(scene opens with a high shot over a four way intersection somewhere in canada)
(we see Ben Crane's A-Team van roll into frame)
(Crane stops the van, gets out, and begins to walk towards the middle of the intersection)
(he gets to the middle and then sits down indian style)
(then we cut to a secondary camera on the ground in front of Crane)
Crane: The Blackest Night falls from the skies, the darkness grows and all light dies. (sigh) I had hoped it wouldn't come to this but it seems the time of Blackest Night has fallen upon the XWF and I am to be its Black Hand.
As you can tell, my prime has come and gone and I'm on the back 9 of my career. Physically, my best days are behind me. As much as I didn't want to, I'm afraid I need to bring out my darkness to get me to that next level.
But my will is strong. And Bryan King can testify to what it is to be engulfed by my darkness. What has brought this on, you ask? Because usually, I like to show up and teach a lesson to my opponent. To impart knowledge as only The Monolith can. It's the fact that this coming Wednesday I have an opportunity to become the number one contender for the United States Title. And in the past few weeks, I have already let two chances to become champion slip through my hands. I can not keep coming up short. I don't have the time. In this business when you get an opportunity, you HAVE to take it because I know all too well, that those opportunities won't necessarily be there next time.
So, here it is, Warfare, Fatal 4 Way, winner gets a US Title shot. Who stands in the way of my quest? Well, there's Team Crimson who won a tag match against me two weeks ago. However, Cassius Stonne won't be in this match to job for you. No, no. Rest assured, after the battle is done and the smoke clears, Crimson will not be the color of the day. It will be black.
In all honesty, what is going to happen Wednesday is that the two of you are only going to caught up in the tornado that is Duke/Crane. If it were elimination, I think I can speak for Duke by saying we would quickly dispose of you just so we could finally have our rubber match. It's 1-1, Duke. I beat you the first time, you beat me the last. And remember I told you that I got the feeling we were destined to do this forever. Well, here we again. In only two matches, we've managed to make one of, if not the best fueds in XWF. Now it can only escalate considering there's something at stake other than pride this time. A title shot. We were both in the US Title tournament and I sincerely hoped it would have been the two of us at the end but it didn't happen. Here we are, our two lines intersecting once again. So, the question becomes, do we form an alliance and take out Team Crimson early or do we just lock it up and go at it as only we can bell to bell?
Either way, it's gonna be four individuals on four different paths colliding in the middle of the ring. And only one of us can come out with a title shot. Crimsons, I know you want that shot as much as Duke or myself but for you own good, you best stay out of our way. Because whether you are there or not, Duke and I have unfinished business. We have one more epic portrait to paint. And while you are more than worthy to be a champion here, my time is running out and it's becoming more and more urgent that I grab that brass ring before it's over. Speaking of rings.....
(Crane stands up, reaches in his pocket and pulls out a black ring)
(he puts it on, walks over and grabs the camera lens and puts his hand with the ring on it in front of it)
Crane: FADE...TO....BLACK!
