Outside the royal Shakespeare theatre there is a line-up of fans and media personnel in front of a small stage where a podium is stationed. Shark emerges and begins to limp towards the podium, the XWF Universal Championship around his right shoulder, an accomplishment that felt surreal. The magnitude of his victory had not kicked in yet, maybe because the real battle was still out there.

First of all, I wanna go ahead and shout out Adayemi right quick. I stand by everything I said in the build-up to our match but at the end of the day that dude put up one helluva fight tonight. There’s a saying about bringing the Dog out. Well I had to bring the Shark out. I was ready to bite that motherfucker’s face off. I had to channel a different type of energy to beat him. He brought the best out of me and then some. I gotta respect that. No matter how I feel about dude, two motherfuckers that came from the bottom of the bottom shined tonight. They said we would never make it anywhere, never amount to anything, that all we would be was just another statistic. Here’s a statistic for you - two street kids from Brooklyn, New York grew up to defy the odds, prove folks wrong and main evented a sold out, premium live event tonight, in the greatest wrestling company in the world. As far as I see it, the streets won tonight. Any young kids that are struggling or looking for a way out of the hood can look at us and tell themselves they got a chance to make it big.

But that’s not why I called for this press conference. I’m not here to talk about the match - I’m not here to talk about this Championship. Y’all can hear about all that later. Right now we need to focus on the bullshit that’s been goin’ on.

Shark slowly takes off his glasses, the bruising on his face more visible now along with a swollen eye. He takes a deep breath.

I never got the chance to talk about it with the media or fans because my lawyer advised against it, but now that she’s gone - we can talk.

Look behind me. What do you see? A bunch of fat pigs that couldn’t run half a block without getting out of breath. Yet these are the people that are supposed to catch me because the courts think I’m going to run? Run where? I ain’t goin’ nowhere without my daughter.

I keep hearing that this is all about justice. Justice for who? It ain’t for Kaydence, that’s for damn sure. She was happy to see me, she wouldn’t stop crying when I had to take her back to her Mother, y’all understand that? Would not stop. So what the hell are we doing here? Are we trying to give justice to my ex-wife?

She violated her OWN restraining order by coming to see me. If her simp of a husband wants to ask her about that I’m sure she’ll be as open and honest as she was when she was sneaking around, right? I want her to keep the same energy when she’s under oath in the courtroom.

The court has already slapped an ankle monitor on me so what’s the need of these morons behind me? Because of this ankle monitor, I couldn’t enjoy England before my match. They had me cooped up in some dinky ass hotel the whole time. Now instead of celebrating this big win with the fans, it’s back to Vegas for me where they’ll have me locked in the confines of my own home. Why? Why when there are child molesters and rapists that walk the street freely every day? I didn't kill no one, rob no one, hurt no one. No. The only thing I’m guilty for is trying to be a goddamn Father.

I didn’t have no Father growing up. I didn’t have someone there to show me the ropes. No examples of how or what a good Father should be like. This is a lesson I’m still learning every day but I’m trying. A sweaty arm pitted, neckbeard wearing a robe and slamming a gavel every 10 seconds isn’t going to stop me from trying.

This circus show of a courtroom has brought you the best storytellers, witness after witness to paint a negative picture of me. Witnesses that barely know who the fuck I am. Witnesses that are just looking to drop some spicy lines for the cameras. Truth is, if this case wasn’t televised, none of these witnesses would even be there.

Now I know I ain’t had the best relationship with y’all. It’s always been love and hate - and honestly, hate more than love - BUT I know for a fact y’all can see the injustice that’s goin’ on here. The American justice system is trying to take a Father away from his daughter and a Champion away from its sport. They are trying to lock up YOUR Champion. They are doing it with smoke and mirrors, exaggerating events, and insulting your intelligence.

All my career, I've never once asked y’all for shit. Cheer me, boo me, it never mattered. But now it matters. Now I’m asking. I’ve fought this for as hard as I could, but I ain’t gonna win - not alone. All I ask, is that y’all speak up for this injustice. Stand up and speak out. That’s all...
