Losses, gains, and toys

Time: Around lunchtime
Date: Unconfirmed
Location: Somewhere outside in a heavily populated metro area

Earlier this week when it was announced that the European title would be on the line in the already existing X-Treme title match, there was also an announcement that the two champions in the match - Dean McGovern and CM Punk - would have their choice of TEN WEAPONS each that they can bring into the match. This was referred to as the “champion's advantage” due to the fact that Chris Legend would only be permitted five weapons as a non-XWF title holder. That doesn't mean Chris Legend is coming to this fight without a title belt; it just means the title belt he's bringing isn't an official XWF championship.

Many people have been speculating as to the intentions of Guest GM Lawson by allowing so many weapons to be accumulated in the same match, at the same time, by three men who would likely rip each other limb from limb if it meant getting what they want. Ten weapons per champion plus another five weapons being brought by Chris Legend?

THAT'S TWENTY FIVE WEAPONS - and that's not even counting items like chairs, ring bells, hammers and other miscellaneous items that can always be found around ringside or under the ring for every match. This could easily turn into the most violent and horrific match in XWF history depending on just what kinds of weapons are introduced and how they're used.

THAT'S THREE MEN DETERMINED TO HURT EACH OTHER - and that's not even taking into consideration the personal shots these men have taken at one another as of late. The severity of the risk involved in this match alone is enough to motivate these men to new heights of violence that they perhaps never previously embarked on. These men NEED to pulverize each other just to have a small hope of surviving.

THAT'S TWO XWF CHAMPIONSHIPS ON THE LINE - and that's not even counting the gold and diamond Legendary title belt that Chris Legend paid to have custom made; it's on the line too and it's worth a PRETTY PENNY. The winner of this match will not only have survived the brutality of over two dozen weapons being used in the match, but will also be leaving with THREE TITLES: The X-Treme title, European title, and the unofficial Legendary title.

THAT'S $140,000 IN COLD, HARD, CASH - and that's not even counting the winner's purse that the XWF will be paying the victor...and that's not even counting the extra perks and bonuses that being a multiple-champion will bring the man who emerges triumphant on this night. Chris Legend was the first to put his money where his mouth is with his own $20,000 followed by Dean McGovern putting up another $20,000 and CM Punk attempting to REALLY prove something by putting...ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS on the line in this match.

Never in recent memory has so much been on the line in just one match. GM Lawson certainly has his work cut out for him when it comes to the fine print and all the legalities involving three human bodies being put at such high risk. This could be evidence of his inexperience in the wrestling business because while it always SOUNDS good to throw more and more into a single match, making it hugely dangerous and competitive...but what happens the following week when all three of the wrestlers in that match are too hurt to compete again? How long will it be before we see the likes of Chris Legend, CM Punk, or Dean McGovern compete in an XWF ring after the toll this match will undoubtedly take on their bodies and minds? To emerge as the successful and new double XWF champion would be comparable to having to walk through the fires of hell while doused in gasoline. To emerge as one of the two losers at the end of this match would be comparable to being put up in front of a firing squad because you are about ready to be buried and forgotten.

What will these men endure in the possible face of a loss tonight? Imagine being any one of them; CM Punk for instance...the man would have nothing left after failing to defend his European title on his first attempt. He'd think back about how this match originally WAS NOT for the European title and he'd think about the steps that led to that stipulation being added. Who would he blame? Taylor for accepting the call from the XWF representative, leading to the European title being added to the match? Dean McGovern for relentlessly hounding and harassing Punk about NOT putting the European title on the line? Chris Legend for being the first one to bring up that point before Dean ran with the idea? The fans for not supporting Punk enough or cheering him on during the match enough to motivate him? Worse yet...would he blame HIMSELF? CM Punk is an XWF champion today; a week from now he could be a man with nothing, sitting in a jail cell for murder. Talk about decline.

Imagine what it would be like to be Chris Legend and NOT win this match? You're the guy who paid a huge sum of money to have a custom gold and diamond belt made so you could defend it in this match; you're the guy who first thought of putting $20,000 of your own money up in addition to the cost of that custom title you've chosen to put up; you're the guy who has the most to gain from this win...but instead of gaining you will actually have lost a championship belt WITHOUT EVEN being a champion in the first place. It's one thing to just “not win” a title in a match; it's a whole other thing to be known as someone who “lost” a title belt without ever having won one. Not many people can pull that off.

Chris and Punk face what could very well lead them to their own self destruction respectively if they lose this match, but what about Dean?

Imagine being Dean McGovern in this match and imagine NOT winning. You just came into the XWF a few weeks ago and have only had three matches; the most recent being for your X-Treme title which you defended successfully. You've beaten countless attackers who have come for the X-Treme title under the 24/7 rules and even survived a confusing debacle that saw XWF newcomer, Lightning, almost become X-Treme champion through suspect means. You've beaten a peanut allergy attack and child molestation charges on top of all that and you're technically the newest name on the scene out of the guys in this match. You looked the best coming into the match and you've accomplished the most in the shortest span of time in relation to XWF debut date...it's a pretty safe bet that being Dean McGovern and losing this match would NOT be that bad at all. If anything it would only further solidify the fact that Dean will overcome these specific opponents because the last person to beat Dean in a match has since been defeated by Dean in their rematch; isn't that right, Zayne Vyper? Dean doesn't seem like the type of guy to take a loss and just move on. He's more likely to come at you even harder the next time if you should be fortunate enough to pin his shoulders to the mat or make him tap.

CM Punk; the man with everything to lose.

Chris Legend; the man with nothing to lose, even though he'll still somehow lose it.

Dean McGovern; the man with so much more to gain.

Time: Unconfirmed
Date: Friday, June 14
Location: Moxley's little workshop

Picture Santa's workshop with different elves all working on different projects.

Picture Santa walking in and all the elves cheering with joy upon his arrival, excited to each show him what they've been working on and the progress they've made.

Now, instead of Santa, picture Dean Moxley McGovern and instead of a red Santa suit he's wearing a red fuzzy robe.

Instead of elves, picture boys and girls who look to be in their younger teens, but they're still dressed up like elves.

Instead of a glorious workshop filled with toys, picture a warehouse filled with unusual odds and ends that appear to have been being collected throughout time.

So basically instead of picturing an elf running up to Santa with a new toy to show him, picture a teenage boy running up to Dean to show him a bag of salt.

  • That's right ladies and germs at home; tonight we're going to find out exactly what my ten weapons are for my match. I want you all to scope this shit out real carefully because you're about to see some of the most creative shit you've ever had the pleasure of viewing. My boys and girls have been working tirelessly in Moxley's workshop to come up with a surefire, unstoppable, perfect set of weapons for my match. You won't see me walking to the ring with some old baseball bat or some steel chair; oh no you're going to see me pulling out light sabers, proton beams, energon cubes and magic mists. When I pop out the arsenal my crew supplies me with, the people in attendance as well as my opponents are going to be in shock.

Dean takes the bag of salt from the first boy that runs up to him. Dean bounces the bag in his hand a couple times, feeling its weight and nodding in satisfaction. The boy tells Dean how he knew Dean would be wanting THIS during the match. Dean ruffles up the kid's hair and the kid starts to laugh as Dean turns to face the camera.

  • You guys watching? I told you my boys and girls know me well. There's nothing I enjoy more than opening up a fresh, juicy wound on a fresh and lively opponent so I can pour some salt into it. Have you ever had salt poured onto a part of your body that's had skin scraped off and then had that salt ground into your wound by the bottom of a wrestling boot? I'm going to go out on a limb and say Spunky Punky and the Legendary Pedophile haven't had that done. I'm going to try and scrape Chris Legend's hands up real bad so I can pour salt on them and stomp it deep inside, after the way I saw him trying to touch my friends on Wednesday night at Warfare. I might take the time to make sure CM Punk feels salty too but only time will tell! Somebody's getting salted like an order of greasy fries!

Dean holds the bag of salt up beside his face as the number “1” appears under it.

Dean's 1st weapon = Salt

TO BE CONTINUED

Sneak Peak: Dean reveals his next nine weapons as the children continue supplying him with their ideas and Dean also reveals a very special additional item he is going to put up for grabs in this match!
