Wednesday Warfare is holding a house show event in Oklahoma City. Even though the entirety of the event will never air on television, camera crews are present. They always are. In the XWF, you just never know who might show up. They're a lot of fun for the talent. They don't have to abide by the strict television guidelines set by the Network. They don't have to fit 6 or 7 matches into a two hour time slot. No, these events can be many matches and span four hours. The talent enjoys them.

Myself, I don't typically make many house show appearances. It's one of the perks of being Champion in the XWF. Someday I'll lose it. Just not anytime soon. Every dog has their day.

Anyhow, I decided to give the XWF fans in Oklahoma City a little treat. My motorcade pulls up into the arena and I exit one of my Suburbans. In full XWF ring attire, I head toward the arena.

Inside the arena the fans are beginning to calm down after a short intermission immediately after a succession of competitive matches. When suddenly, the arena lights go out completely and the arena falls nearly completely silent.

After about thirty seconds of darkness and near silence goes by and the crowd is startled by the explosion of fire engulfing the X-Tron. Sebastian Duke's Hades theme song cues up.


STEVE SAYORS: "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome your XWF United States Champion... The Angel of Darkness himself, SEBASTIAN DUKE!!"


Duke heads to the ring, flanked on either side by torch bearers lighting his path. As he nears the ring, the flames die out and the ring is cloaked in a dim, red light. He holds his hand it, waiting for Sayors to give up the mic.


STEVE SAYORS: "Yeah, yeah. I know. You don't need me."


Sayors hands Duke the mic and exits the ring. Duke stands leaning against the corner.


SEBASTIAN DUKE: "I have a couple of things on my mind. First, is Wallace Witasick. A man that I had a decent working relationship with. A man that has made it a priority to make sure the Angel of Darkness is no longer the champion."


The crowd cheers.


SEBASTIAN DUKE: "Oh, that makes you happy?"


The crowd cheers gain.


SEBASTIAN DUKE: "Let me get this straight! It makes you people happy that some jackass in a suit will stop at nothing to take something I worked my ass off earning?"


A bit of a mixed reaction this time, but still at least a small majority of cheers.


SEBASTIAN DUKE: "All for what? Because of my association with Shane Carvers Black Circle! I have never once used them to my advantage! When they show up, they do so at their own free will. NOT at my request!

"It's alright. Wallace wants to play hardball with Angel of Darkness, a hardball is what he's going to get! Witasick, I respectfully request that you stay out of my damn way. If you don't, I won't hesitate to rip you and your drone apart. Piece, by piece, by little piece...

"If you think it's an empty threat, Wallace... I assure you, I don't make empty threats. Step out of the way and allow the chips to fall where they may.

"That brings me to the next thing on my mind. Steve Davids and KnightMask.


The crowd cheers.


SEBASTIAN DUKE: "Really? You like KnightMask?"


Again, the crowd cheers.


SEBASTIAN DUKE: "Anyhow, these two jackasses get to compete against one another with the winner getting a shot at me and my United States title."


Crowd cheers again. Duke lays the title on the turnbuckle and looks out toward the crowd as he leans against the top rope.


SEBASTIAN DUKE: "There's only one catch, boys. Your referee, is the very man you wish to face. Sebastian Duke."


Crowd boos.


SEBASTIAN DUKE: "Look, you guys can love me, hate me, boo me, or cheer me. It doesn't make much difference to me. I still get paid either way."


Crowd boos heavier.


SEBASTIAN DUKE: "There are a lot of ways you can look at this. I could go in there and call it right down the middle and let the best man win."


Much to Dukes surprise, they boo.


SEBASTIAN DUKE: "That's kind of funny. I'll admit it. The very same people that hate me for being so "evil" don't want me to call the match fair and square.

"Maybe, I should leave it up to you guys."


The fans pop.


SEBASTIAN DUKE: "Would you guys like me to go into Warfare and favor Steve Davids?"


The crowd boos.


SEBASTIAN DUKE: "Yeah. I didn't think so.

"What if I went to Warfare and favored KnightMask, would you like that?"


The crowd pops hysterically.


SEBASTIAN DUKE: "That's what I'm not understanding. You guys hate me because I'm so "evil" and "underhanded". Yet you support a man like Witasick who wants to take my title from me because of who my friends are. You support a theoretical position of a crooked referee favoring one man over the other!"


More crowd pops.


SEBASTIAN DUKE: "You people are hypocrites! You truly are! It literally boggles my mind. It's a dark day for the United States of America when you support an injustice towards any man in favor of another.

"The fact is I get to go in and hand pick my next challenger. Steve Davids? Or KnightMask? The way I see it is it's a win-win scenario. If I count KnightMask down, I have a much easier path to successfully defending my title.

"If I go in there and count down Davids, then.... Actually I still have an easy path to a successful defense. It doesn't much matter.

"In the final analysis, you two boys better be ready. You're now on the path to enlightenment.

"The Angel of Darkness is your Leader....

"Trust me."


Duke tosses the mic and the X-Tron explodes in flames again. Duke's entrance music cues up and makes his exit.
