Alexandra rode her motorcycle out of the compound, just down the road to the restaurant. Slipping off her motorcycle, she smiled, running over into the arms of her uncle when he walked towards her. For months he had been in and out of the hospital battling cancer. He seemed to be responding well to the treatments and she was beyond happy. She kept her arms around him, the smell of leather permeating her nose.



He pulled her upright, smiling at her. The two laughed for a few moments before she began to speak softly.

"I'm so glad to see you up and moving. You are looking well Uncle Bill."

"Same could be said for you. It seems as if you took your break up with that Nova kid rather well."

"Well, yeah, I suppose you could say that. I've met someone. Someone who reminds me of the kind of person I want to be in life. He's opened my eyes to so many wonderful things. He challenges me, he cares for me, he sacrificed himself for me and we are bonded together."

Alexandra showed her uncle the scar on her hand.

"Are you speaking of that gentleman that suffered with you on Warfare?"

"Yes."

"He seems like a fine lad. Human.. real.. Honest. A gentleman. The kind of man that we would be proud to see you with. So tell me Princess, do you like him? Do you see yourself with him?"

"I know Uncle. Yes. I do like him, a lot honestly. I do see myself with him. He makes me happy. So very happy."

"Then you make it work. I see you even won a title."

"I did. But it was only one, and I didn't hold it that long."

"I'm sure there will be others."

"Oh, no doubt."

She smiled at him and they went to sit on their motorcycles, talking. She turned towards him, mainly just leaning against hers, not really feeling like doing much. She had a match on Wednesday to prepare for. Her kids where here now, and they were safe.

"Oh Ashlynn and Thomas are here now. They are staying with me at my new place."

"That's wonderful. If you should ever need your aunt and I to watch them, just let us know. There's more than enough room at our home. They will be safe there."

"I know. Would you mind taking them on night's when I am booked to compete? That way they aren't backstage and I don't have to worry about people trying to use them against me. I know you'll put a bullet through the head of anyone who tries."

"Damn right I will."

Alexandra laughs softly, as does her Uncle. She hadn't seen him so bright and chipper since before the diagnosis. She was happy, safe, loved, and so full of hope for the future and what it could bring her way. Since David came into her life, she felt a renewed passion, a strength she never felt before. It's as if some unseen and unknown force drove her to new heights.

"I have a match this week against someone who considers me a friend. John Austin. He dates my friend Christine."

"So it's going to be a tough situation."

"Not really, it will just be two friends locking up in the center of the ring. Don't worry uncle, I've got this."

The two laugh and the scene fades out.
