From what we've seen from Lexi Sheckler in just under twenty-four hours, some may gather that she's the epitome of golden-hearted. Soft-spotted for people with emotional troubles, and ready and willing to help all those in need. You might even call her a hero in the modern day - not many people are so selfless in the sense that all other forms of humanity are put in front of her own needs. The fact that she's never ever been face to face with John Black speaks volumes with regards to the fact that she's eager to motivate him...really give him that incentive to want to win. Maybe when she's finished with professional wrestling once and for all, she might find a career in motivational speaking! John Black, through his tough facade, Lexi could see a man silently begging for hope. Silently begging to move up and through the company to compete with the likes of it's top talent. Unfortunately, the opening match on their hit Saturday show certainly isn't the way to do this - but with Lexi Sheckler in the other corner, who knows what could happen?

The woman was not doubting her own abilities, but maybe in her heart, deep down, she wanted to throw the match for this guy. Forfeit it. Make herself look weak so that in John Black's heart he could feel the celebration and total, utter joy that accompanies a big win. Setting the bar, as Lexi called it. Mother Theresa always said that being selfless and doing good always came back ten-fold. If you want good to enter your life, you must put good out in the universe. If you want money, give money. If you want happiness, exude total happiness every day of your life. Be thankful, remember the basic principles of gratitude... Simply by this law of attraction alone, if Lexi wanted to feel the feeling of winning, she had to find a way to let other people feel this. Sometimes in this industry, you need that perk in your day to let you know that this is what you were created to do.

Although the match between John Black and herself was heavily hanging on her mind, it was not on the top of her priority list for this special Saturday morning. It was only 9:30 in the morning, the sky was flawlessly blue, and the sun was beating down trying to offer a small sliver of warmth to all those suffering from the cold winter months. A few miles away from the hotel housing Sheckler until the end of tonight's show was a children's youth centre. During the day, the youth centre has a daycare facility that promises to offer the best child care in the country. With this, comes responsibilities of keeping children dry, happy, laughing and occupied for the dreaded 9-5's their busy parental units are working. But today at the youth centre, Miss Layla had a surprise for the children! Miss Layla had been the primary caregiver at the facility for something like seven years now, and you could blatantly tell that she was put on this earth with the unconditional patience required to handle children. This morning, Lexi Sheckler was personally invited to read a story to the children at the youth centre, and with the biggest smile possible on her beautiful face, she happily obliged.

When she walked in, she was immediately greeted by Miss Layla, who took her jacket and hung it up with the others.

"I'm so happy you're here! The kids are ecstatic. I can't wait for you to meet them."

"I'm just...so thrilled."

"They've been warned to be on their best behaviour today - or else! I picked out a really great story for you, too, one of my personal favourites."

"Well what are you waiting for? Let me at them!"

Layla giggled in a pitch that was more than likely unidentified by any musician. She grabbed Lexi by the arm and both ladies were all smiles. When Lexi approached the room, the children laughed and cheered and made silly faces. All of this brought an unexplainable feeling of warmth pulsing through Lexi's chest. She bent down to give all of them hugs - not that they could see that an XWF star was gracing them with her presence, but it was still a joyous occasion nonetheless.

"Settle down boys and girls, give Miss Lexi room to breathe! What a warm welcome though, guys. You did really well."

The uproar of excitement was almost exhausting just watching the kids jump around and converse amongst themselves, almost in an entirely different language.

"I need you guys to sit nicely now, and be quiet like little mice! Or else we won't be able to hear Miss Lexi read the story!"

The kids sat on the carpet beneath them, all crowded in a circle around her. She was nervous, she had never been in front of a large audience of children before. Large audiences on a regular basis were nothing - she did this for a living. Only this time she felt like she was being scrutinized and watched carefully. Almost too carefully. Layla handed her the book that she was going to be reading to the children and she looked down at it, tilting her head slightly...

"Round Bird Can't Fly"

She sighed, flipping through the pages and skimming it when a little girl tugged at the leg of her pants.

"Miss Lexi! Don't flip through it, you'll spoil the ending! Read it from the start!"

Lexi smiled down at her and nodded, flipping back to the beginning of the book. She looked behind her shoulder, where Miss Layla was standing.

"Are they, uh...always this demanding?"

Layla patted her on the shoulder, confidently.

"You get used to it."

Lexi cleared her throat, opening the first few pages of the book. She looked down at the children who, in turn, were all eagerly looking upwards at her, all smiles.

"This story is called, "Round Bird Can't Fly"...By Lea MacAndrews."

There was an awkward, unflowing pause in which Lexi shifted in her seat.

"Round Bird is not like other birds. He has a big round body with little wings. He cannot fly but he wants to play with the other birds more than anything. Every day and in many ways, he tries to fly. Then he tries again."

She flips the page.

"But nothing worked. Then he thought it might be better to use the tree. Round Bird is determined to fly.

She flips the page again, slightly confused as to why Lea MacAndrews couldn't fit more font on one page. This would save an immense amount of time for her future literary works.

"It is very hard for a little bird to do, but he climbs the tree! He sits on a branch and takes a deep breath before...HE JUMPS! And flaps his wings.

When she yelled, the kids jumped and laughed and giggled along with her.

"And flaps some more, but they don't work! Good thing he made sure there was a pile of leaves. He scrambles out of the leaves and sits and thinks a bit...

She flips the page.

"Atop his perch, Round Bird sits and thinks...He now knows that even though he wishes hard and tries hard too, there are just some things some birds aren't meant to do...The challenge for Round Bird, then, is to find those special things that only special birds can do."

She silently closes the book as the children cheer. Miss Layla claps along with the children and crouches down next to the chair Lexi was sitting in.

"Well? What did the Round Bird learn, you guys?"

All of the children at once raised their hands in the air, as high as they could possibly go. Some of the children even leaned to one side, hoping that they would be called upon just because their hand was the highest. Layla called on the very first girl who tugged Lexi's pants.

"Um, Round Birdy learned that he can't fly because he's different. But there's other things that Round Birdy is good at that maybe the other birds can't do."

"That's right, Deanna. But do you guys want to know a secret? We are all Round Birds. We all have a special talent that we are able to do. And we should focus on that instead of getting upset when we find something we are not so good at. Miss Lexi is a Round Bird too! She has a very, very special talent that none of us here in the room can do!"

"Round Bird is my hero!"

"Miss Lexi is my hero!"

"Aww, thanks little guy".

Lexi smirked down at the boy who flushed pink in the cheeks before toussling his hair.

"Okay boys and girls, can we all say goodbye and thank you to Miss Lexi for coming in today?"

"Bye Miss Lexi!"

"Thank you Miss Lexi!"

She waved and smiled sweetly before Layla took her by the arm again, guiding her out and handing her her coat.

"That was great, Lex! Thank you. You did good for a first timer!"

"Just a different crowd from what I'm used to, I guess!"

"Oh I don't doubt it. Take care, see you soon! Don't be a stranger."

"For sure. Call me!"

Layla nodded as she quickly scurried back to her classroom. Lexi threw her jacket on and shuffled her pockets for a small pack of Exports. Feeling the brisk air on the outside of the youth centre, she sighed, slipping the slim stick of sweet nicotine between her lips. She lit it at an angle that was contradictory to the wind and turned back towards the camera.

"Just a few more hours."

She began walking towards her car, twirling the keys around her fingers as the scene faded to a black screen.
