I Need A Doctor

Stumbling down the sidewalk, small traces of blood beginning to form a trail---

It is all a blur. All you feel is pain, but even that is faded. The world is a cloud right now. Like looking through condensation covered lenses.

Numb.

All you know is that something is out of sorts. All you know is that you need help.

You dont know from where, or from who, but that you need it. The blood trail is getting thicker, where was everyone else? The streets were empty. It seemed to be only you.

Where was the doctor?

Was there even a doctor still?

Putting a hand on the wall nearby, your legs are growing week. But adrenaline is a fascinating thing. The human will to survive.

But how can one survive all by themselves?

That question would soon be answered.

Your friends were gone, they couldn't help. Your family is a memory. But the last time you saw the doctor, you became better than you ever were before. The doctor had powers that were unimaginable. The power to make you better, all while making himself weaker in the process.

The blood was a crimson red mark on the off-white surface.

Drop

Drop

Drop

You turn the corner. There are some people.

"I need a doctor" you somehow mutter.

Nobody says a word. Many stare at you some point at a place off in the distance. Some whisper under their breath. You push on. You have to.

The road ahead looks like a plane runway. It seems to never end. Where was the doctor?

It is seemingly an eternity before you see the signs of a place you remember before. A place where the doctor had made you better.

You could smell it.

But your legs were weakening.

Your ankles felt like they were jello.

Your knees felt like they would become liquid.

Your lips are dry, and your mouth tastes oddly like cotton. Your skin is clammy.

You're turning a little pale.

The doctor must be close.

Finally you reach an old worn out looking office. You are on your last leg. Collapsing literally at the door your body falling against it serves as a knock.

Opening the door was a secretary, who looked just as pale and weirdly ET-like as the doctor did. But this wasn't a time to judge.

"I need the doctor" your words are a rasp now. You don't recognize your own voice.

"The doctor hasn't worked in so, so long. The last time took so much out of him. I am not sure he has anything left."

At this point, desperation has set in. You try to crawl past this woman. Is it even a woman? There is no time to check. You are seeing a black border around your vision now. You reach up, but don't have the strength to turn the nob.

Collapsing in a heap the last thing you hear is the creaking of the door.....

"Hello, my friend!"

You don't know how much time has passed, or even what time is anymore, you just know its later than it was.

You walk out on your own two feet, and you feel miraculous. You walk away with renewed life and a whole life ahead of you while the doctor lies on his death bed.

You rise while he falls. The circle of life.

You need a doctor......... but it's up to you to return the favor.

"Doctor.....we meet again. The rubber match, so to speak. But only the second time if you truly want to measure one on one bouts. This time the Kings can't be at ringside. Neither can AX3. There are no excuses this time. This is the better man beating the better man. After last time, there are a lot of question marks. I've lost the Universal Title, I have been accused of hiding behind AX3, I have been called not as dominant as I once was. I have heard it all. But, Doc, at least they are talking about me. Who is talking about you? Everyone is talking about Theo Pryce and his band of well-dressed goons, but where is Doctor D'Ville in this discussion?

Nowhere to be found.

It's weird to me. When I first got here, all I heard about was the Doctor. Doctor D'Ville this and Doctor D'Ville that. Doctor Satan yadda yadda. Now, you've faded from the discussions. I mean, you rarely wrestle anymore, but when you do it just doesn't have that pop anymore. When I put you in that coffin last fall, Doc, I didn't just bury you in the match, I buried your career. I buried your legacy. I shut the coffin lid on an era of dominance. You've never been the same since. You've lost a step. I take full responsibility for it, but I do not apologize. All good things must come to an end, right?

Consider this the end.

It won't be long until your little buddies don't need you anymore and they cast you off like a leper. You're wearing the Scarlett Letter Doc, it's just covered by your clothes. Soon enough, that letter will come out and the legacy of the man that was once feared by all will be forgotten all together. You're days of relevance are numbered, Doc. And just think about it---think about somewhere down in your black heart---think about how Soldier feels. He sees the Doctor Satan name you two worked so hard to establish being thrown away like yesterday's garbage. The man you once considered a best friend, most likely crying between pipe hits in an RV somewhere. You don't have loyalty, you don't have morals---you jump on the first opportunity you see. The same thing you accused me of, you're guilty of all the same. How ironic, Doc, that you feel self-conscious enough to have to join a stable that didn't want you in your heyday.

What makes you think they WANT you now?

They need you because you have been here, you've faced me, you've seen my ascension. Hell, in a way you are responsible for it, and they want that knowledge. Once they think they have it, they will do to you what you did to Soldier and you will truly know how it feels.

But I need you too, Doc. I need you because I need competition. Believe it or not, there aren't very many left to give me a battle. Duke, he got lucky last week, and Mystica, I'm gonna set him on fire on Warfare. The rest of them are with me in AX3. I will win the Universal Title again from my AX3 brother Caedus, then who will be left? Maybe Duke, possibly Danny Imperial....and you, Doc. I need the Doctor to keep beating on because our matches sell tickets. Our matches make people interested. Me beating the resident legend of the XWF keeps asses in seats.

BUT.....but, but, but......there's more. You see, you've established quite the win/loss record. You haven't fought much on Savage. But I look back at your history. Your last two "losses", you weren't pinned. You just "lost" simply because you didn't "win." Your last TRUE loss, Doc, was wayyyy back in October and guess who it was to? That's right. Moi. But now you walk onto MY show, a show I HAVE MADE FAMOUS, and you have to face me again. Good Luck. You're record states 38-9-1, though it needs a little updating. Don't give me that bullshit about win/loss records do not matter, they do. If you could make your little page say 39-8-1, you would. But that 9 is a glaring, burning hole in you. Your last singles loss. My ascension. The reason I have been able to create as much chaos as I have.

BY BEATING YOU.

You won't beat me Doc, because you can't beat me. You've run through them all in your time here, but I am the one motherfucker you just can't seem to get a handle on. I am the one bastard that makes you pull out what hair you have left. Look what I have done to this company. It is more chaotic now than it has EVER been. All because I have woven the web, and there is a lot more left. Beating you AGAIN is part of it. You see this AX3/Kings rivalry is going to be a war. Tensions are brewing. You will probably hold it over my head that The Kings have the 1 up due to the events two weeks ago. Yippee. Anyone watching that match knows I had it won on several occasions, before you needed your boys to step in. You wouldn't have your precious little belt without them.

So what will you do when you're all alone?

You will do what you did last time, Doc. You will lose. I have never been so hungry. I have never wanted anything so much, other than the Universal Title, of course. But what motivation will they have to give me that title shot at the Pay Per View without a win here? I need this. I need the Doctor. I need this Doctor. I need you to show up and give me a fight. I need you to show up and battle me damn near to the death. Then, Doc, I need you to fall to the Equalizer like so many have before. I need to beat you again and earn my shot at the glory that beating a man of your status provides.

I need you to step up so I can put you down.

Again.

I need a doctor. And the Doctor needs to stay relevant in the wrestling world.

I need a doctor.

And for the first time in his career......the Doctor needs me."
