Our scene opens as we’re on the inside of a secluded dressing room backstage following Leap of Faith. The shot is that of facing the backside of the closed door as the voice belonging to CHRIS PAGE; the TRUE Universal Champion is heard just as the doors starts to swing open.


CHRIS PAGE- “What the both of you need…”


The door opens as we see THE TRISTAN SLATER followed by JOHN “THE BEAST” CABLE entering the dressing room before CHRIS is physically shown spouting out while he slams the door shut before SLATER AND CABLE,


“Being locked in a dressing room to work this shit out!”


Both SLATER and CABLE make a move towards the door trying to feverishly open it up to no avail as it’s been locked. We see TRISTAN and CABLE back away from the door before squaring off with a heated stare down between the two former close friends and tag team partners. The history between TRISTAN and JOHN dates back many years ago to this very federation, the XWF. It was back then that THE TRISTAN SLATER was instrumental in getting the XWF off the ground under the SHANE era by becoming the inaugural XWF World Heavyweight Champion to cap of his Triple Crown achievement while JOHN started making some noise the moment he walked through the doors. A friendship started to brew between the two behind the scenes and it carried over to the WGWF where together the GLORIOUS NEWBREED was born. The two men carried the WGWF until THE TRISTAN SLATER’s World Title reign came before their friendship.


A blood feud had started.


… but never finished.


With JOHN popping up here and now is a shock to THE TRISTAN SLATER as the two men haven’t mutter a single word towards each other as the air is so thick you could cut it with a knife until the silence is finally broken.


THE TRISTAN SLATER- “Cable.”


TRISTAN sternly states which draws a quick response from JOHN.


JOHN CABLE- “Slater.”


Neither man has broken eye contact as the feel of the room is that any second these two are going to come to blows and tear the whole fucking building down.


THE TRISTAN SLATER- “I know you probably want to punch me in the face…”


JOHN immediately cuts TRISTAN off before he can even finish the sentence as he speaks over TRISTAN.


JOHN CABLE- “I want to do a hell of a lot more than that!”


THE TRISTAN SLATER- “Fair enough.”


THE TRISTAN SLATER holds both arms out seemingly acknowledging a free shot. John stands in front of SLATER where he starts to ball his right fist which hangs down at the side of his massive frame as TRISTAN states.


THE TRISTAN SLATER- “I’ll give you a free shot if it means you can put the past in the past and focus on why you’re here in the present. We’ve all been asked to do our part within this War against a company that’s done its part with all of our careers to fuck us over and fuck us out of what is rightfully ours. You can hold a grudge, you can choose to let your hate for me over run your piece to this war… but I won’t. You showed up at Leap of Faith, one could say you cost me the XWF Television Championship.”


I was well on my way to securing the TV Title before I was distracted, and while JOHN might have showed up to rip my throat out… Lux and company might have really fucked up by attempting to show some sort of power. Isn’t this the same person who agreed to tag with someone for this upcoming tag tournament only to back out? Isn’t this the same person that thought they was going to walk right into a Universal Title program that they’ve done NO work at all on; reminds me of Big D. Lux is another story for another day but what I will tell her and all her minions that you’ve just put yourselves in the line of fire.


THE TRISTAN SLATER- “I don’t see it that way… I see it as a way of getting even; a spade is a spade if you will.”


TRISTAN casually states as he continues.


THE TRISTAN SLATER- “I don’t hold it against you because I would have probably done the same thing. Regardless of what happens within these four walls isn’t going to change that we have been put together by CHRIS PAGE to take part in the Tag Title tournament; we are one of three teams put in place to take away the one set of belts that you and I never attained…”


Because they wasn’t around, mind you.


THE TRISTAN SLATER- “Of the three teams we have representing you and I are the two that have the most experience as a team and you and I are the two guys that snatch those belts away from the XWF and shit on them just like the company shit on us, how this plays is completely and totally up to you; if you take that shot with a meat hook you call a right fist the past will indeed be the past and we will move forward as a collective, cohesive unit restoring our legacy as one of the greatest tag teams this profession has ever seen.”


For the sakes of ANY team that runs across us you had better hope that the BEAST isn’t willing to let bygone be bygones and he holds a grudge because if we’re on the same page and we’re reading the same book all goddamn bets are off and you’re sure as shit going to be leaving with a “L” in the win/lose column because we aren’t anything nice to be played with and we aren’t going to allow the powers that be screw us like they screwed MDK and BILL as well as CHRIS PAGE himself at Leap of Faith.


The politics are going to end and this federation is going to crumble.


There’s new sets of battles that are about to unfold and depending on what side of the line in the sand you stand on will determine if you succeed or you fail; and if you’re waving that XWF flag you’re already doomed for failure.


THE TRISTAN SLATER- “It’s your call.”

SHOOTING THE SHIT:


Let me start off by addressing the Leap of Faith program as a whole; it fucking sucked.


It didn’t suck because I didn’t leave as the TV Champion because if I’m being honest a fluke roll up is a fluke roll up and doesn’t phase me or what endgame at all.


… It sucked because the nature of the politics that are consistently played and that have been a staple of this federation for as long as I can remember are still on firm display when you look at what happened within two specific instances; the first is how the XWF openly walked out and stripped MDK and BILL BLAKK of the Tag Titles moments after BEATING the bullshit paper champions that are the Apex-Prophecy. It’s was so on cue that it wasn’t even funny. I bet that had Apex-Prophecy, I don’t know, retained their titles that situation wouldn’t have even played out.


But the biggest piece of business was that Montreal job that unfolded with the Universal Title at stake.


It was almost enough for all of us to extend you the middle finger and walk away because it is PROOF that the more things change the more they stay the same; but had CHRIS not rallied us behind the scenes that would have been the case, and as he put it… would mean the XWF would win. He told us that in his eyes this was the office’s way of trying to eliminate a problem without addressing it… and he was right, everyone knows who the legitimate champion is, and everyone knows who the office champion is. Let’s take is a step further and discuss how the XWF is making this HUGE deal about a Tag Title Tournament for a set of titles that means less now than they did when they walked into Leap of Faith with the stunt they pulled and how they are so stupid they didn’t even name us correctly as a team. Its mind boggling how any of you on this roster have maintained any sort of sanity with the insanity that is your front office. We have three teams representing our side of the equation and instead of building to a showdown and making it mean something they send us out for the first round!


We get it.


We understand that you need less of us and more of you so that the odds that one of your lame ass tag teams has some sort of shot ending this tournament carrying those very tainted titles all the while attempting to drive some sort of wedge between the brotherhood; yeah, that’s probably not going to happen because we’re all hip to your game and you’d probably expect us to tear into each other’s flesh leaving nothing but the bone… that’s not going to happen either. When it comes to us within the brotherhood of talent that have arrived on the scene and made your programming something worth watching we’re not petty and we’re not going to give you what you want.


Instead I’ll tell you what you’re going to get with the pairing of JOHN CABLE and THE TRISTAN SLATER.


We’re two guys that are certainly not strangers when it comes to world of Tag Team Wrestling as well as singles action. Sure, we’ve had some problems in the past and I fully expect some of you to be foolish enough to attempt to use it as ammunition to fire at us… don’t be stupid, it’s your own funeral. What you should start to get familiar with is how while we have MDK and BILL BLAKK; the rightful tag team champions, we have FAMINE and JOHN GAMBINO the team that is going to take those straps and make them mean something is the team of The New Breed, or Cable TV if you believe the fucking marquee, yet when you’ve got a group of fucking calling the shots force feeding you mouthful of horse shit you’re simply accustomed to eating it. I digress, the New Breed is the premier team in this business when we’re cooking on all cylinders. Bad news for all of you is all the drama between JOHN and I is now in the past and we’re focused on the future.


… and our future is bright.


JOHN GAMBINO is a legend within this profession with multiple World and Universal Titles under his belt. He’s a man that you shouldn’t play with and is a man that is going to bring us everything he’s got, every breath in his body and every fiber of his being every time he steps foot through those ropes. He’s a Main Event Player in every sense of the word… but he’s not known to work collectively in a Tag Team dynamic regardless of who his partner is or the history that they might share. JOHN, in my humble opinion, it’s a joke that either you or FAMINE are involved in this type of affair because you’ve made it known your attention is directed towards some unfinished business. Regardless of that it’s going to be an honor to step in the ring with you and SHOW you exactly what the fuck I’m made of because this will be a first time ever affair and one that has been on my bucket list for a long, long time.


You’re going to find out that the last thing I am is all hype and you’re going to learn real quick that much like you got a call from CHRIS so did I.


FAMINE on the other hand I have a past with as we’ve done battle on some pretty serious platforms; and they all turned out the same, with my arm raised in victory. That’s not meant to be an insult so much as it’s a true statement… but I’m not foolish enough to rest on laurels because when you show up you show the fuck out. You are a bonified legend while I am a modern day icon. There’s a huge difference when you’re in the ring with someone like me as opposed to being in the ring with someone like PETER GILMOUR. I hope you enjoyed that tune up match because now you’re dealing with the grown folks and I’m not going to settle for second best. I think it’s safe to say that all four of us are completely aware that from bell to bell this isn’t about the war on the XWF so much as it’s going to be about which team wants those titles the most; I can’t speak for the two of you but I’d love nothing more than to stand atop of the Tag Team Division with those belts held high in the air with a BEAST by my side as we redefine what the division is suppose to be. CABLE and I are two guys that could wrestle framed pictures of JON BROWN and make it entertaining.

I’m also sorry in the same token with the fact that this attempt to break us apart is all for nothing because the four of us are competitive, the four of us are former World Champions and the four of us are going to tear the fucking house down from bell to bell… but when that final bell tolls we’ll shake each other hand before shifting our attention back to collectively tearing down your federation. You can save your screw jobs, you can keep your politics because we’re not interested in dealing with any of that… but if you fuck us over like you’ve fucked over PAGE, MDK and BILL BLAKK we won’t be so quiet about it and we’re going to demand heads on platters.


… and don’t you think I’ve forgotten about Blackwater sticking their nose in our business because payback is coming on that.


You’ve picked the wrong side and inserted yourself in business that’s so far above your pay grade it’s beyond funny, but we’re going to allow you to think you’ve done something of some substance and we’re going to let you sit back and shoot the shit about it for the time being, but remember this if you don’t remember anything else, he who laughs last laughs the loudest…. And we haven’t even begun to laugh yet. So on a night that will see Trolls, WWE Superstars and a bunch of curtain jerkers that think they’re talented you’ll get at least ONE match that is going to fit the bill and that will leave you all with the taste of satisfaction in your mouths as JOHN GAMBINO and FAMINE of the VILE will reunite for the first time in YEARS to take on THE NEW BREED and when the smoke clears and the dust settles it’s going to be a successful reuniting of THE NEW BREED as we stand tall and take out next step towards staking claim to the XWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP.


You don’t have to like it but you damn sure can’t change it.
