I sit in my darkened office, staring into the television. On the screen is a rebroadcast of David Crosby playing a live acoustic concert. The song 'Thousand Roads' seems fitting to me as I listen intently. The song itself shares a contiguous line with my own life and my own career.

I have traveled a thousand roads to get where I am today. I've traveled up and down the mountain that is the Xtreme Wrestling Federation so much that it no longer matters to me whether I win or if I lose. When all of the smoke clears and the dust finally settles and the King of Darkness rides off into the sunset for the final time, all that matters, all that matters to me, is that all of you remember my name.

Remember my name as if I was once the great destroyer that I still am today. Remember my name as if everything I have ever done in front of you people was to leave a lasting impression of what greatness truly is. Remember the legend of Sebastian Duke as if no matter whether he lives or he dies that he's eternal. Immortal in the minds of Maniacs and Warriors alike.

I've done my absolute best to leave a lasting impression since the day I stepped foot into this company. Whether you love me, hate me, fear me, want me dead. No matter what, no matter what, fans of the xtreme wrestling federation, you will remember my name. You will remember all that I have done. My successes as well as my failures will be remembered.

Why?

Because I am a legend.

Legends transcend time and without question, the legacy I have forged with a great amount of destruction. A great amount of blood. A great amount of brute fucking force. The legacy I have forged in my wake will outlive us all.

From Sid Feder to Mark fucking Flynn. From Unknown fucking Soldier to John Madison. From Azrael Erebus to Peter fucking Gilmour. Griffin MacAlister, Theo fucking Pryce, Mystica, NAZI. I have stood in that ring and I have stared into their eyes. Together we've created art. A tapestry of all that is xtreme. A legacy beyond that of just a two bit hack like Michael McBride. We've all taken each other to the depths of hell. Not a single one of us would change a God damn thing, why?

Because legends are born. Not taught. Legends are born from striving to be better and better each and every time you step through the entrance way and walk toward an xtreme wrestling federation ring.

The fact of the matter is, that I have done everything there is to do and I've won everything there is to win. All that is left for your King of Darkness, is to continue on destroying those that stand in his path. So, thats what I do.

If you ask anyone I have ever faced they'll tell you that I am without a doubt one of their hardest opponents they've ever faced. Unknown Soldier? I became the first to pin him and he want back to his goat farm or wherever the hell he goes when he's not here. He only shows his face around here sporadically.

Mark Flynn? He was the first one to call me a legend. He was one of the best the XWF had to offer and I beat him every god damn time I faced him. Not only that, but I effectively ended his time in the spotlight.

John Madison? He and I went toe to toe and while I did lose, John Madison has never been the same. He lost the crown to some wannabe legend named Theo Pryce. A man I beat easily.

Erebus? He and I beat each other up so bad, that we actually found a mutual respect and a friendship for one another.

Can guys like McBride say that?

Austin?

No, no they can't.

As I said, there are a thousand roads that lead up and down the mountain of the XWF. Way too many choose the path of least resistance. Whereas I choose nothing but the hardest. Men who have tremendous skill and potential, like Michael McBride for example, show their true weakness by squaring off against low talent losers like Liz Hathaway or Wyatt Reynolds.

The very few times Michael McBride chooses the path of greatest resistance he's failed. I feel I should remind you that failing against an opponent greater than you is not only expected, its also not disgraceful. You tried, right?

The only way, McBride, to become better and to forge a legacy that can never be broken is by facing those that are thought to be better than you. Only then can you truly put yourself to the test and truly push yourself past your comfortable limits into a zone that make many feel uncomfortable.

McBride, take a lesson from another loser in John Austin. Pick a fight with someone better than you.

John Austin has it in his mind that he can defeat me. John Austin picks a spot and delivers an underhanded attack to the King of Darkness that almost made me smile inside. Why? Because he's picking on someone that can quite literally snap his neck like a fucking twig.

Does my status as a legend scare John Austin?

No. It doesn't. And it shouldn't.

It does however, scare the living shit out of Michael McBride.

John Austin has a killer instinct. He wants to be the best in the business and he knows the only way to do it, is by facing talent that is superior to him. Who knows? Maybe one day, John Austin will become a legend with a legacy of greatness. Just as I have.

Seems unlikely.

This week, I take a road I've traveled before. Azrael Erebus versus Sebastian Duke.

One.

Last.

Time.

I've not beaten him. For arguments sake, I'll mention to my friend that he's needed help both times he buried me alive. The first time from John Madison. Last time, by Eli James.

Which reminds me, Eli James... I have not forgotten. I will not forget. Your days with my Universal Championship are numbered. Tick tock, goes the clock, Eli. I'm coming for you, whether you're ready or not.

Back to my friendly encounter with Azrael Erebus. You are my friend but I need you to listen. If you've tuned me out this entire time, I want you to tune into this. I know who your manager is. I've seen what he's done in efforts to aid his clients. Outside the ring I think we're friends. I think you think that also. But inside that ring, Azrael, there are no friends and I know you are smart enough to realize that.

When it comes to the ring, there's only two people in this world that I trust.

One of 'ems me.

The others not you.

I think you'll come at me full throttle, Azrael.

I'd expect nothing less.

We've been down this road before. It's nothing either of us are strangers to. As in-ring rivalries go, I think we got the best thing going. No matter the winner, I hope you'll do the honorable thing and shake my hand when I beat you.

You and I both know, that this time is different, my friend. You and I will meet one on one and for once, it'll stay that way. We'll get locked inside Paul Heymans chamber of horrors and no one can interfere. This time, we'll find out who the better man really is.

No one gets in.

No one gets out.

No excuses.

One of us will finally get that elusive win over the other.

The other guy is you.
