this man Drake. Isn't this the same Drake that wanted to fight me a few weeks ago? Wasn't this the same Drake who offered me a title shot then couldn't even hold onto the belt long enough to get to the event he challeneged me at? If that isn't a joke, I don't know what is. I mean, I'd call you a douchebag, but that would be an insult to douchebags everywhere. I cannot lose to you, not in this building, not on this night. It means too much to me. AX3 is going to take over this company, and it starts here. The first time I left Atlantic City with gold, I transcended what it meant to be a champion. This week, it is the exact same. Bet on it.
You see, Drake, I am a man of simple tastes from humble means. I am nothing but a ghetto bred beach kid from West Florida, and before Wild Card Weekend I had never been to the state of New Jersey other than when we played Rutgers for football. I had never spent any extended period of time in the "Garden State". Now, I will come back every year to visit. Hell I'd come back every month. I'd get married in this building. do you have tha kind of passion about anything?
Maybe jerking off while taking a shit, but that may be about it.
When AX3 steps through those ropes, breaths are held. People are in awe. When the Revevial steps through those ropes, people wonder where the bathrooms are. THAT is the difference. I appreciate the effort of trying, of wanting to be us and the kings, but I think you should let the big boys hash this out and go play with your hand-me-down toys in the corner. This party simply isn't for you. So when Warfare goes off the air and AX3 is holding those belts high above our heads, the EMT's will be doing everything they can. We will have our titles, they will have their AED's and stretchers but at the end of the night it won't matter.....
There will be no reviving The Revival.
Mic drop."
Chris drops the microphone with a static noise, which is amplified even more through the empty arena. He makes the belt around the waist symbol before exiting the ring and the camera's little red light turns off.
