The scene opens in the locker rooms of the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. XWF's Monday Night Madness is starting in a few hours. People are walking around getting ready for a great show tonight. Tables of food are being laid out so that Paul Heyman can fill his big mouth. The cameras pan to the XWF wrestler locker rooms. A red-haired woman walks into the locker room. It's Liz Weinberg and she is looking for someone.
In front of her, facing his locker is Jonny Rebel. With his back to the camera, Liz can see the scars of his previous life on his back. Two gunshot wounds, healed as much as possible by time, sit just below Jonny's USMC tattoo.
Liz gasps a little, giving away her presence. Jonny turns his head and looks at her. He grabs his shirt and spins around. The front of his chest has the entry scars of the bullets. Liz watches as Jonny puts on his new shirt, with the saying "Murican Rebel" on it. He sits down in a chair.

Can I help you Liz?

Um......I just had some questions for you Jonny. Not a whole lot is known about you and you already seem to have made more enemies then friends. Most of the guys in the back don't really like you.

Jonny grins and looks down to his wrist. He wraps tape around them.

I honestly don't care what the "guys in the back" think. I'm not here to make friends. I don't want to sit around Eli James's fire, drinking his kool-aid and singing Kumbaya. I don't want to be "connected" to that train wreck of a group, The Connection. It's bad enough listening to Morrison whine about being a storm and how he can't find someone to love him in his promos. You want the truth as to why Ricky quit? He couldn't handle the whining from Morrison.
Anyways, I'm off topic. I don't care what people think about me. I'm hear to beat people up, win titles and make a name. For the time being, I'm fine with everyone underestimating me. They won't be doing it for long, I promise that.

I understand that completely Jonny. But it probably isn't the smartest thing to make fun of Eli and his family.
Lets see thought....what about your life before wrestling? Where did you come from?

Oh, what do you mean? You want me to tell you I'm an alien? Or maybe a time traveler? I didn't believe in that garbage until I got to XWF. I've seen some pretty strange thing, but for me? I'm a normal human being. A living, breathing, bleeding red, white and blue, human being. Now, when I get mad, it might seem like I have climbed straight out of hell.

No, I was born in Washington, D.C. My dad was a plumber and my mom was a whore. I didn't know her. She left my dad after I was born. I went to elementary school where I was one of three white kids. So I had to fight a lot. I played football and basketball. I was great at football, but being the white guy I am, I wasn't great at basketball. I'm athletic, but I got no hops.
Anyways, my dad and I moved to West Virginia when I was 12. I went to school there and found my passion for guns. Hunting, skeet shooting, you name it, I was good at it. I lettered in football until 11th grade. Then shit went down hill. My girlfriend moved out to Ohio. That sucked. Well, being a teenager and thinking I know it all, my dad and I started fighting over everything. He wanted me to go to college and make something of myself. Whatever! I was dead set of getting to Ohio to be with my girl. One night, my dad was drinking and we were arguing. I said stuff I shouldn't have and so did he. He tried to hit me and I moved and hit him. My dad always told me that if I ever hit him, I was gone. So I left home at 16 years old.

I had a friend drive me as far as he could, which was the Ohio- West Virginia boarder. So I hitch-hiked. A old man in a semi picked me up. His name was Roy and he was an ex-marine. We talked about the military and life. He was the one that got me interested in the Marines. So I get to Cincinnati. I stayed with my girlfriend and her family until I finished high school. Even before I graduated, I had enlisted in the military. I chose the Marine Corp. My girlfriend wasn't thrilled. She wanted me to go to college as well. That shit wasn't for me. I'm a fighter, not a book worm. I believe in street smarts over book smarts any day. So we broke up as I got on the plane to boot camp at Parris Island in South Carolina.

The camera man taps Liz on the shoulder and points to his watch. She shirks a little and gets up from the chair that she sat in. Jonny stands as well.

We will definitely finish this later, Jonny. Madness is about to start and you have an important match.

Yeah, it gets more interesting. Those scars you were eyeballing, I'll let you know how I got them next time. For now, I'm going to go whoop Hunter Payne's ass.
Hopefully he asked for permission to fight tonight.

Liz snickers a bit as the scene fades with Jonny closing the locker room door.
