Greetings XWF Universe, My name is Steve Stajan and I am the future of this company. I was born in Preston, Iowa on April 28th, 1991. That makes me 23 going on 24 soon. I was trained by Barney Green in the Green Wrestling Academy in Boston, MA. I spent nine long months in that Academy doing things from learning moves to cleaning Green's car to going on beer runs for him. It's all been worth it. I get to make the debut in the place that Green cut his teeth in and its an honor. The place that turned Barney Green into a World Champion.
Its my time to shine and I am gonna make him proud in this Bar Room Brawl against Tommy Gunn. I can brawl just as well as Green could in his heyday and I feel the strength from my days as a college basketball player. I went to the University of Louisville on a scholarship and graduated with a degree in Communications and wound up not getting drafted by the NBA so when one door closed, I kicked open another door. I had been a lifelong fan of pro wrestling and decided that as my next career. Wound up having to relocate to Boston and got trained by one of the greats this business has ever seen. I am entering my first exhibition match and it's the match that Green was most famous for. The Bar Room Brawl. Talk about having some big shoes to fill but I can fill it hopefully.
No fear in these eyes, Gunn. You can threaten me all you want but your not gonna stop me and I am gonna keep getting back up. I have seen more intimidating things in my life. You can knock my mentor all you want and I have my eyes set on the big prize. You will be just a speed bump in my way to greatness. I will show you what a true star can do in the ring.
You think you are tough with your cursing, huh? The more you curse, The less intelligent you sound. You will learn who Steve Stajan is when we lock up. Get ready for the Bar Room Brawl from hell with me.
The scene opens up inside of a house in Preston, Iowa. The Stajan family house where we see Steve Stajan, dressed in a black t-shirt with blue shorts and black sneakers, sitting down on a lime green couch in a lime-green living room and he is watching TV. Around him is a bunch of awards and photos from his college days. In walks Jerry Stajan, The father of Steve. Jerry, dressed in a black blazer with black khakis and white undershirt, goes to speak.
Jerry: I wish you luck, son. I know you will do us proud. Represent Preston with pride. I never thought I would see the day where a Stajan wouldn't continue into the family business. I am proud of what you have accomplished so far and hope to see you make something out of your life. Basketball didn't work out. If all else fails in wrestling, You always have a spot in my company.
Steve: I appreciate that, Dad. I just feel I need to branch out and do my own thing in life if that makes sense instead of just being known as "Jerry's Kid". No offense. You have busted your ass off and worked hard to get what we have but the business didn't appeal to me.
Steve pauses as Jerry goes to speak.
Jerry: I respect that. You have the right to do what your heart feels is right. Just be prepared to travel a lot. It's gonna be a bit rough on your body but you should be able to handle it.
Steve: I will do my best and give wrestling everything I have. I gotta head back out in a day to get out to Indiana and meet up with Barney who is gonna help get me prepared for this match.
Jerry: Just be careful out there. The big cities can eat you alive if you aren't careful. Trust me, as a businessman, I know that firsthand. Watch your back or you will get hurt.
Jerry pauses as Steve goes to speak.
Steve: I appreciate the advice, Dad. I'm just excited about the fact I get to wrestle in front of an audience. I feel confident in my abilities and won't back down. Now, Let's get something to eat.
Jerry: Good idea, Son. Where do you want to go?
The scene fades to black as Jerry and Steve continue talking.
