"The night after we laid our good friend to rest we walked out to the ring and honoured him by winning this."
Chris Macbeth is sat in a darkened room his hand resting on his XWF Tag Team Title Belt.
"Alfie Halliday, a life long friend, a brother, a mentor and most importantly an inspiration to myself and many others like me. He took us all under his wing and taught us many things, OK most were not what you would call legal but he gave so much and asked for little back except for respect, which he received in spades."
Chris looks towards his tag belt again.
"Hi. The sacrifice he made to ensure The Union could form was in the end heart breaking but I know he would now be looking down on me with a glint in his eye and a crooked smile knowing he had accomplished one last success in his far to short of a life. This is why both Scully and myself dedicated our wins to the man who had made it all possible, How could we not."
A slight smile crosses Chris' face.
"Honouring Alfie does not end there though, it will continue until my final day when I will again meet the great man and be able to stand tall and proud knowing I had fulfilled the potential he had always seen in me.
"The next step in proving to myself and the world that I can continue to honour the great mans life is coming up next week on Warfare...
It is time for the next round for Macbeth v Gilmour. The first time round many years ago I was the one who came out victorious, then not long after my return there was another match, a match where myself and Gilmour both shines bright but unfortunately it wasn't my night and Peter earned himself the shot at the XWF's now owner Vinnie Lanes Universal Title.
This however is the third round and the stake hash never been higher in my intermittent career within this business, at least in my singles career. This time Peter Gilmour's Hart Championship is on the line, my first solo gold could be just around the corner...
Is just around the corner...
I am going to take it from him for myself, for The Union and for Halliday."
Chris gets up from his chair and walks towards the door but does not exit the room, he reaches out and switches on the light switch before reaching into his pocket and pulls out his phone and turns off the music before removing his earphones letting them dangle and twist over his chest.
With the lights on we can now see that Chris is stood in an empty pub. He walks behind the bar and reaches up for a glass which is resting on the shelf above and pours himself a cold beer. He heads back to the other side of the bar and out the front door walking out into the street. Looking left and right for traffic he walks out into the road and turns and looks up at the building he had just exited having a swig of his beer.
"This is Camden Town, this is home.
He looks up into the cold evening sky.
"I hope you like what I have done with the place."
The camera pans around towards the pub, a very recognisable pub. This was the pub that Halliday had once owned and only a few days ago Chris had been invited to his friends will reading and was surprised to find that Alfie had left him this place on one condition, He must keep his head up, chest out and always move forward. He was even allowed to change the name. So he did...

A few days later...
Chris, Ted and Dave are sat in the busy Union Inn. Alfie's widow Monika was behind the bar pulling pints for the customers, she loved working behind the bar when this was Halliday's so Chris would let her come in whenever she wanted so she could continue doing what she loved and catch up with the locals. For a pub formally owned by a crime lord and now a professional wrestler the place was inundated with flowers. None of these were put here by the design of Chris but were well wishes for Monika, everyone loved Alfie and in turn they all loved the woman whom made him happy. Chris could see that she was struggling to hold back her emotions but the smile still beamed and lit the whole place up.
"Hi boys." She said over the sound of the busy pub. Ted spoke back, well I say spoke, it was more of a "Flubbalubb." Yeah it was just a noise really.
Dave gives Ted a slap around the back of the head and smiles back at the approaching Monika. As she reached the table she put a hand on my shoulder.
"Thank you for this Chris, I am going to miss this place."
I reassured her that she was always welcome and she gave us all a hug that made Ted blush then collected the empty glasses from our table and began to walk back to the bar, she stopped briefly and half turned back to us...
"He'd be proud of you, you know that right?"
She smiled and I returned the gesture before she continued to the bar where she began pouring pints. "I think she was talking about us! I heard Dave say to Ted as I had a swig of my beer, my Hart a championship match playing on my mind...
It would be a difficult challenge but one that despite my humble demeanour lately it is still a challenge I am confident of over coming and using all my strength's and understanding my weaknesses fully it will see me through.
Peter Gilmour has recently aligned himself in a group that by all accounts wants to be where there Union are now, I wonder if they will try to get involved in the match up in some way. I mean as group trying to reach the level of myself, Scully and our currently absent friend Tush, it would not be a good start, dropping there only gold to The Union who would then hold the Tag Team Championships and the Hart Championship and The Resistance holding nothing. Staying humble I don't believe it is in Gilmour's character to ask or even want help but you never can be to sure so I must stay on guard throughout but if Makavelli or Dim or whoever want to get involved It won't be only Peter Gilmour that'll know he has been in a match of all matches.
I am ready.
There are fingers clicking in front of my face!
"Heeellllloooo, wakey wakey!"
I turn to Ted who finally distracted my thoughts from the match.
"And he's back in the room."
The night was coming to the end and The Union Inn was beginning to empty, The three guys were still sat in at the corner table drinking away there pints replaced with a bottle of whisky and three short glasses.
The final customer leaves and Monika said her goodbyes, Chris gets to his feet and gives her a hug.
"Go get em Champ."
She smiles and releases her grip and turns and walks out into the streets of Camden Town. Chris locks the door behind her and heads back to the table and to the definitely a little drunk Ted and Dave.
"Hey, we should go out tonight!"
"Oh yeah, as if Mr Tag Team and soon to be Hart champion is going to want to do that Dave."
Dave looks towards Chris who shrugs his shoulders and pours himself another glass of Whisky.
"You wanna go out huh?"
Dave and Ted's eyes light up.
"Go on then, I'm however am not going out."
"What the fuck!"
Macbeth points past Ted to the wall above the bar and a sign that reads, Please be mindful of your language in front of children.
"What there are no ki..."
Macbeth nods towards Dave who is distracted trying to build a castle with beer coasters.
"Ha, good point."
A short while later...
Ted and Dave eventually did decide to go out without me but I wasn't being completely honest about not wanting to go out but I just wanted my own space. I shove my hands into my pockets as I stand on Wembley way looking up to the famous stadium and arch.
Nowadays I would normally get a cab to take me where ever I wanted to go around the city but tonight I decided to take the tube here. I had forgotten the joys of taking the tube, the many stations and trains you visit and take respectively on route to where you need to go could introduce you to some of the most strangest but also creative people you would ever meet. Buskers initiating unexpected singalong's to carriages full of commuters, dancers on the platforms for waiting passengers, artists making perspective chalk drawings on the Floors outside of the stations. There really is some very talented People in this world just waiting to be discovered.
That is something about the UK, it is full of talented people, talented people who have for a longtime been ignored by the rest of the world but the times are changing, the Brits are slowly taking over. Actors such as Henry Cavill, Christian Bale both Brits and have recently been given leading roles in big Hollywood movies as traditionally American characters, why? Because the world of Hollywood can no longer ignore the talents coming from this part of the world.
It is now The Union who is beginning to do something to change the fortunes of the Brits within the XWF. Forcing the XWF Universe to stand up and notice.
Without even noticing I had walked right up to the stadium and around to the statute of England football legend and World Cup winning Captain, Bobby Moore.
In 1966 Bobby lead the England team to the only FIFA World Cup the country the created the game had ever won, and he did it in this very stadium, well the old stadium that was demolished and replaced with this shiny new one. It was an event before my time but I remember the stories that Alfie had told me about the aftermath of that famous victory, there was dancing in the streets, a party in every house, pub and ballroom in the country. When Bobby lifted that trophy above his head while being held on the shoulders of his teammates everyone in the country new they wouldn't be going into work the next day, the only business' open were the places where the fine taste of alcohol was available. I visualise myself stood in the ring holding the Hart Title above my head.
