We found out that Mastermind's father had remarried, and had started another family. We also found out that Mastermind's father, Jack, has been keeping tab on of Mastermind's matches. From his memorabilia room to his t-shirt room, and Mastermind felt like he had been too hard on his father. And he felt like it was time to let the anger and the past go.

"I think I know what I have to do now."

Mastermind stood up.

MARIA: "And what's that?"

Mastermind turned to her and gave her a little hug.

"I need to speak to my father."

MARIA: "Do you want me to come with you?"

"I need to see him by myself face to face. I think I am strong enough."

SUSAN: "Why don't we go and make some coffees?"

MARIA: "Sure lets do that."

SUSAN: "Come on Mac you can come with us."

MAC: "Okay Grandma."

Mastermind followed Susan, Mac, and Maria out of the t-shirt room, and followed them down the stairs, and then down the long hallway, They veered off obviously towards the kitchen, he headed back to the conference room, and went in. His father was sitting across the table typing away on a lap top. He looked up. Mastermind slowly walked over to the table. Pulled out a chair and sat down.

They stared at one another for a few minutes before Jack broke the silence.

JACK: "So big week coming up for you then. First that army dude Tommy Gunn, and then that colourful character John Black. Do you think you can pull off some more wins?"

"I'm going to try. I know I have a great shot against John Black."

JACK: "That's good another t-shirt to add to the collection."

Jack smiled. Mastermind just sat there. Another minute or two went by in silence.

"Look here's where I'm at."

JACK: "I'm all ears."

Mastermind sighed and sat forward.

"I took my anger out on you when I thought you turned your back on me, and I just found out you didn't so I'm sorry. I'm sorry for blaming you for mums death. I'm sorry for yelling at you that you moved on with Susan, she seems nice. Your grandkid too. It's just going to take a little while to get my head around these developments."

JACK: "We could try asking Susan to help."

"She's a bit too close to home sorry. I want to get to know my step brothers and sisters and neices and nephews, only if you want me to."

JACK: "Of course I want you to. We're all family."

"Then please let me sort my head space out, and give me a bit of time."

JACK: "Okay, I can do that for you."

"I'm blown away on what you did upstairs. That's so much effort."

Jack smiled.

JACK: "I wanted to support you, you are my child, and well I felt guilty for what I did, but I had to do it at the time, I had to let you go, I had to force myself to turn away from you, because if you had stayed I would have hated you, and I didn't want to hate you. I checked up on you constantly but I made coach Clarkeson promise me that he would never tell you that I was keeping tabs to see how you were doing."

"Just like you did with Jack Armstrong, my former business Manager?"

JACK: "Like I said I had to do what I had to do. I'm sorry about that."

Mastermind could feel anger well up inside of him, he started to breathe in and out, but then stood up.

"I'm sorry I need to go. I feel really angry and don't want to explode again. So I'm going to go. I'll get my head sorted, and be back in touch."

Jack stood up.

JACK: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you angry. It is what it is."

Mastermind held up his hand to stop Jack from talking.

"It's my issue I'll deal with it."

Mastermind turned and walked towards the door. Jack tried to speak but couldn't. He just had to let him go, again.

"Maria we're going."

Mastermind walked down the hallway. Both Maria and Susan walked into the conference room.

SUSAN: "What happened?"

JACK: "We were talking okay, but then he just started to get angry when I said I got in touch with a few people but made them promise no to tell him I was checking up on him. He needs to get his issues sorted."

MARIA: "Just give him some time. I'll make sure we'll come back."

SUSAN: "Just let him get his head together first."

Maria nodded, and left the room, following Mastermind.

Mastermind stood outside the house, with his hand on the wall, breathing in and out, he then got out his cell phone. He dialled a number.

"Yes I need a phone number for Doctor Louis D'Ville please.... Yes I'll hold... Yup still here.... Thanks."

Mastermind hung up and dialed another number. Maria joined him outside, and he headed towards the car. She followed.

"Hey Doc, it's Mastermind. Sorry to call you like this, but I would like to make an appointment to come and see you. Seen you are in to crazy ass therapy I need a session with you.... Can you help?.... Awesome... After Wednesday Night Warfare? Cool... See you then.... Bye."

Mastermind hung up, and placed the phone in his pocket, and opened the car door, looking at Maria.

"It's okay babe I'm fine. My heads in a mess, and I need to get it sorted."

MARIA: "And you're doing that by going to one of your opponents in the XWF? Do you think that's wise? You have to get through Gunn and then Black this week. You're mind will be scrambled, and opened for the Doc to take control of."

"Behind me, he's the best in the business in regards to Mind Therapy. I trust him. Even though I've lost to him once or twice. I'll be fine."

MARIA: "Okay then if you say so."

Maria jumped in the car and so did Mastermind and they drove away.

"I have the feeling John Black that you are going to do a Maverick. What's that, what is a Maverick you ask? Let me tell you what that means. Maverick as you may or may not be aware most of the time, does one promo, and when he thinks the going gets tough for him, he takes off like a pig squealing all the way home.

"I don't think you could squeal like a pig not like Maverick, but you'll probably pack it in, because it got too hard for you. Quit like a quitter. That's what you are good for aren't you? That's why you turn up once or twice every so often, think that you are doing your best, but because your best is not good enough you quit.

"So go on JB, quit. Quit like a quitter. Quit like Maverick. Do a Maverick. There's only so much room to be a quitter.

"What do you have to say for yourself JB if you are not going to do a Maverick? Please by all means, sprout some more bullshit. Dig up some more dirt, so that it'll be easier for you to lay down and get buried with after our match, because I am going to beat you come Wednesday. I won't be the one who will be shamed, because I will win. You will be the one to feel that shame. The shame of losing to Mastermind.

"So do us all a favor and do a Maverick. Blow on out of here like a tumbleweed blowing through a mid western town that is deserted. Please for your own sake and sanity do that."
