The rain is finally beginning to let up, but that is the least of Chris Fame's worries at this time. He stares at the front nose of his bus transport, where another car has casually found its way into. He is clenching his fists tightly for three seconds before releasing in hopes to calm his anger. Lana Marie is off making sure the passenger from the vehicle is getting helped on to the ambulance properly. The driver of Fame's bus is long gone after receiving a verbal lashing from the superstar. Fame kicks the left rear tire of the totaled red vehicle, and turns to look off into the distance.
“Is this what I get for deciding to make a return? Is this the kind of fortune I can expect to have entering this leg of my career? You're really beginning to piss me off, so you should probably stop.” -Chris Fame
Lana had made her way back over to Chris, but stayed back a few feet as she watched him talk to absolutely no one in particular. She stayed silent a few more seconds before clearing her throat to get the angered mans attention.
“Um Chris, I just wanted to let you know that the passenger of the car is in stable condition and is expected to recover. I'd say everyone got lucky in that situation, but...who are you talking to?” -Lana Marie
Fame's attention was quickly snatched by her voice, as he didn't think anyone was within ear shot. He simply grunted and pushed his way past her beginning to walk down the road. She yelled out to him, but he ignored her just wanting to be alone. The rain drops fell in a slow, repetitious pattern on his shoulders and bare head, but those too he also ignored. He continue once again to talk to himself.
“Madness is soon approaching, and I am stuck here on the side of some mistreated highway. Would be a great first impression to show up blank at my first event wouldn't it? I bet you would get a laugh out of that wouldn't you!” -Chris Fame
Fame shouted up the sky, and pointed a finger to the dark clouds above. Only he knew exactly who he is talking to, and most probably would rather not know the lunacy that courses through his head. Kicking rocks into the brush of the ditch, he shoves his hands into his pockets as he continues to walk.
“Might as well make use of this time alone that I have. The sickly little girl had started something that I should finish. She left off with asking me about the good Doctor. Oh the Doc, you are definitely a character. You probably would be the most animated of our bunch this week if it wasn't for LH being involved. Let me tell you something Mr. Inspiration, there are things we need to clear up. Apparently you have heard some things about me that are not exactly true. We can attribute these beliefs of yours to either your psychosis or stupidity, which ever you feel favors your fandom better. You seem to think I have a reputation of child like tantrums and quitting when I lose. You must be hearing of the wrong Chris Fame, because this one has only wrestled for one organization prior to signing here. I began and ended with Xtreme Wrestling Organization after a career that spanned six years., and that ended four years ago. With you being at the ripe age of twenty three, I wouldn't expect to have heard a thing about me considering my career started when you were just turning thirteen. Let me give you a tip from a veteran, do your homework before you try an trash talk. Not doing so makes you uninspirational.” -Chris Fame
Fame continues to walk down the road way ignoring the motorists that speed by on the way to whatever their destination might be. The sun is beginning to peak out through some small pockets in the dark clouds, but not in any enormous manner. He sighs and begins to speak again about his upcoming opponents.
“You see LH, as I walk here somewhere in the state of Oklahoma, I look ahead to exactly what awaits me in Columbus. You and the Doctor have been spewing a lot of words, and the funny part about it is it really shows who each of you is concerned about. You talk constantly about the Doc, and he talks for days about Kristen Silver. Then you have Miss Silver, who only wants to talk about herself. None of you have spent more than a couple whispers talking about me and that is honestly perfectly fine with me. Kristen is so damned determined to receive some respect she feels she deserves. Do we know who you are? Absolutely Silver, we know exactly who you are. A stuck up, full of herself, twat swatter that thinks she deserves to be the only one breathing air. Sweetheart, you aren't even hot enough to share my air with me. Pair that with your obnoxious voice and you got yourself two negatives, and in this case it doesn't make a positive. None of you really are a concern to me going in to Monday, but I promise you I am more concerned about the challenge lacing my boots will be than what you present in the ring. Cheers babe, you'll be getting what you asked for....recognition.” -Chris Fame
The wind around Fame began to pick up, but not due to the weather. Above him descended a helicopter in his direction. He covered his eyes and looked up at the small chopper lowering itself towards him. It is then that he saw his manager Lana Marie stick her head out and wave to him. Even though he shook his head in disbelief , he still made his way inside the aircraft when it landed. Lana stared at him curiously, as he continued to stare out the window of the chopper.
“You know Lana, this trip we took has really taught me something. I made the decision to ride the bus because everyone else seemed to be traveling across country behind their motor vehicles. Kristen Silver in her Bentley Continental and the Doctor in his Honda Accord. Hell even LH took ride metaphysically through space and time to get to Madness. The only one who didn't is Shelby, but then again he seems stuck in the nineteen hundreds. Want to know what I learned Lana?” -Chris Fame
“What is that Chris? -Lana Marie
“Flying is so much easier. We definitely should have flown.” -Chris Fame
Fame smirks, and looks back at his manager who is smacking her forehead in disbelief. After all, this is what she said at the very beginning.
