Plasma screens litter the airport walls showing the arrival and departure times. Some people wait anxiously, awaiting their husbands, wives, son or daughter who’s been away over sea’s serving our armed forces. Protecting our great country with pride! God Bless these people. They show guts and resolve most will never have. They don’t run from explosions or gunfire. They run towards it! Never second guessing themselves. Trying to protect the innocent. Trying to save countless lives, never asking for a thank you. Doing it because it is the right thing. They each swore taking an oath to stopping evil dead in its tracks. So they leave their families behind so they can have a safe and free life here. They don’t want to leave but they have to! These are the people who so many miss for months and years on end! Others are not so lucky, they wait staring out the glass of military base Somber. Sick to their stomachs knowing what awaits them once the plane lands. Tears rolling down their eyes watching the sky for the plane carrying their son, daughter, husband or wife. Knowing once the plane lands they will be carried off the plane by their comrades. Not because they were injured. Something far worse has happened to these men and women. They died in battle. These men and women will come off that plane carried by other soldiers they had served with. Lying in a casket draped with the American Flag. These brave men and women died serving their nation. They will bring heartbreak to their families and sadness for years to come. Missing them. Some will move on others will never forget their mom or dad. One thing is for sure! They are proud of their family members who served and died. They will live on through memories, pictures and stories of when they were alive. They will watch over their family and always live in their hearts!
For others departing and arriving at the airport life to them isn’t so complicated. Some are taking their families on vacations all over the world. Others simply visiting family and friends. Business men and women dressed to impress in their suits and dresses traveling the country. These are the people who think they have it so bad. Unaware of what is truly going on around them! They talk loudly on their phones only hoping someone will give them the time of day because they’re so lonely. They often hate their lives and get sick of the traveling. One meeting to the next never stopping to take a look around and see the world for what it is. Their poor me attitude is what is wrong with this country. They do not protect anything other than their own vested interest. The sad truth is they never really have lost anything more than a few dollars because of a bad business deal gone horribly wrong! The airport is filled with all walks of life! People of every race and color! Every nation from all around the world. It’s an interesting place if you just take the time to look around and listen to what’s really going on around you. People are now lined up at the check-in counter with their oversized suitcases and baggage like they were going someplace and never coming back. Back on the far side of the terminal, there is a sculpture of a dinosaur with water cascading down its back into a small koi pond. The sound of the water trickling into the pond is almost comforting relaxing you as you watch the passers bye. With all the noise surrounding you, there is very soft classical music playing forcing its self upon you.
A younger Robert Main with plane tickets in his hands and his passport is sitting quietly looking out the window as planes land and take off. The roar of the jet engines sounds like a rocket before fading away into nothingness! He looks down for a few moments looking at his backpack and kicks it a few times with his worn out Nike shoes. In the arrivals lounge, there was a curious mixture of bored and excited people. Some of them ordering a cocktail waiting for their next fight. Others ordering food. Robert watches as the bar tenders pour various amounts of liquor into silver shakers! Lifting them high into the air shaking them for everyone within a few feet to see smiles never leaving their faces. They pour drinks into customer’s glasses and serve them like they were old friends. They banter back and forth for few moments and each goes about their business. Some people reach for the hooch to relieve stress after a long hard day on the job. Other drink it to be cool or look cool in others eyes. Then you have the ones who just cannot simply function without it! They need it to get through their day it’s a monster that will not let them go! Creeping into their thoughts. Whispering to them “you need a drink”. No matter how hard they fight. Their demons always seem to come out on top! Laughing behind their back. Draining their host until there is nothing left to give. It makes them lie to the ones they love and hurt ones closest. After all the damage when that person passes on. It follows then right into their grave. Robert looks at a few women lounging on the low comfy chairs and others bounced on their toes off the floor terribly ugly carpeted floor. He then looks at his plane ticket and reads JAPAN a few times to himself.
NOW OFF CAMERA
Robert sits in the same spot he did many years ago awaiting his plane to Japan. Back then Robert was nervous yet eager! Unsure of what he is getting into yet ready to see what Japan had to offer him! What he could learn and when he could have his first professional wrestling match the airport now feels the same but looks different. The art on the walls has changed several times over the years. The paint has also changed. The very seat he is sitting in now though is still the same! The seat made of blue plastic is still cold and hard. Unwilling to give any comfort while sitting in it. Robert looks down and sees his name still carved in that very seat. This time around he isn’t going to Japan he's holding his plane ticket firmly in his hand. He’s came into this airport several times and left it several more. But this time ticket his reads, Dallas. He’s flying into Texas a week early before his huge match at Warfare. Lethal Lottery is approaching quickly. Now more than the past he’s just ready to get there and get the fight started. There are no butterflies in his gut. He isn’t afraid of the deeming challenge that he faces. Two on one is never easy but this match it’s with killers. These guys are not armatures by any means and if given the chance they will demolish Robert. These two together have done and seen it all. Best of the best. Still, though Robert isn’t concerned with their past. He’s only concerned with their futures. Everyone on the internet and backstage has been talking about the team of Chris Chaos and Gabe Reno. Though many of the boys backstage talks a big game stating they can beat them. Deep down inside they know the truth!
They know they cannot. They know after the match they will leave on a stretcher beaten, broken and bloodied. There are some that are noble and will put up a great fight. But in the end like these two always do. They’ll find a way out and win the match and make it look easy while doing it! The odd thing about Chris Chaos and Gabe Reno is they both are so different from one another. Completely different spectrums on the color chart. Gabe is more a red to Robert. Energizing, determination, quick-tempered, fire fills his veins. Red is the color of love in most people’s eyes. Robert sees Gabe Reno as a manipulator more than anything else. Great talker, quick walker. Chris Chaos is more of a black. Hidden and very secretive, keeping things inside rather than letting them go. Hidden from most of the world. The best thing to describe Chris Chaos as the color black. Is easy. Black absorbs all other colors. Like so many times in the ring, Chris Chaos has done this to his opponents. He takes everything they have to offer him and absorbs it until its lights out. Chris Chaos is the answer everyone is trying to figure out? Like a riddle with no answer. Robert thinks of Chris as black because he shows no emotions, feeling or vulnerabilities. His insecurities unseen. Never shown. Robert needs to find that missing link. He knows Gabe Reno is very good in the ring and running his mouth as well as playing dress up like a little girl at a tea party. But Chris Chaos is something different altogether.
Phycology will tell you the color black is power and control. It not only absorbs all of the other colors but negative energy and feeds from it. Gabe presents Chris with an unlimited amount of it. It can also prevent any communication because of the intimidation factor. A salesman wearing an all-black get-up will most certainly make a lot of sales. He radiates his authority, creating fear in his process. Chris is very serious and to the point, sophisticated. All things very difficult to overcome. The surmounting odd certainly stack up against Robert here. Most people expect to see Chris Chaos and Gabe Reno in the second round. Giving Robert no shot. Who would blame them not having a partner? Robert though being a free thinker sees thinks quite differently. He thinks of himself more of a white knight in this match. Black can absorb all the other colors. But when white is added to the mixture things often change. The more white you add, the more the black begins to lighten up and turn into gray. This gray area is where Robert thinks he can not only strike but win the match. People would equate Robert winning this match to stealing. Undeserving. The biggest upset in wrestling history by far. If these two lose to Robert Main they will be known as the biggest choke artist ever seen. They will compare Chris and Gabe Reno to the Atlanta Falcons. Coming oh so close only having the door slammed shut right in their faces.
But what happens when the white starts to overtake the black or even red? Those colors disappear into the white and become white. Like snow suffocating until it blends to nothing but white. White is color at its most complete and pure, it’s truly the only color of pure perfection. The color of completion. Psychology says white is the color of new beginnings. It’s a color that stands for wiping the slate. It’s a blank canvas awaiting to be painted upon with beautiful colors revealing a piece of art. White contains equal balance of all the colors, giving way to both the positive and negative of all colors. Robert plans to use this to his advantage. He plans to go into this match and paint a picture with all the colors and in the end pinning one of these two men and moving into the next round of Lethal Lottery. It isn’t stealing if you’re painting a beautiful piece of work. Robert plans to use this broad brush. Unlike so many others Robert is the white light that will make Chris Chaos and Gabe Reno fade! The light will blind them and when the final bell rings. Robert will be standing in the middle of the ring with his hand raised in victory laughing at everyone who has ever doubted him. Including the people in the back and everyone around the world. This match is ripe for the taking!
