Andy Cortinovis and Charles Nichols...talk about two very different roads leading to the same destination.
Two very different roads….leading to the same valley beneath the peak of the mountain.
Two very different roads….leading to the same match on Wednesday night.
I drive my beat-up buick down those Steubenville roads covered in potholes and dirty needles. Andy drives his expensive escalade up and down those smooth Atlantic City streets. I suffered setback after setback for some fifteen odd years inside that ring while Andy was cruising past the competition and becoming an icon. Andy was winning championship belts and earning cash bonuses while I was floundering in the indies and sleeping in my hoopty.
I thought I was never going to make it, while Andy thought he was never going to lose it.
Looks like we were both wrong.
