Duncan arrives at an old gym and is greeted by the owner.

"Welcome Duncan. I am Morgan Van Loom. Owner of the Van Loom fighting gym. Please feel free to train here whenever your in the area. Your master phoned ahead and asked me to set up some opponents for you to spar with. He also said that in the event of an unimpressive performance I am to shoot you in the skull. Please come this way"

Duncan grumbles as Morgan leads him through to a sparring area were three men are standing.

"Duncan, I would like you to meet your sparring buddies"

The smallest of the three men was a skinny man wearing boxing shorts. He was middle aged and had stubble and little hair on his hair. The one next to him was a fat black man in a tight white shirt and shorts. The final man was a tall man with hard features. He had the look of a killer in his eyes.

"Please step forward, Colin Tindall" said Morgan

The smallest of the men steps into the ring and squares up to Duncan. the bell rings and Duncan grabs the small man and powerbombs him into the mat. The mans neck compresses and he lets out a small shriek. Two men come and drag Colin out of the ring.

"Please step forward, Robbie Jets"

The fat black man steps into the ring. He gulps as he squares up to Duncan. Again the bell rings and Robbie throws a punch at Duncan. Duncan grabs his arm and drops him into the Mortal Engine. Robbie screams for his life and taps.

"Duncan, do not let go of that hold."

Duncan keeps the hold in as blood starts to run from Robbie's mouth and ears, Robbie eventually passes out and Duncan finally relinquishes the hold. The two men come back and drag Robbie out of the ring.

"Your final opponent Duncan. He will not be so easy. He is wanted in Albania for killing six men in a bar fight. He is Stanislav Pelmov. Please step forward."

The tall man confidently steps into the ring opposite Duncan. He nods at Duncan. The bell rings and Stan grabs Duncan and throws him across the ring. Duncan gets back up and strikes him several times. Stan does not move. He grabs Duncan by the neck and starts to choke him. Duncan struggles for a minute before raking the eye. Stan lets go and Duncan steps back and hits a low blow. Stan doubles over in pain and Duncan grabs him and hits the Eye of the Pyramid. The two men come back and drag Stan out of the ring. Morgan comes across to the ring.

"Ha! maybe I chose to easy an opponent for you. Please feel free to work out until your match is ready."

"Thank you Morgan. I'll do just that."
