Before Savage Saturday Night...

Hollywood. Home of the film industry. Home of one of the XWF's flagship shows, Savage Saturday Night. And, starting today, the new home of one of the XWF's up-and-coming superstars, the self-proclaimed 'Young Lion,' Finn Kühn.

The aircraft gently soared through the sunset skies as it reached the LA International Airport, the wheels jumping out of the aircraft, assissting it in making a smooth landing.

After a brief period of time, the stairwell can be seen being wheeled in as the gate dropped. The anxious passengers quickly left the aircraft, needing to tend to their own important business, such as work, family, or perhaps making reservations for the night in one of the nearby hotels.

One of the last passengers to leave the plane was none other than the protagonist of this story, Finn Kühn, wearing a long hoodie and jeans, which seemed almost like suicide in the blistering Californian heat. The sunlight glared into his sunglasses, causing him to squint ever so slightly.

"Come on Finn, we're gonna be late!" Finn's best friend, Jon Williams said as he brushed past Finn. "We still gotta head to baggage claims, we still need to head to the arena, oh man there's so much to do!"

"Never thought I'd hear you be prissy about an XWF schedule," Finn sighed as he cracked his neck. "But yeah, I daresay we only have two hours tops. We need to move."

The pair proceeded to walk briskly, Finn pulling his hood up to prevent himself from being noticeable to any hardcore XWF fans that may have kept up with any promos on the site. Considering Jon only made a few brief appearances during Finn's promos for his match-up with Doctor Psycho and really wasn't distinguishable from a common man, he was safe.

"Now, just to make sure, you're one hundred percent sure your Uncle Carter is okay with us crashing at his place for the time being until we can score a place here?"

"Yeah, he seemed understanding enough. Apparently he watches the XWF too and kept his eye on your promos."

"Really? That's interesting."

"Yeah. Anyway, he should be expecting us shortly after the show."

"Good to hear in that case," Finn muttered as the duo head to baggage claims.

Following the events of Savage Saturday Night...

The vroom of the car could be heard as Finn and Jon made their way down through Hollywood. Both men had stupid grins on their faces as Finn performed brilliantly and earned an easy victory at Savage against one Doctor Psycho.

"Dude, that was awesome! The Frog Splash from the fucking ropes! The Sharpshooter! Man, you made quick work of that guy!" It was evident that Jon felt some pride in him as Finn had seemingly confirmed what he had said earlier- he wasn't going to need a second chance. This was all Finn was going to get, and he was going to make the most of it, potential injuries be damned.

"Man, did you expect anything less? Like you said yourself, I'm a goddamned beast in a fight." The pair cracked up laughing as the stench of alcohol permeated the old station wagon they were in- it was clear that they had gotten somewhat drunk following the win. They were so busy laughing that a car horn abruptly brought them from their sense of nirvana, Finn being forced to stop the vehicle as the car had passed the intersection unscathed.

"Oh, oh man. My buddy the XWF wrestler. Never thought I'd see the day," Jon laughed.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Finn responded with a loud hiccup.

"You just, oh, oh man. You just fuckin' took the brass ring."

"Come on man, it wasn't that dramatic."

"Sure it was, man," Jon belched, "That paycheck too man, whew. Never saw more zeroes in my entire life than that. Who- who you facing again next week? Chris something? Chaos?"

Finn laughed in response. "Man, I wish! It's another new guy. Valerius, I think his name is. Chris Valerius."

"Ohhhhh, I see," Jon hiccuped. "What's your impression about him?"

"Man, what the fuck do you want me to say? Kid's a fucking scrub that I'm sure won't have the balls to talk to me, haha!" Finn responded with a hearty chuckle.

"Just imagine though, if you could crack into a title picture. Just think, by this time next week I could be saying something along the lines of my best friend being Hart Champ, haha!" The continuous laughter from the duo was infectious, they had been laughing almost the entire promo and even the stalker cameraman can be heard stifling a chuckle.

Suddenly however, Finn's face turned serious like he had been the previous two promos. "If we're gonna be honest, I was thinking more of the Universal Championship."

Jon was about to laugh in response once more, however he noticed Finn's expression. "Shit, you're serious. You really want to go for the big one already?"

"Is there really a reason to doubt that I can't do it?"

"I dunno man, it's just... fuck, you literally only had one match, and that was against Doctor fucking Psycho. But..."

"But?" Asked Finn in confusion.

"Man, I can just imagine that shit-- Finn Kühn. The Young Lion. The Universal Champion. That shit just has a ring to it. Fuck it, I can get behind it!"

"That's the goddamned spirit!" Finn smiled wide as the pair drove down the Hollywood strips, lights shining everywhere as the sense of nirvana was creeping back. Even if the hangover would make them regret getting drunk, the pair would never forget this moment, this second. Just laughing, having fun, looking forward to the future, joking around and loving the XWF. They really were fans of the art of pro wrestling.

"On a serious note though..." Jon said as he managed to regain his composure. "Do you even know anything about this Chris Valerius guy?"

"Not a damned clue. Except..."

"Except?" Now it was Jon's turn to be in confusion.

"This guy is Finn Kühn-lite. You take me, strip me away of all my talent and just leave my brashness, my arrogance, my confidence and you're just left with a husk of a man that alks big but can't back it up. That's what Chris Valerius is. Unlike this guy, I don't pick fights I can't win. He wants to hide in his cozy little home or wherever the fuck he lives in Bumsfuckville, USA, fine. But when it comes time for Savage, that boy is getting the ass-whuping of a lifetime. I said it with Herjavech, and I'll say it again here-- even if I die, this fucker can't beat me. You and I both know that his moves are so fuckin' weak I'd kick out at 2."

"Harsh."

"You can't look at me with a straight face though and tell me that isn't true. This edgy Finn Kühn wannabe is about to learn at Savage that sometimes, imitation isn't flattery-- it's just goddamn annoying. I can't fuckin' wait until I face some real competiti--"

"LOOK OUT!"

Neither man saw the car coming until it was too late, both cars skidded across the road until a major collision blockaded the entire road. People screamed and cars blared their horns. Within a few minutes police sirons swarmed the area, with civil service men trying to get Finn, Jon and any other passengers from the car out.

What was Finn and Jon's fate? Would they be able to make it to Savage? Is Chris Valerius a Taylor Swift-loving ? Find out next time!
