WHEN I BITE
YOU BLEED
YOU FIGHT
I MUST FEED
It is an unsettling cool damp evening in the normally sunny Las Vegas. A thunderstorm is brewing as a torrential downpour begins to coat the busy Vegas strip with a fresh rain. Thunder can be heard in the distance, as lightning dances across the clouds, lighting up the night sky. The rain sends the locals and tourists alike scurrying indoors. All but one. As the cameras begin to narrow in on the roof of the MGM Grand, the shadowy figure known as Ambrogio sits perched with his legs dangling off the edge of the building. A powerful wind causing his body to sway back and forth. A bolt of lightning then strikes the roof, only a few meters away from where he sits, but he is un-phased. A few moments pass, and then he begins to speak.
AMBROGIO: There is nothing more mesmerizing to me than mother nature. Over two hundred years I have lived, and she is the one thing that is consistent. Her powers are felt from one edge of the world to the other. I have seen it all. Tornados, hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes. Yet the beauty of a lightning storm still appeals to me. If there is one thing I have learned over the years, is to capture each moment like a still frame in the back of my mind. All of these mortals, with a limited clock, running around going to work or coming home. Running to the mall to buy the newest movie to hit the shelves, or trying to be on time for their dinner date. They all forget to take a moment to enjoy the beauty that this world has to offer. It makes no sense to me.
Anyway, I should really avert my focus back to the matter at hand. Saturday is coming a lot faster than I had thought it would. And as we draw closer to the event I find myself asking questions. Why do I bother, and what am I hoping to gain. I guess that all boils down to the simple fact that there is nothing better to do with my time. Two hundred years is a long time, and I guess I am running out of ways to pass the time. However, in doing so I have to burden myself with listening to pathetic simple minded beings such as the likes of Caius.
To be honest it took me by surprise to even hear him open his mouth, and address the fact that we have a match tomorrow night. I mean it is not like you had two weeks already to run that pathetic mouth of yours. You had to leave it until the window of time begins to come to a close. But not only that, it was disappointing to me to hear the words that came spilling out of your mouth. Speculations of how our match is going to turn out, and the usual larger than life attitude that has become the norm for the likes of the XWF superstars. A little originality on your part, would be a breath of fresh air.
So with that being said I am going to do everyone a favor, and not speculate. However I will say that you are sadly mistaken, and that I am positive that tomorrow night is going to be a disappointment for you. I have no intention of walking out of that ring tomorrow with nothing shorter than a victory. Your empty threats and foolish interpretations of who I am, and what I am capable of flabbergast me. I think that tomorrow night you are going to be in for the shock of your sorry excuse for a life. I just do not foresee it turning out even remotely the way you assume it will.
Your first match here in the XWF, it is a shame that you have to face me. Normally I would root for you in your debut, but that just is not going to be the case. Maybe this will open your eyes a little bit so you can grow to have a better understanding of the world in which you live in. Things are not always as they appear, and I feel as though you fail to see the bigger picture. Life is a jigsaw puzzle of lessons, and once we learn one it is placed into position as we move to the next piece. You are still struggling to assemble your corners, where as I am on my third puzzle. I have learned more in my life in the past twenty five years than what you will come to understand in your whole life time.
As per your comment about being able to see my weakness through my eyes. You must understand that the only thing my eyes portray is death. These eyes of mine, may very well be the last ones you see. These eyes have stared into the souls of many mortals right before their souls escape their bodies, and their skin grows colder and their iris's begin to lose their color. There is nothing more un-forgettable and breath-taking to me, than watching death fill the eyes of another lost soul.
Will that be you Caius? Are you willing to take the chance? As for me showing up, that much is guaranteed. Maybe I have made myself clear, and you will question the validity of some of your mindless statements. And perhaps draw a different conclusion. Now onto more pressing matters. It had been my intention to take your life tomorrow night, to fulfill my blood lust. However it is beginning to become unbearable. Tonight is the night for me to feed, I cannot hold out for any longer. So you dodged a bullet there my friend, well we will see.... I always make sure to leave room for desert.
Ambrogio tips his head back pointing his nose up to the heavens, as he takes a long powerful sniff of the brisk night air. He catches the scent of his next unsuspecting victim, and disappears within a matter of seconds. To indulge himself with another feast of human blood.
