I have a lot of responsibilities. I’m not just a wrestler, not just the XWF Television Champion. I was born into a role that is beyond Brandon Moore and Cain. That surpasses the responsibilities of Chris Chaos, Unknown Soldier, and Doctor Louis D’Ville. As an infant, I was traded. My lovely, successful parents made the decision to sell me to the lizard people for political power. An offer that I’m sure many people would have accepted. From that moment on, I was faced with a tough role. I’m not simply an ambassador of the lizard people, I’ve had to do things that lizards can’t. They have limitations that humans simply don’t, and I have to fill the gap.
It’s interesting to think about. Many of my kin are very successful in their human forms. For the most part, they are well off economically. They have some advantages, as a race, they were able to capitalize on the American marketplace from the start of colonization. Especially when people in the US traveled out west. The lizards were some of the first people on the western front, and they capitalized significantly from the Gold Rush. As a species, they live much longer than we do. Furthermore, they have been able to create dynasties. They don’t have to start from the bottom.
But their skillset hasn’t transferred as well to the modern era. TV cameras are always rolling and important people are always on watch. A lot of my kin have had to take big steps to hide themselves from the media or even their fellow shareholders. Typically, my lizard kin can only maintain a human form for a couple hours at a time. That alone is a physically draining task, and in very rare circumstances, a lizard can be a human for longer.
That’s where I come in. I’m not inhibited like the lizard people are, and I don’t share the same concerns that they have. If I’m under immense scrutiny from anybody, I won’t be found out as a lizard because I’m not one. That’s the pressure that most lizards live with. Ever since the sixties, the government has tried to track down my people individually. And if one of them is detained, they can’t maintain their human form for long.
That means, I’ve had to do some dirty work. I’ve taken part in many stressful situations, and I’ve held the lives of thousands of lizards in my hand. I’ve dealt with high tension moments. It wasn’t something I was naturally good at, hell, I don’t think many people are born to succeed under pressure. It’s a learned skill, a talent of sorts. I’ve had to step in and do things that are game changing because I’m the only one who can.
That’s why I’m here in XWF. To make an opportunity. To change the landscape of this company and the landscape of the world around us. I’ve built a name for myself, I’ve main evented shows in big cities across the United States and I’ve defended the XWF Television Championship week after week since winning the belt.
Now, I’m in the home stretch. It’s the bottom of the ninth, and I’m called in with a one run lead. I just need a simple, clean inning to give my team the win. I just need to hold onto the gold and maintain my credibility for two more short weeks. Then, the calendar will read January 20th. A day that many people dread, but it’s a day that makes me and my people hopeful.
That day marks the end of an era and the beginning of a new administration. For the people that understand the intricacies of President Obama’s agencies, you must understand that some of their duties and powers aren’t public knowledge. Those agencies are why I’ve had to cut off communication from my kin. They’re the ones watching me and scouring for the lizard people that I’ve openly associated with it.
Once the new administration takes control, I can talk to my family again. But it’s not just that. Then I’ll be able to reach out to the world and make a plea for acceptance. There won’t be anybody holding a gun to my family’s head. Right now, I’m afraid to introduce my kin to the world in their true form. After Obama leaves office, I believe that the government will be less aggressive against my lizard friends. As a nation, we will be able to accept this intelligent species and integrate them into the modern world.
The responsibility to bring a species citizenship lands firmly on my shoulders. I still have to trek through thirteen more days to get there, which means coming out on top this Saturday night.

Thomas Nixon and Steve Sayors stand in front of a generic XWF backdrop. Nixon is in his typical casual attire, wearing a pair of dark blue jeans and a gray v-neck shirt, and his hair is slicked back. Steve Sayors wears his formal suit and tie and holds onto a microphone.
“Welcome to another XWF.com exclusive interview! As you can see, I’m here with Thomas Nixon! This weekend, he’s defending the XWF Television Championship against Cain and Brandon Moore in a three way bout!” Sayors exclaims, excitement laced into his voice.
Before Sayors can move into his rehearsed question, Nixon calmly takes the microphone from the interviewer.
“It’s always a pleasure to be here, Steve, but I have to point something out real quick. For the viewers watching this, I am technically the XWF Television Champion and I want to explain the situation a little bit, to make sure everyone is in the loop. The belt has physically been taken from me, and it is currently suspended. With that being said, I haven’t been stripped of the title. That means, I’m the champion going into the match, even though you don’t see me holding that beautiful gold belt over my shoulder right now.
I only lost one perk, when it comes to Saturday’s match. To hold on to my championship, I have to win the match or the bout has to go to a fifteen minute time limit draw. Mr. Lane isn’t happy that my last few defenses haven’t been completely decisive, so he made an impulsive decision. Although it doesn’t have a huge impact on the match, his decision is very symbolic.
He wanted to send me a message, and the message has been received. He doesn’t want me to take being champion for granted; he wants me to go into the match with something to prove. Mr. Lane, I’m going to give you exactly what you want, not just because I’m a loyal employee, but because I truly am hungry. I want to walk out with the gold around my waist. I can wrestle with the mentality of a challenger because I’m not entitled. I’m not taking anything for granted. Especially when I’m across the ring from a monster like Cain and a competitor like Brandon Moore.”
Nixon extends the microphone to Sayors. “Thank you for clarifying the title situation. More specifically, I want to hear some of your thoughts on Brandon Moore and Cain.”
“Let’s start with the Federweight Champion, Brandon Moore. He may not be a giant, like Cain, but he isn’t someone to scoff at. I’m excited to meet him in the ring this week. We battled it out in Times Square, and we put on a hell of a match. We each had our ups and downs, but we were fairly even matched. At this point, everyone knows that we pinned each other and the match was declared a draw. He’s a tough opponent. The real question isn’t about who’s the better wrestler. Now, it’s about who can adapt in the ring.
We both threw most of our arsenal at each other, so I want to see how his plan changes going into round two. It’s about who can sustain a fast pace, who can counter the other’s signature moves, and who will find a way to get the clean win. But then there’s a few other elements. In this match, there are no disqualifications.
I may have been in the ring with Brandon last week, but I didn’t get the opportunity to throw him off the apron through a table. Nor did he get the opportunity to smash a chair over my skull. That adds a whole new dimension to our match up, and I can’t wait to see what he brings to the table. I have some ideas on how he might try to unload on me, but I can’t anticipate everything. I also have some ideas for leveraging these rules to my advantage. He may be a tough guy, but we’ll see how he does when he faces a determined opponent in a match with no limitations.”
“Thomas, what is your take on Cain? Especially in regards to the no disqualification nature of a three person match?”
“Cain is scary. There’s no point in denying that. I saw Brandon Moore’s little videos, and he disparaged Cain. I don’t see the point in lying or pretending that Cain isn’t a threat because he is one, and everybody that watches the XWF knows that. Ignoring the facts is simply ignorant. He’s a monster and he dismantled Snow in his return match. I know that Snow doesn’t have the best win-loss record, but you rarely see such brutality out of a person. It wasn’t about who Cain beat, it was about the way he did it.
He’s a creature with no heart and no compassion, so I’m going to treat him that way in the ring. I’m walking into this title defense knowing that Cain isn’t going to hold anything back because he isn’t a man of moral character. If he finds lighter fluid under the ring, he will not hesitate to try and end my life or Brandon’s life. Cain is a sadistic creature and there’s no doubt that he will inflict damage during the match, but I can do everything within my power to avoid his punishment and expose his flaws.
He is focused on causing pain, which leads me to believe that he isn’t a technically sound competitor. If I can take advantage of his small mistakes, he won’t be able to toss me around the ring. Trying to be a tougher, bigger man than Cain is a mistake. For Brandon Moore’s sake, I hope he doesn’t think that he can outmatch Cain with his tough guy attitude. That’s how you end up in the emergency room. Cain is bigger and stronger than Moore, and he is much more violent. If I’m going to defeat Cain, it’s about playing it smart, so that’s what I’m going to do and I advise Brandon Moore to do the same.”
“One last quick question, word has been going around the locker room that you may be lined up to wrestle against Chris Chaos and Gabe Re-“
“Don’t waste my time, Steve. Those are just rumors now. Nothing is official. Let me focus on my scheduled title defense right now. I’m not looking past this three way match, because this is a significant bout. I don’t want to assume that winning is a foregone conclusion, that’s how mistakes are made. That’s how I pinned myself last week after hitting my signature suplex. I’m not going to mentally look past this bout until I walk out of Green Bay as the Television Champion. Ask me about Gabe and Chaos in a week, and I’ll give you a real answer. Till then, wish me the best against Cain and Moore.”
Nixon walks off the set, as the camera pans to Sayors.
“There you have it! Make sure you tune in to Savage Saturday Night to watch Thomas Nixon put the XWF Television Championship on the line against Brandon Moore and Cain!”
The scene fades to black, after Sayors signs off to the XWF fans.
